and irascible head groundskeeper at the Policy Werkes is David Blaska, former has-been, 33-year card-carrying RINO, recovering know-it-all journalist. Holds the record for banishment on the NextDoor social media app. Aging gracelessly at Stately Blaska Manor on the SW side of Madison WI, the Emerald City.

“Forget the debt ceiling. The Biden-McCarthy compromise is a big deal because it is a spending compromise. An important provision of the deal is that if, by the end of the year, the House and Senate haven’t passed 12 appropriations bills (the long-forgotten way budgeting is supposed to work), all discretionary spending would become subject to an automatic 1% cut. This is what is known as a “sequester.” A sequester is to Democrats what garlic is to vampires. …
“The truth today is this: The modern Democratic Party — the party of Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and the House Squad — won’t cut or slow spending for any existing federal program, ever. Now, Mr. McCarthy’s negotiators have managed to create a wedge against the left’s massive opposition to spending reforms.”

“As a presidential candidate in 2020, Biden criticized Trump for “drastically” restricting access to asylum. Now he’s doing the very same thing.”

Rachael Rollins, the US attorney for Massachusetts, leaked sensitive Justice Department information to a journalist in an effort to influence a local election, lied to investigators and improperly attended a fundraiser with Jill Biden, according to two critical federal reports released Wednesday. “Rachel Maddow made a career out of spreading lunatic conspiracy theories on MSNBC, as did Chris Hayes and Nicolle Wallace (who is still, today, rejecting all evidence that contradicts her fever dream). Adam Schiff lied relentlessly from his official perch on the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and is now gearing up to run for the Senate.”

Stay a long way from downtown.

What will I do? Why, I’ll do what I’ve been doing for a year now: Stay the h#!! away from State St. & downtown Madison. At any moment, if a criminal fights the police anywhere on the continent, this area can turn into a riot zone. So I’ll stay away from where I basically grew up.
Also, I’ll do almost all of my routine discretionary spending (thousands of $$ so far) at businesses outside of the City of MadTax&Spending. Until I can get out of here permanently.
That’s what I’ve been doing, will do, and will continue to do. And if enough of us did so maybe we could starve the public beast of play money.

I’ll probably make popcorn…… As I said before –“The outcome of the trial may be in doubt, but the “outcome of the outcome” is not.

Dave,
I’m really glad you are asking this question as I work in the downtown area and don’t want to see where I work or anywhere else destroyed.
The prospect of turning the rule of law over to the mob scares me to no end. I saw an excellent presentation on this topic just today by the Reverend Bishop Fulton Sheen done about 50 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOKlHUqOsIM
In this presentation he asks the question: Quo Vadis America? Or America, where are you going? In the presentation he states that there are two kinds of revolutions. One to make a government of people who will govern themselves and the other to have violence for the sake of violence.
Please, my fellow citizens of Madison, Wisconsin and America, take the time to watch this video. You don’t have to be Catholic to understand where he is coming from or where he is going with this presentation.
I pray to God, for all of our sakes, that there will not be any violence but the world we live in now is full of it.

Give more money to Black Lives Matter so BLM co-founder Patrice Kahn-Cullors can hire enough staff to properly care for her recently acquired multi-million dollar homes.
Word on the street is that she has expressed particular interest and appears to be unusually focused on interviewing a slew of pool boys.

Yeah. Nothing like owning luxury private property and accruing wonderful equity, Patrisse. Nice to have capital to invest. So much for Marxist ideology. Karl Marx and his wife and governess (with whom he may have enjoyed threesomes) must be turning over in their London graves.

VERDICT? Either way, there’s no doubt… CNN and their ilk will report peaceful protests yet RIOTS everywhere. Locally, plywood still remains downtown & rightly so. Any biz in MDSN that still survives ? They exist only by the grace of BLM, Brandi G and the “Woke”. Gotta pity the rest of this Nation.
