Madison school board president Gloria Reyes has applied to be Madison’s next chief of police. Vicki McKenna reported that news today 09-15-2020 on her WIBA 1310 AM program.

Reyes was one of 40 applicants. The deadline was today. She is a former police officer and, under past mayor Paul Soglin, was deputy mayor for law enforcement. Once an advocate for police in the city’s four troubled high schools, Reyes caved after BLM invaded her residential street this summer and voted to expel police. (Related here.)

Well, she and the other 39 need their heads examined. I’m stocking up on popcorn and jujubes in anticipation. It’s gonna be quite a show.
Not impressed. Whoever they get will be a politician, someone who easily caves to the mob. The cops deserve better, as do we.
We need more leaders and fewer cowards.
I think it a bit too much to expect a female to grow, or even borrow a pair. Seems they are required. Look at what has happened to all the other recent female police chief’s who were fired.
No matter, I imagine some folks will proclaim she could acquire or produce the special juice that’s required to stand up to the Mexican cartels, their drug agents, Bolsheviks, or Antifa.
Load the body cam’s with film and fresh batteries. The modern iteration of Caddy Shack will appear in Madison’s PD. But what do I know. I’m only an unemployed Meter Maid.
Sentient7: Define “pair”. Would that be as in, “Balls cried the Queen, if I had two I’d be King” ?
Koval was the the last of the real chiefs. The next will be a puppet with the mayor and/or the soon to be formed committee as the puppeteer.
This is such an obvious set-up it’s hilarious. The fix is in.
A. Get school board prez to flip on cops in schools by intimidation.
B. Continue the anti-cop narrative.
C. Intimidate said school board prez to run for chief.
D. Intimidate PSC to hire the aforementioned school board prez.
E. The aforementioned school board prez is selected.
F. BLM, U.T., F. Inc., mission accomplished.
And Rome continues to burn.
