Flying Old Glory upside down is disrespectful to the United States. Reminds me of satanists who employ the image of upside down crucifixes to demonstrate their infantile rejection of Christianity. Are you a satanist, Normwegian? Surely not. Grow up.

expat: The upside-down flag gesture has become symbolic of the Stop the Steal movement, which originated after the 2020 Presidential and seeks to undermine the nation’s election process.
Speaking of non-sequiturs (a phrase which you have difficulty spelling), I’d say your Whack-a-Mole reference is a good example.

Upside-downers are indeed signaling distress: a distressful lack of judgment. But I would defend their right to display Old Glory however they choose on their own property.
Years ago a delegation from the Chinese consulate in Chicago came to Madison when the Dalai Lama was in town. They objected to the Tibetan flag being flown outside the City-County building. Madison officials made sure the Tibetan flag waved proudly for the duration of the Dalai Lama’s visit.

It’s pretty obvious the US is in distress. I’d rather have people doing it over the national debt vs the Trump verdict. And let’s face we’d still have a weaponized justice system even if the verdict had been not guilty.
We’re in the story of the Chinese farmer. Is the verdict bad for Trump? Maybe.

A year ago very few of us would’ve believed that this perversion of our justice system could happen in the US. The 8th Amendment (no unreasonable fines shall be levied) the presumption of innocence, the statute of limitations have all been thrown out. No one is above the law but Citizen Trump is beneath them. And now Pandora’s Box is open,
Those who are happy with these perversions have sold their political souls because their ends justify their means.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the Appeal To Heaven flag. The city of San Francisco flew it at their city hall until very recently when it became politically inconvenient.
