Because the heathens are raging!
Even Blaska gets tired of whining. Because it just occurred to the head groundskeeper that we may be winning. The tide, King Canute, is turning.
Free speech advocate Elon Musk buying up Twitter was the tipping point here at the Werkes. Not since Trump beat the Hildabeast have self-important heathens raged so impotently.
“Twitter under Elon Musk will be a scary place,” the New York Times frets.
“Twitter’s top lawyer reassures staff, cries during meeting about Musk takeover.”
Disney is learning that placating the Woke doesn’t work. Neither does lying about Florida’s ban on transgender indoctrination of 8-year-olds.
Joe Biden, elected as a moderate but governing like the Squad, is down 13½ points in the Real Clear Politics average of polls, where Republicans lead Democrats by 3.8 in the generic congressional ballot. According to center-left columnist William Galston:
- 60% of Americans support state laws restricting gender education in public schools.
- Over three-quarters of voters nationwide support more money for cops.
- Three of every five want to finish the Keystone pipeline.
- 80% think that Title 42 Covid border restrictions should be extended, not scrapped.
- Two thirds believe that the Biden administration’s immigration policies encourage illegal immigration.
Is America really a “white supremacist” society? What does “structural racism” mean, and does it explain all the socioeconomic problems of non-whites? Is anyone who raises questions about immigration levels a racist? Is constant specification of personal pronouns necessary and something the Left should seek to popularize? Are trans women the same as biological women? Are those who ask the question simply haters? … Democrats have paid a considerable price for their militant identity politics. — Ruy Teixiera, co-editor of The Liberal Patriot.
A wave election is coming this November!
- Sen. Ron Johnson is being proven right about Hunter Biden’s laptop and the Biden family’s pay to play.
- Federal prosecutor John Durham has Hillary Clinton in his sights. (Andrew McCarthy explains.)
- BLM is being exposed as a bunch of grifters.
- A professor in southern Ohio won a $400,000 settlement after his school disciplined him for refusing to use a transgender student’s pronouns.
Blaska is succeeding in overturning Madison’s race quotas for government panels.
- The WI Supreme Court ruled that Republicans legislative district maps are fairer than the governor’s after the U.S. Supremes refused to back Tony Evers’ map.
- A supporter of school resource police officers, Laura Simkin, defeats a Woke opponent who checked all the boxes for election to the Madison school board.
- Even Dane County’s judiciary is finally getting tough(er) on crime. Bail on frequent flier Katoine Richardson was set at $30,000! (More here.)
- The Madison Common Council voted (11 to 9) to try police body cameras.
- The Dane County Board voted (barely) repudiated the Derail the Jail crazies to build a better (albeit smaller) jail.
The former editor of The Nation, of all sources, is forced to admit that “cancel culture exists.”
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Even a former Madison mayor, Dave Cieslewicz, is sounding like a Republican. O.K., an Eisenhower Republican, but still …!

STAY_THE_COURSE…don’t let despicable Lefty’s unforced errors take Righty’s eyes off’n the prize.
Welp…maybe just this once:
The Gotch is enjoying immensely the highfreakin’larious, slobbering lamentations of Lefty Screech Weasels’ reaction to being force-fed their own vomit!
That make him a bad person…?

I think that the Democrats are missing the boat on so many issues by siding with the far left. Identity politics isn’t working and that includes me, who typically votes for Democrats. So far, I don’t see a Republican that I would vote for for Governor , but I’m not impressed with Evers either.

“Must be arkancide”
More like six (6) plus decades of positively crippling imbecility coupled with a laughable inability to craft any communication which isn’t completely devoid of meaning, coherence, relevance, proper syntax, and anything remotely resembling rudimentary English.
Wait a minute.
You were referring to Broeksmit’s death?

“Forensic News investigative journalist Scott Stedman claimed that he last spoke to Broeksmit in January.
He explained that Broeksmit had given him “Deutsche Bank documents that highlighted the bank’s deep Russia connections.”
“It is very sad,” he added. “I don’t suspect foul play. Val struggled with drugs on and off.’

Of course he doesn’t suspect foul play. Being a lying trumpette that’s what he being paid to do.

Toddler’s death investigated as homicide, Madison man in custody
Progress is good, but so much more to do. That precious child was the grandchild of a former co-worker of mine. Social services dropped the ball, the judicial system likewise; but this is just one story out of many where woke social “reforms” have resulted in tragic events.

Absolutely correct. As I tried to digest all the trouble a 23 year-old had gotten himself into, I could only mourn the young and tender sacrifice to low bail, probation, and poor education. So very sad, such a small sweet baby to suffer so much in such a horrible short life. We seem to be building monsters now on a regular basis.

The Squire once again succeeds in giving this fellow (me) some homework to do. Five meaningful articles/topix to explore before commenting cogently.
Does the Squire ever sleep ? Finding the many popular sites, as well the obscure ones, to glean info & knowledge from is a tough task.

Oh, but hold on here. Just when you thought it might be safe to go back in the water, along comes another shark in the form of the Biden Administration wanting to take away your right to free speech.
This from the Gateway Pundit. “Biden Regime Announces Creation of “Disinformation Governance Board” Under the Authority of Homeland Security with a Lunatic in Charge”
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/04/biden-regime-announces-creation-disinformation-governance-board-authority-homeland-security-lunatic-charge/
And yes, this is a real board. Google it and you will see it is real.
The new director of this “Disinformation Governance Board” is Nina Jankowicz. She, according to the article apparently thinks “that the laptop from hell was Russian misinformation, and openly admitted to being just as concerned about “domestic misinformation” as she is about “foreign misinformation.”
“Domestic misinformation”! What is their definition of domestic misinformation? What tools will be given to them to spot domestic misinformation? What penalties will be handed out when someone says something that meets their definition of domestic misinformation? Will those people be banned like on Twitter and Facebook or will they suffer harsher penalties?
What will happen to conservative web sites, conservative talk show hosts, conservative authors, people who are conservative, who express their opinions on platforms like this one?
Sounds to me like a great job for former Twitter censors.
Two quotes on free speech from Voltaire:
“If you want to find out who rules over you, look at who you are not allowed to criticize.”
“I might disagree with your opinion, but I am willing to give my life for your right to express it.”
