How about blurring out Jake Tapper’s face?
Excellent! as Montgomery Burns would say, steepling his fingers. The White House lawn was postered (verb, transitive) with 100 of the “worst illegal immigrants” arrested in Trump’s first 100 days. (Read & Cheer) What does CNN do? They blur out the faces of these worst arrested illegal immigrants. WHY? Was Jake Tapper one of them? Joe Friday changed names but that was to protect the innocent. Fox News did close-ups.
If we’re going to blur out the images of criminals, why must we be subjected to the androgynous visage of Judge Hannah Dugan? CNN’s Tapper treated as a hostile witness Lara Trump who spoken openly of Joe Biden’s visible senescence. Now ol’ Jake has a book out denouncing the news media for ignoring the story. Their more grievous sin? They elected Donald Trump.
Voters beat Democrats like a rented mule over their open borders in the November elections but the party of A.O.C. cannot relax its grip on victimhood, however misplaced the source. Law prof Jonathan Turley writes:
Democrats are heralding [the Milwaukee judge] as a type of Harriet Tubman guiding illegal immigrants to safety. Democratic State Rep. Ryan Clancy even declared to a cheering crowd: “What Judge Dugan apparently did was what all of us should be doing.” That is precisely why federal authorities felt criminal charges were warranted despite Dugan’s judicial title.
Mid-morning Monday 04-28-25 saw an SUV labeled “Homeland Security” southbound on John Nolen Drive. No, it wasn’t a Tesla.

Tossing and turning
A WI State Journal letter writer “lay(s) awake at 3 a.m. wondering and worrying how we have come to the point that the ‘Make American Great Again’ folks … dare to arrest a Milwaukee County judge.” Maybe because the judge is more crooked than a pig’s tail? (Just a guess.) As for the perp, he’s been adjudicated up the wazoo.
Flores-Ruiz was previously deported and then entered again illegally, a federal felony. He was issued an I-860 Notice and Order of Expedited Removal on January 16, 2013, and Flores-Ruiz was “removed to Mexico through the Nogales, Arizona, port of entry.” Not only is re-entry a felony but when there is an order of expedited removal, you can be deported without any further court hearing. — Jonathan Turley, professor of law at George Washington University.
Our progressive … acquaintances (for they ARE …) now protest the manner of Judge Dugan’s arrest. They didn’t have to cuff the judge on the way out the courthouse, they whine. Could have slipped the criminal complaint under the door of her chambers, perhaps. Along with a Junior Mint. But No-oooo! They had to make an example of her!
Blaska’s Bottom Line: As well they should. Trump & Co. not only exposed the ubiquitous nature of illegal immigration but also the political bias rampant in the nation’s courtrooms. Then again, Wisconsin supreme court voters know all about political bias. They voted for it.
If you can’t enforce the law in a courthouse,
where can you?

Are they looking for volunteers to pull the switch or the lever for the gallows?
David, you wrote: “A WI State Journal letter writer “lay(s) away at 3 a.m. wondering and worrying how we have come to the point that the ‘Make American Great Again’ folks….” There is a typo–“away” should be “awoke”….
Would the protesters in the crowd feel differently if one of their children was one of the arrested person’s victims?
If anything they’d feel privileged that it was their child who’d helped pay down the debt the rest of us owe to ‘marginalized’ groups.
A lot of chest thumping and assumptions I’m going to wait till it all plays out looks like a real absence of Republicans running to the cameras. That’s a sign of something stinks or maybe they learned that the gov’t will screw up the case. Did Hegseth warn of their plans on X?
Hah! Far be it from Liesack to jump to a conclusion. He’s too judicious.
Making false claims about the judge and photo-shopping tats on her face? That will be a fun case to watch as it winds its way through the courts. I hear Gableman is looking for work. The guy sent to El Salvadore was photoshopped with tats. SOmebody is going to get a spankin’
Unlike Democrats, Republicans aren’t as much into performative theater. That’s all Democrats have. A single-a-long on the Capitol steps during Easter recess? That’s the best they have?
Unlike Lindsey Graham going on camera saying Dementia Don should be Pope.
Dugan suspended. The “liberal” WI Supreme Court has disciplined the errant Judge. Is everyone happy?
I wouldn’t call it “disciplined”. More likely it is just common sense (who knew liberals had that?). If she gets convicted many of her past judgements will be appealed; may as well stop the bleeding now. She has to come out of this squeaky clean if she still wants to be a judge.
But she didn’t lose her pay. I wonder what they will do about the other judge that says she is refusing to hold court? If I don’t go to work without reason I get fired.
Not as long as she’s not behind bars.

Nope.
8 U.S. Code § 1324 (paraphrased for brevity):
Any person who knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation shall, for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs be fined under title 18, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
This judge should incur the full wrath of the justice system she swore an oath to uphold.
