The adults must enter the room

Dane County is the sick man of the Wisconsin GOP!

This little game the chairman of the Dane County Republicans is playing (do you think it could fool a Corleone?) will be put to end — one way or another — on or before July 25, we are told. Brandon Maly announced 12 weeks ago that he was resigning to continue his career as a Turning Point USA operative in the Northeast U.S. Yet he continues to chair county Republican meetings, albeit via Zoom from an unknown location. He’s like Waldo; nobody is certain of his whereabouts.

The back biting and score settling in the party, mainly from a group that styles itself “Patriots,” has abated somewhat — mainly due to attrition. One exec board member, since departed, wanted the county GOP to return donations if the giver had also contributed to Robin Vos. The Assembly Speaker is persona non grata for not unilaterally overturning the 2020 presidential election. Now these hoax addicts say James Comey booby-trapped the Epstein files with fake information to hurt Trump and MAGA; that’s why the President won’t release it. Sadly, Miss Vicki hurts our cause by peddling that paranoia. (Rule of thumb: The more complex the conspiracy, the more horse flies it attracts.) A party of nut cases may win some races, but not in Wisconsin.

Fatigued by the in-fighting, Maly’s vice chair quit. So did the volunteer coordinator. True, the Maly regime raised nearly a million dollars the last two years — leagues above previous totals. But what did all that money buy? And the local party failed to build a bench in local government — only one conservative on the 37-member county board.

 Our own worst enemy

Republicans cannot win statewide with the meager Republican turnout in the state’s second-most populous county — 18% for both Dan Kelly and Brad Schimel in the last two state supreme court races. (Read & Weep!) Hellz bellz, Blaska got 30.1% of Madison’s citywide vote running as a pro-cop, pro-charter conservative for school board a few years ago. The statewide Republican candidate taking 30% of Dane County’s vote gets sworn in to office.

Memo to the Dane County Republican Party board member who always offers his hand in friendship: We hear what you are saying about us behind our backs. Very unwise.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: The Ottoman Empire at the turn of the last Century was called “the sick man of Europe.” The Dane County party is the sick man of the state Republican party. We hereby call in friendly fire on our own position. The state party revoked a charter after Patriots screwed up Barron County. It should put Dane County in the equivalent of receivership and appoint a full-time, paid monitor. Allow the exec board to expel troublemakers just like the House tossed George Santos. And build the bench.

General MacArthur gave Japan a constitution and taught them baseball,
didn’t he?

The infighting in the Dane County Republican Party MUST cease!

Get off your pompous horses and start actually working together!

There are loads of disgruntled Democrats openly saying that the Democratic Party left them in their dust as they accelerated to the edges of the socialist and communists cliff that’s way, way out in left field, they’re currently perched on the edge of the abyss of totalitarianism. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire and these disgruntled Democrats are the smoke revealing the fire of revolt within the Democratic Party. From what I can tell from my perch in south central Wisconsin is that most of the Republican Party (not all) are moderate conservative Liberals (“Liberal” generally refers to a political philosophy that emphasizes individual rights and freedoms, limited government, and free markets.) that are voting AGAINST the left’s move towards the absurd extremes that is undermining the foundations of the United States. The focus of the modern Republican should be to absorb these disgruntled Democrats while maintaining their core moderate conservative & Liberal foundations.

Remember, we don’t have to agree on everything but we do need to agree that the very extreme path that the Democratic Party has taken is what we are actively rejecting. This is what life long Democrats like Alan Dershowitz are doing, the Democratic Party left him.

yep, We love extreme positions. Like healthcare, help with food and utilities for the poor and sick. Not arresting citizens and vets because they are brown. Locking them up with no due process. Chasing people around school parking lots with guns and masks then locking them in cages. Mall cops running detention centers. That’s the America I want. You want to stop the infighting? Then you must realize that all this Dementia Don BS is hurting republicans as well as democrats’. We are not paying people to go to red state townhalls and bitch at your politicians. You believe that because some right-wing unbag told you that garbage and you are to lazy to figure out it’s a load of crap. Even your hero Donny insults you daily and you all take it and smile. His last message to you all; “stupid and weak. “Sent from his golf course. Bend over boys, daddy loves you all.

        The Trump White House:

“…is a tale told by an idiot,
        Full of sound and fury
        And signifying nothing.”

        William Shakespeare
        from “Macbeth”

        Good post, Richard.

“Good post Richard”– yikes. Both of you are out to lunch.
Meanwhile, Trump continues to rack up the victories and Dems continue to circle the drain. It’s gonna be a great 4 years.

Democrats sure do love extreme positions:

        1. Forcing taxpayers who chose not to take on student loan debt to pay for those that did.
        2. Life-altering, irreversible surgery for minors without parental consent.
        3. The same for incarcerated inmates, paid for by tax dollars.
        4. Taking guns from responsible owners who give a damn about protecting their families and property.
        5. Sending aid to medieval barbarians after they massacre 1200+ citizens of one of our allies.
        6. Letting illegal aliens flood border cities by the thousands and then making calls to defund ICE.
        7. Putting a bigoted socialist in a real spot to win mayorship of our largest city.
        8. Declaring that natural gas is racist.

        I could go on.

thank God trump stole back the money budgeted for PBS. No more suffering through band concerts. Overture trash, nonsense on the square, guys painting clouds. back to the basics. Liddy, Rush, Vickie, Steve B. Tucker, Pillow guy. No more roadshows, parades and crazy quilts. All trump, all the time or your citizenship will be revoked, and you will be sent to a country that no one in Donny’s cabinet can pronounce or find on a map.

Where were all these “adults” when Dementia Don released that AI dribble claiming the GOLDEN AGE!!!! OF TRUMP!!!! Complete with fireworks, American Eagles crapping out $100 bills, fireworks and more stolen music. Your hardest working, budget minded President must have missed a golf date to get that on the news. What’s next? a ringing endorsement from that jailed, corrupt ex-president of Brazil that dump has a bromance with?

Colbert canceled, PBS/NPR de-funded, Obama implicated in “Russiagate”. You’d think we’d get tired of winning… NOT!

I had a wonderful pour of rare rye whiskey in honor of Colbert getting dumped. Although I’m certain he’ll find another venue to spew his smug, arrogant bile.
