Planning to honor mom and worship the Creator of All Life this Sunday at church? Gird your loins. Some on the Hard Left are encouraging pro-abortion fanatics to storm Catholic churches on Mother’s Day and disrupt the Mass. They target Catholics, presumably, because our church is the leading pro-life religion and because a majority of the justices likely to overturn Roe v. Wade are adherents.

The organizers name themselves as “Ruth Sent Us” after the late liberal icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg, proving again that they were AWOL when God handed out the irony gene. Bader Ginsburg criticized the Roe decision as “too swiftly shaped” and “unstable.” The Madison Diocese is posting an on-line advisory stating:

Although some locations of the protests seem to be confirmed by parishes and dioceses, still unclear how many protests across the country are being planned. The Diocese of Charleston, the Archdiocese of New York, and some churches in Washington, D.C., are taking extra precautions. According to a statement shared by the Diocese of Charleston, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is now involved and warning parishes.

“Ruth Sent Us” on Friday 05-06-22 doxxed the home address of the six conservative justices of the US Supreme Court in service of its harassment campaign — as if the Constitution should be decided by bullhorns. The President’s spokesperson, Jen Psaki, notably refused to condemn the doxxing.

Reaping Schumer’s whirlwind

Where would someone get the idea to harass the Court? the Wall Street Journal asks. Perhaps from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who stood on the Supreme Court steps in March 2020 as the Justices considered a previous abortion case.

“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he literally screamed.

Led by President Biden, our liberal acquaintances (… for they ARE our acquaintances) pose the “what’s next?” question. Will school desegregation, gay marriage, inter-racial marriage — also be reversed? In addition to Justice Alito’s express assurance otherwise, the inimitable Peggy Noonan provides this balm of Gilead:

As a wound, the Roe v. Wade decision never healed, never could. … The other high court decisions that liberalized the social order … were followed by public acceptance, even when the rulings were very unpopular. Most came to have overwhelming support. But not Roe.

Why? Because all the other decisions were about how to live, and Roe was about death. I believe the fact of abortion, … thinking … “It’s just some cells” … has released a kind of poison into the air, that we breathed it in for 50 years and it damaged everything. Including of course our politics.

Do dip into Justice Alito’s draft decision in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Org. Need not read it all but it’s actually very compelling.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: In a way, we should thank the raised-fist vandals for proving once again why the rest of us — like the Ukrainians — must protect democracy.

Should we pray for them?

      Why these two pro-abortion fanatics haven’t been excommunicated is beyond me. They’ve done more than most in political office to promote a practice contrary to one of the central tenets of the Church’s teachings for decades. More evidence of just how in love with death our culture is.

    I’m heading off to church right now. Will say a rosary before mass. I hope and pray that the freaks that want to protest, will keep their protests to the state capital where it belongs. My and other peoples right to conscience and the right to worship is a fundamental right that all Americans do have.

    To deny Americans their right to conscience and their right to worship, in my mind, is the same as spitting in the face of all Americans who put their lives on the line, were wounded, or died to defend that right of all Americans.

    Throughout history, in other countries, those of you who want to protest would find yourselves locked up in prison, being worked to death or shot for having the temerity to even suggest such an action.

    Be glad you live in America. Don’t spit in the faces of those who want to worship as they please. Don’t spit in the faces of our veterans who put their lives on the line, were wounded or died to protect your right to protest!

      I agree. However, NO veteran alive today fought for the right to protest. I served in Afghanistan. The day I deployed I was far more free than the day I returned.

      I wanted to fight for freedom. But I was forced to fight to secure a supply of Poppy so my countrymen have a fresh supply of Heroin.

      Then Fentanyl came and the Poppy fields were useless.

      End of War with Afghanistan.

      Taliban did not deprive me of freedom, the US government did (ie Patriot Act).

    Just got back from Mass. No issues at all. Glad that there were not any issues. Said a prayer for my mother and all mothers for giving us who can read this, life.
    Thank you Mom, my wife and mothers every where for giving us life.

      I hope priests, deacons, and ushers (and every Catholic attending Mass) continues to remain vigilant about potential threats — these include desecration of the Blessed Sacrament which that sick, evil “RuthSentUs” cabal has openly called for. They have targeted Catholic churches and threatened to “burn the Eucharist” and with the overnight terror attack right here in Madison on a pro-life organization these threats need to be taken seriously.

      Further, harassing and intimidating federal judges is specifically a federal crime — including harassment at their residences. The Feds should be all over this and stomping out these insurrectionist efforts instead of targeting moms who don’t appreciate their children being indoctrinated at school by gender ideologies and racial provocateurs pretending to be teachers.

    Overnight terrorist attack, including arson and property destruction, at Wisconsin Family Action building near airport.

    I’m sure with all the security cameras and electronic monitoring near the airport that the terrorists will be caught in short order.
