We hear you!

We’re good

It’s 2016 all over again!

We’re not disappointed Donald Trump won — and very impressed that he did so with so many Republican defectors. RINOs like us. We voted Libertarian.

Wisconsin put him over. How DO we do it?

We’re pleased as spiked punch that Kamala Harris lost. Once again, The Donald benefited from a weak opponent. Democrats sowed Tuesday’s defeat four years ago when they nominated (and elected) a deeply diminished and weak man. Donald Trump will make the better President; for moral leadership, we have to look elsewhere.

A damned shame Eric Hovde couldn’t pull this out. Wisconsin has not enjoyed two Republican senators since 1957. The senators elected today and

those elected two years ago need not kowtow to Trump’s worse impulses. Someone else will be at the top of the ticket when they run next.

Kamala Harris was the latest victim of Woke elitism. The Democrat(ic) party needs listen to Dave Cieslewicz and Ruy Teixeira. Because the party has lost the middle of America, not just geographically but on the assembly line, in the repair shop, and at the dinner table, too.

Maybe commentators shouldn’t jump all over a stupid joke out of the mouth of a warm-up comedian at a rally that the candidate himself disavowed. Counties with large Hispanic populations is where he made “tremendous gains,” Steve Kornacki admitted on MSNBC. They came here legally, they want every one else to do so.

→ Trump gains in nearly every demography

 Women do not vote monolithic

Abortion, the Dobbs decision overturning Roe, was — like Aaron Judge in the World Series — a big fizzle. The Green New Deal? What a raw deal! DEI helped Democrats DIE. Those frivolous New York prosecutions made Trump a martyr. Then he got shot for real. We still think that had Trump relinquished his presidency (shall we say) peacefully and patriotically, he would have won by even more. But what do we know?

We do have questions. Will CNN have a come to Jesus with Anderson Cooper and Erin Burnett? Could they play the news a little straight? Are souls being searched at the New York Times? Will the party get its snoots out of Hollywood? Keep men out of the women’s locker room? Will the party nominate a Joe Manchin next time? Tell AOC to shut up? Keep Mark Pocan away from the microphone? Quit trying earn NPR tote bags?

Madison is still 44 square miles

Will Madison WI erect its own wall against the rest of Wisconsin? We should have expected that its voters would reward our poor performing public schools with $607 more millions. Letting our city government blow past state revenue limits by $22 million. Waunakee, Verona, and Middleton thank you.

Kudos to Dane County GOP leaders Brandon Maly and Chrissy Illgen; they set a goal of upping Dane County’s Republican vote to 24% and they delivered. Kamala under-performed Joe Biden. Trump led Kamala Harris by 41,000 votes, above his 23,000 vote margin eight years ago. Congratulations to Brian Schimming, state chairman, as well. Does he go to Washington?

We’re relieved that Donald Trump won not only the electoral college but the nation’s popular vote as well. Hellz bellz, he made New Jersey close! Lost Illinois by only 4 points. The RINO in me says it means no repeat of January 6. No dark conspiracy theories; proof that our elections work.

We had to check in with Rachel Maddow. The schadenfreude thing, doncha know. No, she did not spray salt but leave it to MSNBC to blame Kamala’s defeat on race and gender. They’re right about that but for the wrong reason. Kamala Harris was chosen Veep precisely because she was black and female. When Joe Biden face planted in national TV, the party that cries racism in a crowded election could not very well bypass their black and female vice president.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: We make no apologies. We hope (and believe) Donald Trump and JD Vance will succeed. If they do, America succeeds. Went to bed at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday 11-06-2024. Will sleep soundly.

Are our elections honest after all?
