Death to ________! (Fill in blank)

Is the Tehran street ever fickle!

Is ‘Death to Whom it May Concern’
the Iranian version of ‘U.S. Out of North America’?

President Trump’s bold action may get the regime change in Iran that America has wanted these past 40 years. Contrast that with Obama-Biden’s over-eager desire to make a deal, any deal, no matter how craven.

After bald-faced denials, the Iranian government is admitting it is the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. They shoot ballistic missiles into two military compounds but manage to kill no one. But they did bring down a civilian passenger jetliner, killing all 176 aboard.

S didn't kill selfThe New York Times is reporting this morning (01-11-2020):

Iranians vented fury toward their government after Tehran’s admission, with thousands pouring into main squares around the city on Saturday afternoon. Gatherings organized on social media to mourn the victims of the crash swiftly turned into angry protests against the government’s actions.

“Death to liars!” and “Death to the dictator!” people chanted, according to videos posted on social media. “You have no shame,” shouted several young men, as the crowd joined in a chorus, another video showed. People carried candles and placed flowers at the gates of the universities and public squares.

The country’s elite security force and its top leader were not spared. At universities, crowds called the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps “incompetent” and “the people’s shame.” And some even called on the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to resign.

The Babylon Bee is reporting that Trump’s approval rating
among terrorists have hit an all-time low!

Gross incompetence cannot be forgiven

One might wonder why Khomeini Airport, named after the 1979 hostage-taking imam, didn’t suspend passenger flights. This is the regime that so spooked Democrats? On her MSNBC show today (01-11-2020), after praising Iran for having “stepped up” and admitting it shot down the airliner, Joy Reid then explicitly adopted Iran’s Trump-blaming position on the matter.

Trump’s decision to kill a senior Iranian military leader is the reason Iran was on a war footing near its civilian airport. And while Iran’s   and rightly accepted that country’s fault for the horrible tragedy, Iranian officials also noted the accident was the result of a human error caused by US adventurism

Parse the woman’s language. Not “claimed” the accident was caused by U.S. adventurism, but “noted” — the word signifies the acknowledgement of an accepted fact. SHEESH!

Presidential candidate Mayor Pete (whose last name, the spelling of which I’m too lazy to look up) tweeted:

Innocent civilians are now dead because they were caught in the middle of an unnecessary and unwanted military tit for tat. My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of all 176 souls lost aboard this flight.

And this is the guy who trades on the fact that he wore the uniform!

Joe Lieberman gets the last word: The Democrat(ic) nominee for vice president in 2004 and a long-time U.S. Senator asks“Why can’t the party’s candidates simply admit Qasem Soleimani’s death makes Americans safer?” That was published six days ago (01-05-2020)!

Who do YOU blame?

Has Trump done the impossible? He may have exposed Iran as a paper tiger!! Whatever happened to WW III?!!! All the experts predicted it. What a strange letdown.

This longtime Dem agrees with Trump on Iran and will quietly vote for him. AND encourages other Dems to do it too.

I blame Pelosi. Using ABob’s world view, logic and strategic genius we see, quite plainly that President Trump needed to turn to “military adventurism” to “wag the dog” and thereby distract his “cult members” from impeachment. So if Nancy hadn’t impeached him the Ukrainian airliner would be OK now.

Also remember these were Putin supplied anti aircraft missiles commanded until recently by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards who should go back to chanting slogans and mourning Soleimani. They’ve had a tough week.

I’m old enough to remember “Hanoi Jane” and anti-war protesters at UW-Madison waving North Vietnamese flags and banners that said “March for Uncle Ho.” Anyone who “stood up to” U.S. imperialism, capitalism, racism, yadda yadda, yadda was their hero. Exactly the same mindset we see at work today in Democrat politicians and media apologists for Iran. “History repeats itself, first as tragedy then as farce.”

And what did we do in Viet Nam? Why were we there? The most expensive military in the world ran with their tail between their legs. How is it the most deficit inducing military in the world hasn’t won a war since WWI?

      • Cornelius Gotchberg says:

        ”Why were we there?”

As per usual, the democrat Party of WAR, DEATH, HATRED, AND RACISM would be your answer.

        To wit:

“The United States entered that war incrementally, in a series of steps between 1950 and 1965. In MAY 1950, PRESIDENT HARRY S. TRUMAN AUTHORIZED A MODEST PROGRAM OF ECONOMIC AND MILITARY AID TO THE FRENCH, who were fighting to retain control of their Indochina colony, including Laos and Cambodia as well as Vietnam.” (bolds/caps mine)

Lest we forget; back in the day the Madison CommonSenseLess Council came up just a vote or two short of renaming Bassett St. Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Lefties (most, not all): Fun to watch…in a cringe-inducing sort of way.

