Will GOP get wise?
We don’t know and neither does anyone, so our guess is as good as yours. But we hear whispering. Detect the flash of knives. Feel the disquiet in the ranks of Democrat(ic) crews. Robert DiNiro is doing his angry smile, like he did at Morrie Kessler before he whacked him in Goodfellas. Joe Biden is in Democrats’ cross hairs. The man is not long for the presidential ballot. Dead man walking.
Sunday’s New York Times-Siena College poll is the bell that tolls for he. It shows Joe Biden losing to Donald Trump in five of the six toss-up states: Pennsylvania by 4 points, Arizona and Michigan by 5 points each, Georgia by 6, Nevada by 10. Only our beloved Wisconsin turns blue but only by a margin of error 2 points.

Uncle Joe was never any Democrat’s first choice. His entire raison d’etre was that he could beat Trump. Until he couldn’t. Say this for our Democrat(ic) adversaries, they don’t do nostalgia. Loyalty is for losers.
Things cost too much and Blaska can’t get his car fixed. We’re paying for at least two proxy wars with no end in sight. The Mexican border is rolling up the gates in azure-blue New York City. No one is drinking Bud Light. Woke is a bad joke. Hollywood is on strike. They’re taking away our gas stoves. The FBI is stalking Catholic parents. If Antony Blinken wants to stop the killing, he should go to Chicago. And Uncle Joe is movin’ kinda slow at the Junction. Petticoat Junction. According to that NY Times/Siena poll, 71% say Biden is too old (to 39% who say that about Trump).
Dean Phillips, D-Minnesota, could prove to be the reincarnation of Clean for Gene McCarthy, the 1968 upstart who forced Bobby Kennedy into the race and incumbent President LBJ out.
Will Republicans be ready?
Which takes us to Blaska’s Dump Trump movement. NY Times/Sienna says Nikki Haley cleans Biden’s clock in all six toss-up states — Wisconsin, especially! Where Biden wins our state by 2 points against Trump, Nikki beats Biden (as rock beats scissors) by 13 points! Ron DeSantis takes four of the six states by smaller margins (Wisconsin by only 4 points against Biden) and ties in Georgia and Michigan.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: That’s yet another reason that Democrats will jettison Biden and his even less popular veep. They can’t take any chances that Trump gets sent to the hoosegow and a real, constitutional Republican gets nominated! If Republicans were smart (the biggest “If” in the universe) they would move beyond Trump and his grievances.
