Wisconsin is the Wild West! Yippee yi-yo ki-yay!

This Blogge builds antibodies that fight progressivism

Memo to Robin Vos, Scott Fitzgerald, and Tony Evers: Take your own sweet time in coming up with a statewide plan. The counties will figure it out for themselves or, more exactly, the people in those counties.

Yes, we listen to the scientists. And we flattened the curve.

No, we do not treat the “experts” as if they were the only voice.  We live in a democracy. The people decide and they are deciding — one backyard patio party at a time.

If we listened to the experts, we’d still have Prohibition. After all, we’d all be better off without John Barleycorn. Life is a risk. Or a cabaret. We forget.

“Science, Not Politics” is soft Marxism.

THE PHANTOM CITY, Ken Maynard, 1928

We’re gonna ride!

Weather this fine day in May (05-15-2020) is sunny and temps in the low 70s F. The chief groundskeeper at Blaska Policy Werkes is firing up the Harley Softail Slim for a trip to the Wild West of freedom in Lafayette, Iowa, or Sauk Counties. Might wet his whistle at a neighborly saloon. A little self-medicating. Will keep a barstool’s distance.

Gov. Tony Evers says Wisconsin is the “wild west” because the WI Supreme Court overturned his statewide Safer In Place quarantine. As if metro Madison and Forest County were twin cities. As a practical matter, the county-by-county call makes much more sense.

We read that the New York Stock Exchange is opening up its trading floor in a few days — an enclosed, sweaty place with shouting people. Surely, unhealthy in the best of times.

Tony Evers — lockdown hero to the progressive Left

The Resistance news media is hyping the “We’re all gonna die” narrative in service of its longterm mission to bring Trump down. Hence the surge in social scolding.

Paul Krugman assures his New York Times cult that “Covid-19 reality has a liberal bias.” Another sufferer of advanced-stage Trumphobia, Michelle Goldberg, echoes “whistle-blower Rick Bright that “The darkest winter in modern history may soon be upon us, while Trumpists are obsessed with a new conspiracy theory.”

The WI Supreme Court’s decision Wednesday, CNN alleges

… further politicized the pandemic response in one of the nation’s most important battlegrounds in the 2020 presidential election. The battle over Evers’ stay-at-home order is also the latest episode in a years-long series of partisan brawls over power in Wisconsin, perhaps the nation’s most politically polarized state and one where most contentious issues wind up in court.

So, it is instructive that CNN’s own opinion poll shows Trump leading Uncle Joe Biden “in the critical battleground states that could decide the electoral college, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

Nationwide, Biden leads Trump 51% to 46% among registered voters. But, as we learned four years ago, the nation does not elect its presidents; states do. In 15 battleground states which decided its electors by 8 percentage points or fewer (including Wisconsin), 52% of voters favor Trump to 45% for Biden.

The Marquette Law School poll has Biden 46%, Trump 43%.

Calm down my friends

Some of my conservative friends (for you are my friends) need to get a grip. Because Linday Graham says he will not put Barack Obama on the witness stand does NOT mean the Republican senator is a “traitor.” And thank you National Review for reminding the heavy breathers that “Fauci Is Not the Villain.”

He’s an epidemiologist providing expert opinions. It’s absurd to say he’s manipulating the President.

Try to remember that Donald Trump cannot be manipulated. Right?

Blaska’s Two Bottom Lines:

  1. Always seek expert advice. Always make your own decisions.
  2. Vroom! Vroom! Potato-potato-potato. VROOM! VROOM!

What do YOU think?

    Enjoy your trip.

Question: how is Tony getting his hair cut? Is that not ILLEGAL and IMMORAL, not to mention MURDEROUS and CALLOUS???

I know that it is difficult for “reporters” to notice his hair while they are servicing him, but surely there is more than one “reporter” in the room? Or on the video-feed?

Inquiring minds, and all that rot, folks.

A local Wisconsin virologist of some note (name and more specific identifiers withheld to protect the innocent) told me in person last night that there is absolutely no valid reason a barber shop or similar business shouldn’t be able to open NOW so long as the personnel wear a mask. Just FYI.

Yes, Dave, too many citizens are rudderless muddled thinkers because they have conclusively confused “science” with “religion”.

More good news: COVID-related Dane County hospital admissions and ICU patients have decreased markedly in May, according to the local health department. In fact, only 4 COVID patients are in ICU at last count, according to their website.

      America’s Dairyland FUN FACTS:

*No one under the age of FORTY has died due to what Moron Savant/Elder Murderer/Lefty Hero Governor Andrew Cuomo bizarrely calls the European Virus.

*Nearly 1/3 of all deaths have been 90 or older.

      • Kevin S Wymore says:

Yes, and according to the WI Department of Health Services website on COVID deaths by age, there are only 11 deaths statewide under age 50.

7 in 10 COVID deaths in Wisconsin have been concentrated in those aged 70 or over. NOTE: Keep in mind deaths elsewhere have been especially common among those with underlying health conditions, as well.
