Quit with the same old same old

Tuesday’s election is another change election!

Attention authors! News outlets are hungry for your prescriptions of what Democrats can do to emerge from the political wilderness. Use your imagination! The New York Times editorial board this Sunday says (here Blaska cuts to the chase) Democrats should quit reading the New York Times.

[Democrats] should admit that their party mishandled Mr. Biden’s age. Leading Democrats insisted that he had mental acuity for a second term when most Americans believed otherwise. … Voters believe that Democrats refuse to admit uncomfortable truths on some subjects, including crime, illegal immigration, inflation, and Covid lockdowns.

Democrats should recognize that the party moved too far left on social issues …. The old video clips of Ms. Harris that the Trump campaign gleefully replayed last year — on decriminalizing the border and government-funded gender-transition surgery for prisoners — highlighted the problem.

David Shor, the bracingly honest Democratic data scientist, put it well: “We’re now at a point where the more people vote, the better Republicans do. — “Democrats are in denial about 2024”

 No irony there!

Who conjured the mendacious Project 1619, which taught that white America is institutionally racist? Who pooh poohed illegal immigration until the buses unloaded at Times Square? Whose reporters witnessed first-hand Joe Biden’s senescence but wrote nothing? Who championed the cause of “non-binary” prison inmates? Who demanded an end to Stop & Frisk? Who demanded more federal spending? Who celebrated Andrew Cuomo as the Covid lockdown hero? Go to the head of the class if you answered the New York Times!

Allow Blaska an Impertinent ask: Who presided over a decline in K-12 student achievement here in Wisconsin? Who tried to cook test results with mumbo jumbo metrics? Whose Department of Public Instruction is a hive of DEI Wokeness? That would be the incumbent superintendent, Jill Underly. Endorsed by a Democratic Party of Wisconsin that — like those French generals — still fight the last war. (It was the messaging!) Jill Underly is the teachers union pet. Hailed by the Bernie Sanders worshippers at The Capital Times.

Even the Wisconsin State Journal, so fearful of a progressive reader boycott, was conscience-bound to endorse Underly’s opponent, reformer Brittany KinserMore compelling is the verdict of certain former Democrat and Madison mayor:

The incumbent, Jill Underly, wants to spend the state’s entire $4 billion surplus on public education. But she proposes no changes, no reforms and she would ask for no accountability — no improvements in test scores or anything else. … Moreover, it’s just simply untrue that money is the problem for most districts. In fact, last year Wisconsin communities passed referendums worth more in total than any year in history. — Dave Cieslewicz

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Wisconsin and most of the nation voted for change last year. Jill Underly is more of the same failure. Brittany Kinser IS change. And hope for the most disadvantaged kids.

Can Democrats vote for the kids
instead of the teachers union?

blah blah blah. stuck on repeat. move along. people are more concerned about Dementia Don killing the economy, screwing them out of their SS checks . He surrounded himself with a bunch of corrupt fools who’s only answer to their screw-ups is to scream and lie. republicans are lucky to get out of a town hall in one piece. Musk handing out checks and door prizes isn’t a good look, Dave. going back to Biden’s age? It’s over and no one cares. Trump’s shit-show is circling the drain and the GOP is lined up kissing his sass… Your paety lives in fear and you can’t govern that way.

“And then there was Jimmy Two Times, who got that nickname because he said everything twice, like: ‘I’m gonna go get the papers, get the papers.’”

Dane County progressives will NEVER backtrack on their lunacy or cease their incessant virtue-signaling–it’s part of their DNA. Might as well ask a hippo to dance the lead in Swan Lake. If there’s one trans person in the world feeling a twinge of discomfort , they’ll sound the alarm. If there’s one illegal alien languishing behind bars and yearning for a sex change, they’re ready to file a flurry of lawsuits. If there’s one BIPOC who imagines herself the victim of frat boys intent on mayhem, they’ll hold her trembling hand. That’s why the red counties in the rest of the state need to GET OUT THE VOTE! on Tuesday. PS: I already spent my ill-gotten gains from the election, all $100 of it, at one of Madison’s fine dining establishments. Gracias, Elon.

Nevada’s mean household income is higher than Wisconsin’s mean, and the mean NV household pays 1/3 of the taxes that the mean Wisconsin household pays. University of Nevada has similar entry requirements as UW Madison for undergraduates. Las Vegas public schools are actually pretty nice. So, not enough spending isn’t it. Lots of people keep moving to NV, they’re not moving to WI, except for Madison. NV doesn’t have a sizable underclass (like WI does) that destroys value as well as a virtue-libtard class that feels a constant need to talk about lost causes, but really never deal with them. That culture is unheard of in NV. There’s something in all of this and it’s never talked about in Madison. NV isn’t a perfect state, but it’s certainly not wasting resources and emotional energy on lost causes and too many paper pushing PhD’s who haven’t taken care of the obvious despite how much resources they’re given. You live or you lose in NV, you don’t keep doing the same thing like the department of ED in WI. It’s getting old.

WI’s way, or whatever, isn’t producing legitimate value. It’s mostly just producing a lot of bureaucratic hot air, paper, and NGO largesse.
