The fat lady has not yet sung!
What a difference one month makes! The well respected Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll just out shows Biden taking the lead in battleground Wisconsin, albeit by a single point, in a head-to-head matchup. But that’s a 5-point swing, given that the organization’s poll a month ago put Trump ahead by 4 points.
In the seven swing states, Trump lost 20 points, cumulatively, from February. His support eroded in six of the seven states, increasing only in Georgia by one percentage point.
The Werkes tends to ignore national polls; Biden can claim every vote in California and Trump in Texas but running up the score doesn’t doesn’t help either in the electoral college.
Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll

How would third-party or independent candidates like RJK Jr., Jill Stein, and Cornell West affect the race? In short, they help Trump. But the general erosion compared to early February’s poll continues. Trump still bleeds15 points.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Seven months is an eternity.

Biden also takes lead in the dead pool, passing Jimmy Carter.
True Christians should buy Trump’s new bible for $60. Orange Jesus needs $88 million just for sexually abusing and then defaming E. Jean Carroll.
Signature editions of The Trump Bible include a forward by Stormy Daniels.
The next seven months could be fun.
President Trump added over $5,000,000,000 to his money pile yesterday with his DJT IPO. The stock is up again today. I think he’ll be fine.
There is no proof that Trump sexually abused Carroll.
Define proof as related to sexual abuse, MTR. What the hell do you know?
Enough to realize that a preponderance of evidence standard isn’t proof. And that using a standard as low as that is a wheelbarrow of BS when trying someone for something as serious as sexual assault.
Want something closer to proof? Produce DNA evidence. Produce an ER doctor’s report. Produce a corroborating witness. Produce the date of the assault. Produce the ripped leggings. Produce a criminal conviction where “beyond a reasonable doubt” is the standard and unverifiable testimonies like this are laughed out of the courtroom.
Were there ripped leggings, MTR? You have a feverish imagination. Who was wearing the leggings? How do you know they were ripped? Point me to your news source.
MTR: Just read a brief article from Courthouse News Service. Mentions Ms. Carroll’s “tights”. Article made Trump look like the pig he is.
Not ripped, according to the court transcript of her testimony, so I’ll revise that one. Forcibly pulled down instead, which if produced would still show evidence of a struggle. Got anything on those? How about my other five points?
I’m not disputing that he’s a pig. I’m disputing that Carroll produced ample evidence to convict him of the crime she accused him of.
There’s not physical undeniable irrefutable proof that lots of people did the crimes they’re convicted of. Once the judgement is made, the judgement is made. We kill plenty of people who deny they committed the crime they were convicted of.
We do have irrefutable proof that Trump bragged about doing pretty much the same thing he was accused of in this case: “grabbing by the…”
“There’s not physical undeniable irrefutable proof that lots of people did the crimes they’re convicted of.”
Rollie…buddy…if you need any help moving them there Goal Posts again, your pal The Gotch will lend a hand.
The Gotch
Not moving goalposts at all. A comment was made that the allegations didn’t have “proof”, and I contextualized to remind that it is a quite common situation, and we still talk of these people as if they really did the deed in question after they’re convinced/judged, and furthermore the accusation fit into the theme of prior recorded statements. Those are facts, not arrogance.
If anyone wants to argue that all people found guilty must have irrefutable physical evidence against them, feel free. Let’s apply that concept to everyone then.
It’s reasonable to think that Trump did indeed do what he is accused of. Biden probably did the sexual stuff he’s accused of too. Biden’s just more in the Clarence Thomas kind of crowd, while Trump is in the bang sex workers and take what you want crowd.
Rollie: ”Biden probably did the sexual stuff he’s accused of too.” How the hell would you know? Pry your moronic fingers from your keyboard and meditate upon the meaning of the word “respect.”
”There’s not physical undeniable irrefutable proof that lots of people did the crimes they’re convicted of.”
