‘Indicted again’

America’s political centrifuge is spinning out of control!

The ancient philosopher said there was nothing new under the sun. He never met Donald Trump. The Head Groundskeeper has experienced a few score years in retail politics but this rewrites the book. The all-CAPS headline in today’s local fish wrap tells it all: “INDICTED AGAIN.” At this rate, further indictments will be Page 3 news.

Can anyone imagine Dwight Eisenhower as the subject of that headline? George Bush the Elder? Even Nixon did the honorable thing and fell on his sword.

We need a scorecard to sort out the court cases aimed at the former President. No question, Trump has been unfairly targeted in the past. How has Hillary Clinton evaded justice for her secret server? Russian Collusion? Take down the entire Democratic National Committee under the RICO Act!  The phone call to Zelensky? How many ministers has the Ukrainian president already fired for corruption? Evidence builds that the Biden family should be seated at the same commission table as the Gambino and Genovese families.

If you tell me I need to look the other way on that because Hillary Clinton got a pass, I respectfully suggest that you’ve lost your way.

Andrew McCarthy in National Review

We refuse to give up on the rule of law, pie-eyed romantics that we are. (Who puts Top Secret documents next to the sh*tter? Did he run out of T.P.?)

Blaska’s Bottom Line: We are at a tipping point. The harder the so-called “Deep State” blows, the tighter his MAGAnoids gird their loins. No amount of evidence will dissuade their allegiance. A criminal conviction, we fear, will unleash the whirlwind. January 6 will look like an AARP bus tour. If Trump is convicted, we’ll need UN peacekeeping troops.

Just how does a MAGAnoid gird his loins? Or her loins, if I may be so bold?

“Just how does a MAGAnoid gird his loins? Or her loins”

Are said loins required to be recognized with how they were…um…equipped at birth, or should after-market add-ons/deletions be factored in?

More importantly, can MAGAnoids be non-binary, and if so, what is the penalty for mis-gendering them?

What do you suppose they’ll charge RFK Jr. with?

Or will they just shoot him?

There’s good reason Bobby Junior doesn’t want Sirhan Sirhan furloughed.

Neither. It’s only in rich R dreams that RFK has a chance to be the D nominee. He’s being bankrolled by rich Rs to mess with the Ds. He’s narcissistic enough to not even care.

The joke you’re writing also implies that the Trump indictment is a political move, which is clearly false and a literally dangerous narrative to promote.

tRump indicted!! Kari Lake is calling for war. Prosecutors’ families threatened. Politicians calling for people to raise up arms and fight. And then the unthinkable happens. Cracker Barrel came out with a gay pride rocking chair and the right-wing snowflakes are freaked out. Are you willing to give up your chicken and dumplings over this? Biscuits and gravy? Apple dumplings? Pinto beans, okra, GREENS AND HAM ? WICKLES? Are they off their rocker over a rocker??

It’s a fairly objective fact that Judicial Watch is an organization that chooses to focus it’s investigations on Democrats. In my opinion that qualifies as a partisan organization. Their own website says they are a “conservative, non-partisan educational foundation”. It takes a special brand of doublethink to truly believe one can be both conservative and non-partisan in the US.

I’d have to do research to see if Judical Watch is reaching into conspiracy theory territory (which itself is often a matter of opinion rather than fact). But given how deeply the entire R party is entrenched in factually verifiable conspiracy theories, it’s not too much a stretch to surmise that a long standing R partisan org would therefore embrace conspiracy theories as well.

Anywho, Judicial Watch is a veritable Lily in a Sea Of Weeds!

          It gets worse.

FUN FACT: From the bedrock Conservative HuffBlow: MSNBC Almost Entirely Dominated By Opinion: Pew Study

          News Content: FoxNews 45 % MSNBC 15 %
          Opinion Content: FoxNews 55 % MSNBC 85 %.

          Et tu, HuffBlow?

          And worse yet.

