11:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday April 1 at Doubleday’s, 4586 Baxter Road, Cottage Grove.
Verdict first, case later
Judge Protasiewicz has publicly declared that she believes that former Gov. Scott Walker’s landmark 2011 collective-bargaining reform, known as Act 10, is unconstitutional. She admits she joined protests against the law and even signed a petition to recall then Gov. Walker.
In an interview last week with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Judge Protasiewicz was asked whether she would remove herself from cases challenging the law. “I’d have to think about it,” she said. “Given the fact that I marched, given the fact that I signed the recall petition, would I recuse myself? Maybe. Maybe. But I don’t know for sure.”
Maybe? How can anyone believe she’d be able to fairly judge a challenge to a law she has already reached a conclusion about?
The Democrat(ic) party is into Protasiewicz for $8 million plus $800,000 of in-kind donations. And Democrats have filtered $1 million from George Soros. The Republican party put only $450,000 in-kind to Daniel Kelly.

Arguably the 3 most successful Republican governors, both in governing and electoral politics, are DeSantis of Florida, Youngkin of Virginia, and Kemp of Georgia.
In the last year, Donald Trump has probably spent more time attacking them than he has attacking Joe Biden.

Are Democrats getting smart about crime?
Have they learned from Lori Lightfoot? How else to explain Joe Biden turning his back on the progressive movement to decriminalize crime? The President is siding with Republicans who want to nullify the City of Washington’s attempt to dumb down … Continue reading
Who will be the last Republican Baghdad Bob?
To excuse Florida Man’s toxicity? Fondly do we remember Baghdad Bob. He was the PR flack for Saddam Hussein who insisted that Iraq was turning back George W. Bush’s coalition forces even as his boss was burying himself in that … Continue reading
Republicans got to work Dane County in the local races
Can’t just flip on the switch for president and governor! The bloodied corpse of the 2022 mid-term election is laying on the stainless steel slab and Wisconsin Republicans, like those nationwide, are conducting an autopsy — when they aren’t engaged … Continue reading
We’re going to blame some of the people in this room
Like Vito Corleone at the Commission! Got to say it: Becky Kleefisch would have beaten Tony Evers. But she got snowed under in the Republican primary by Tim Michels’ millions and by Trump’s endorsement of Michels. As late as this … Continue reading
Which side will riot after Tuesday’s elections?
Got plywood? After the Orkin man debugged Ol’ Sparky, our Eisenhower-era mainframe computer, the gray lab coats at Blaska Policy Werkes asked the rusty relic who will prevail in Tuesday’s mid-term elections. Sparky made the following prognostications — posted here … Continue reading
God Bless America!
Democrats could use a little Kate Smith(although she wasn’t that little)and a lot less Al Sharpton! “I believe in America,” are the first words spoken in The Godfather, by the immigrant undertaker Bonasera to Vito Corleone. • “Morning in America” … Continue reading