Yes, there wasn’t irrefutable proof that Khari Sanford murdered Robin and Beth Potter Carre. But the evidence produced in that case was an ocean apart from one woman’s testimony of an alleged assault on an unspecified date decades ago with no witnesses or physical evidence. Surely you can see the difference.
”We do have irrefutable proof that Trump bragged about doing pretty much the same thing he was accused of in this case: “grabbing by the…”
So what? That only proves that he’s a lecherous pervert, not that he assaulted Carroll.
”If anyone wants to argue that all people found guilty must have irrefutable physical evidence against them, feel free.”
No. I’m arguing that convictions of serious crimes must carry serious standards of proof. The accused have rights too, despite the slavering eagerness of some groups intent on eroding them. Gotch mentioned moving the goalposts, which is exactly what the metoo movement acolytes want, up to the presumption of guilt without trial by jury. Don’t believe me? Recall Obama’s Dear Colleague letter to university administrators calling for using a preponderance of evidence standard when evaluating campus sex crime allegations. The result was kangaroo courts of these administrators disciplining and expelling male students without due process over unfounded accusations. Thankfully, Betsy DeVos repealed that letter’s insanity. But Carroll’s case proves that they’re at it again, and are perfectly willing to use sex crime accusations as a cudgel to ruin men they don’t like.
”It’s reasonable to think that Trump did indeed do what he is accused of. Biden probably did the sexual stuff he’s accused of too.”
If we make it acceptable to convict people of crimes just because it’s reasonable to think they committed them, then we are lost as a society. That is Red Scare level sh!t. And no, this is not a partisan issue for me. I defended Biden when Tara Reade leveled accusations against him, just like I defended Justice Kavanaugh—even though it is more likely that Biden is a sex criminal than Kavanaugh. I did not defend Bill Cosby or Harvey Weinstein because the evidence in both of those cases was overwhelming.
“.. likely that Biden is a sex criminal”, MTR? Delusional thinking.
Ha! You appear to follow celebrity sex crime trials extremely closely. It’s almost as if you attended each day of testimony for all of them, with how well you discern the quality of the evidence in each case.
“Trump is not a sex criminal” is a really strange hill to defend. You’re right that men sure don’t have the rights they used to. It’s a crying shame famous people can’t just grab pu!*ys like the good old days. Make America Great Again!!
“Make America Great Again!!”
Rollie…buddy…anybody who utters that virulently RAYcist trope must be a…um…RAYcist, am I right…?
The Gotch
”“.. likely that Biden is a sex criminal”, MTR? Delusional thinking.”
I said “more likely” in comparing his alleged sex crimes to Kavanaugh’s. Context matters, though perhaps not to you.
Not delusional thinking at all. Justice Kavanaugh has no documented history of sexual misconduct. There is photographic and video evidence of President Biden being a creep and a pervert on multiple occasions, including towards minors.
”Ha! You appear to follow celebrity sex crime trials extremely closely. It’s almost as if you attended each day of testimony for all of them, with how well you discern the quality of the evidence in each case.”
I follow a lot of these closely because I’ve personally witnessed false allegations of sex crimes and know the damage they can do. And I also know that false allegations are a lot more common than some groups in this country want anyone to realize. We all make our own judgments as to quality of evidence, and yes, it can be subjective. But if you would convict someone of a crime that allegedly happened decades ago on an unspecified date with no witnesses or physical evidence, then I pray you’re not employed in our criminal justice system.
”“Trump is not a sex criminal” is a really strange hill to defend.”
For God’s sake, this isn’t about Trump. I’ve stated multiple times that I don’t like him and wish he would go away. It’s about bastardizing standards of proof to the point that someone can ruin a person’s name and make their life miserable over paper-thin evidence. And an electorate that the media makes so partisan and gullible that they’ll believe anything negative about a political adversary without question. I demand better. Some of us are still objective enough to defend those we don’t like when they’re unfairly targeted.
Rollie once again showing his arrogance. Apparently, he has the ability to determine someone’s guilt be sifting through (selected) accusations. Heck, he’s so dialed in, he doesn’t even need physical evidence!