Does that mean that MSNBC has 55 % more Opinion Content and A_MERE_THIRD the News content of FoxNews?

Why yes…yes that DOES mean that MSNBC has 55 % more Opinion Content and A_MERE_THIRD the News content of FoxNews!

This is an interesting retort that is really common on the right these days. I say Judicial Watch is partisan, and rather than countering that statement, you say “but look at these other partisan outlets”. It’s like me putting my kid in trouble, then he says “but Bobby does it too!”

This is exactly what is happening with the indictment. It’s all “but Hillary, but Biden!”.

Rs were just in power, if Ds were doing crimes they should have charged them with crimes. I don’t personally care if Hillary or Biden get charged with crimes. They can prove their innocence in court like anyone else.

But one possible reason the Justice Dept didn’t charge them was because it’s better politically to be able to keep the insinuation going. If it goes to court, the facts will win out and the topic will close one way or another. That, or they knew there wasn’t solid evidence…

Judicial Watch is partisan, and you fairly note that doesn’t necessarily place it in conspiracy theory territory, which the predictably imbecilic Lazy @$$ Blogge Idiot TROLT ignorantly does.

Please note that while Lefty Inc forever chides FoxNews for being partisan, it conveniently ignores the lumber yard in their eye.

        Circling back to this topic:
It’s now being reported that Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, is the genius that told Trump to ignore his lawyers’ advice, keep the docs, and fight the Justice Dept.

Seems like this org has a dog in this fight and isn’t a particularly trustworthy source for information on it.

Why doesn’t Fitton just represent Trump in court if he has such great legal advice? What a coward keyboard warrior.

Still trying to grok just how The Squire and other proud never-trumpers figure on beating the commie prog antiAmerican Democrats in 2024 without the votes of the so-called RITO’s. Apart from coercion and insults, I mean. When does the addition instead of subtraction part begin?

    1. David Blaska Avatar

Trump may win nomination but will lose general election, just like last time and in 2022. I ask you, Meade, when do the RITOs want to elect a Republican?

      1. One Eye Avatar

And yet you’re wet dreaming over Pence who has ZERO (said in my best Steve Carrell Big Short voice) chance due to his stance on abortion. DeSantis has same problem albeit to a lesser extent. Trump will run from the left… what’s not to like? Also Trump is polling even with or ahead of Biden lately and it’s only going to get better.

        America is waking up.

That being said I’m skeptical that Joe will be the Democrat nominee.

I can’t speak for the so-called “RITO’s,” David. That’s your slur. Let’s start by agreeing to fix the problem rather than fixing blame. Both parties have been corrupted, don’t you agree? Call the so-called “Deep State” what you like — the Permanent Government, the Oligarchy, the Duopoly, the Military-Industrial Complex, the Establishment. Whatever you call it, it’s pretty much the opposite of what the Founders had in mind. Not what Washington had in mind, nor Lincoln. Not TR, nor Reagan. Let’s keep our collective eye on the ball — peace, prosperity, freedom, justice, one rule of law for all. Trump is a flawed human being, no question, but he represents a whole lot of us other flawed human beings — Americans neither rich and elite nor dependent on government welfare. Some have been Democrats, some Republicans. Most work hard and long and have no time for party politics or political partying and manufactured discord anymore. There is no time left for all the shenanigans of weaponized government, politicized DOJ, FBI, CIA… W didn’t cut it. McCain was never going to cut it. Romney, Pence. And now DeSantis. I’ll vote for Bobby Jr. or better yet Ramaswamy before I throw away another vote on a career politician like Joe Biden, R or D, beholden to the donor class, the elitists, the Swamp.

Every time Trump gives the Republicans an opportunity to finally disavow him and let him be hoisted on his petard (whatever that is), they instead double down on their support for the grifter. “Have they no shame?” It is clear they do not believe in the mission of the Republic: democracy. Only power. Beyond disgusting.