So we were war criminals in that war just like Bush Jr. criminal invasion of Iraq, and Trump’s criminal assassination of a military leader. I’m sure every General in the Pentagon has contingencies planed for the invasion of almost every nation on earth, does that mean almost every nation on earth has the right to assassinate a US General because he has planned attacks? Notice our current executive branch seems to be changing the story on a daily basis, the sure sign of a lie, hell they even had to change the definition of a terrorist to justify the murder of Soleimani. The Iranian citizens have been demonstrating against their government for quite some time now. Just how many times do we get change the elected government of a country? Every time we get a new president with favors owed?

The only reason Iraq’s oil profits haven’t paid for our criminal war is because the purpose of the war was to privatize Iraqi oil profits. Of course everything’s a moot point now that under Trump, our tax-payer funded military is nothing but a mercenary force available for purchase.

I remember when Ronald Reagan bombed Khadafi and the Left called him a war monger, imperialist, cowboy but when Hillary and Obama attacked Khadafi the Left said it was “Smart Power”.

      • Cornelius Gotchberg says:

The Gotch remembers when SanFranNan said “(Hopey Changey did not require) any authorization from Congress (to attack Libya.)”

Sheesh; these Lefty pols must REALLY be convinced that their slobbering base are a collective of easily herded, monumental imbeciles!

        The Gotch

        • Gary L. Kriewald says:

Take a look at the Dems’ “slobbering base” right here in Madison–a “collective of easily herded, monumental imbeciles” if there ever was one. The only thing they’re good at is prancing up State Street to the Capitol Square every time the real world impinges on their little liberal utopia.

  5. madisonexpat says:

Fatwa, fatwa, who’s got the fatwa?

  6. Sprocket says:

I think it’s a bit of stretch to say Soleimani’s sixty ninth trimester abortion made “America” safer. It certainly made our troops in the middle east safer and was an entirely appropriate way to deal with someone running an IED program and militias that targeted our troops. However, I don’t believe the Quds Force engaged in operations outside the region, so America itself was at risk by their activities. The left looks ridiculous because they make ridiculous claims (OMG Trumphilter wants to start WWIII reeeeeeee!), let’s not emulate that.

While I was enjoying the spectacle of the media and leftists pushing and shoving to be first in line to fellate the mullahs, a thought occurred to me. If Trump is responsible for the the Iranians shooting down an airliner, does that make Obama responsible for the slave markets in Lybia? And, when will CNN weigh in on that?

  7. madisonexpat says:

GEO @ 12:31 just mad that they wouldn’t accept him in ISIS and he’s mad at President Trump for it.

  8. George's son says:

GEO @ 12:31 Still doesn’t have a clue -nor does he do research for facts. I envy that kind of naivete. Never mind the Iran embassy attack that preceded, ignore the recent calls for the Ayatollah to step down or the large protests by Iranians against their corrup government…. Here’s solid words of US support by Iranians themselves:

    • Gary L. Kriewald says:

The Left are horrified at the prospect, however remote, of the murderous regime in Iran being overthrown on Trump’s watch. They’d rather see millions of Iranians continue to suffer under a gaggle of fanatical mullahs than see Trump get credit for helping to liberate them. It’s why the media is eager and willing to repeat Iranian propaganda.

  9. geo_ says:

    And the lie changes again……

  10. madisonexpat says:

Geo at 12:31 I refuted every valid point you made… with contempt.
Your TDS and projection show a reflexive and remarkable amount of self delusion. You now side with a murdering, fascist theocracy solely because your fear and hatred of President Trump who they also fear and hate.
You are predictable and easily, effortlessly triggered.
I must admit to my schadenfreude that the dumbassery of TDS sufferers makes me happy to log on every morning. My three and a half years of mirth is juxtaposed with the eight years of fear, anger and misery you deserve.

    • geo_ says:

I don’t support Soleimani or his methods, I also don’t support those who use these same methods solely for the benefit of themselves like Trump did. It’s just another form of terrorism when someone grabs women by their pussies as Trump has admitted doing. I don’t fear the president, he’s a joke, I do hate liars, serial sexual assaulters and greedy assholes.

  11. George's Son says:

Geo @ 1-14-2020 7:58 AM. So ya think Iran’s pressure to attack the Iraq embassy had nuthin’ to do w/ the US swift response? This is the US of A, son. We don’t just sit back and wait for more aggression. We deal w/ it in the NOW. At least w/ this administration… Your off-topic sexual conflations are abhorrent, BTW.

  12. madisonexpat says:

It was more than a conflation. It was and is a lie.
