Does it help to be stupid?
A professor of law at a major university, a frequent expert guest on Fox News, is trying to tamp down another MAGA kamikaze mission.
The Internet has erupted over another re-posting by former Donald Trump. Trump re-posted a supporter’s “fantasy” of executing a citizen’s arrest of Judge Arthur Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
So warns Jonathan Turley, professor of law at George Washington University. This is a guy who testified on behalf of Trump at some of the impeachments.
It was described as a fantasy but it remains a dangerous (and uninformed) suggestion that some could easily take seriously. That is particularly the case after the reckless attacks of Trump on critics as “vermin” and pledging to go after them if reelected.
Criminal act? Trump supporters?
That’s what the dope fiends back in our college days would call a real mind f*ck. Far out, man! Like, just WOW! “Just in case anyone is taking such a statement as more than a fantasy,” Turley cautions: “There is no basis for a citizen’s arrest and such an effort to physically hold either the judge or the attorney general would most certainly constitute a criminal act.”
Where was law prof Turley on January 6?
As crazy as the notion of making a citizen’s arrest of a judge and a state attorney general, Turley felt it necessary to caution otherwise.
Who would be that crazy / stupid / gullible? How about the QAnon addict who charged into the Comet Ping Pong pizzeria in Washington D.C. during the 2016 campaign season, locked and loaded with an AR-15. The poor bastid was cocksure that he would find Hillary Clinton in high heels and black tights in the basement abusing hundreds of children in service of her worldwide ring of pedophiles. Then again, there are MAGA millions who swear January 6 (2021) was an AARP senior citizens guided bus tour. Or who blame it all on a man named Ray. Who believe a well organized cabal of Wisconsin nursing home operators fudged absentee ballots in the name of their comatose clients on behalf of Joe Biden. Or Jewish space lasers … or Hugo Chavez and algorithms … suitcases full of ballots … two black women in Fulton County … Pez dispensers …. And on and on.
Join the club, professor Turley! You are now a RINO in good standing!
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Can’t we ping smartphones with the equivalent of an amber alert? Post warnings on those overhead highway message signs. Instead of a silver alert it would be a Trump alert.

Politics are all absurdly crazy these days so it’s Situation Normal All F’ed Up (SNAFU).
The way I see things heading, I see the 2024 election as being a societal and cultural disaster for the United States of America no matter who is elected the reactions are going to be bad. The bureaucracy is in charge and that bureaucracy is rapidly approaching being 100% dominated by the extreme faction of the political left with an activist Pravda-USA like “progressive” (read regressive) media monopoly completely onboard with in-your-face propaganda. The dominate bureaucracy no longer cares one bit about the Constitution.
We are rapidly reaching the precipice of hate inspired political violence & outright political persecution in the USA and that will slide us down the greased up slippery slope directly into totalitarianism as the dominate political force across the USA and they will either destroy our Constitution or completely ignoring that it exists. Remember, laws are only good if they are supported and enforced.
My hope for a common sense solution to what ails the USA is all but gone, we’re too far gone.
Be forewarned and be prepared.
