David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Sen. Cruz delivers a master class in liberty

Calls out hypocrisy of Democrats

‘Their side is funded with dark money and massively!’

If you want to understand how America teeters on the thin edge of freedom, please watch one of my favorites. At Tuesday’s 10-13-20 at the Senate Judiciary hearing, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, holds a seminar on the liberal attacks on our Bill of Rights and the Democrat(ic) party’s hypocrisy.

Cruz takes apart Sheldon Whitehouse’s conspiracy theory — that “dark money” is behind Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the supreme court. He points out that the dark-money Demand Justice is spending dollars in the seven figures to oppose her nomination. He reports that 14 of the top biggest political donors give to Democrats almost exclusively and only three give most of their money to Republicans.

Abortion — Even if Roe v Wade should be overturned, abortion would still be available in states that legislate its legality, Cruz noted. (Even the Notorious RBG said Roe was poorly reasoned.) Democrats say they favor “reasonable restrictions” But four of nine justices ruled against the federal ban on partial birth abortion.

Speech — Cruz points out that the kind of supreme court justice Democrats want to appoint voted in favor of banning books, as Citizens United would have allowed in an election campaign season. Justices in Citizens ruled in favor of free speech but only by a 5-4 margin.

Religious liberty — A lower court ordered a monument to WW1 casualties be covered up because it bore a Christian cross. The Supreme Court overturned that order but only by a 5-4 vote.

Second Amendment —  The court’s ruling allowing citizens to possess firearms in Heller v D.C. passed by only 5-4.

⇒ Whether Joe Biden will pack the court, Sen. Cruz reminded, you don’t deserve to know. So much for democracy.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: This is 31 minutes that America needs to see, for academic credit at our universities, before voting, for the survival of our republic.

How do YOU think the confirmation hearings will play out to voters?

So you win 5-4. What’s the problem.

      A. Democrats. If they win, the government will tear down statues, ban books, and harass the Little Sisters of the Poor.

I’m talking law; your talking politics. This is why we keep seeing “court shopping” by both sides. Keep suing until you find a judge that agrees with you. Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania all are doing this in the battle over drop boxes.

If Barrett’s rulings are as vague as her answers we are all in big trouble.

For one, the leftist airbags won’t give her a chance to talk. They keep interrupting her, only succeeding in making complete A*s of themselves.

Second, as an officer of the court she can’t comment on specifics of what she would and wouldn’t do. If you don’t believe, check out what RBG said about this.,

Ralph Nader used to say it doesn’t matter who the President of the U.S. is, because corporations control the country. If memory serves, I heard him say this in 2000 on Chris Matthews’ old “Hardball” show when it came to Madison. Might be interesting to look up a few of Nader’s TV interviews. He was on the ticket in 2008 and maybe 2012.

Also, Ralph Nader ran for Prez with the Green Party in 1996 and 2000.

And nobody exposed how government was screwing us better than DT has. It’s why Deep State, the filthy rich, Big Tech, and many never-Trumpers hate him with such a vengeance.

Additionally, that was politics of a bygone era. The D party is no longer the same party. They’ve been hijacked by lunatics who will stop at nothing to change the foundation of this country.

Yes of course, political parties are not the same. But to what extent do corporations control our lives? They do good, too. Right now Astra-Zeneca is developing a Covid vaccine. And Liberty, how is government “screwing” you?

And, 200 Covid-19 vaccines are in development around the world.

I hope they see what they did during the Kavanaugh hearings. Whiny, mean-spirited, uneducated phonies (one of whom wants to become president) berating a classy, strong, poised, brilliant woman.

They’ll also see the hypocrisy. They accuse of Pence of interrupting and “mansplaining” to Pence, but these airbags won’t even given ACB a chance to reply.

  6. I’ve been home a lot lately. Catching hearings at lunch etc. 1st time in my life I’ve been able to devote time to something like this. Missed Cruz yesterday. He drags into the light what’s at stake. ACB is a VERY accomplished jurist. I enjoy how she doesn’t even need notes of any kind. Her memory is amazing. Dems keep asking her how she’d vote on numerous topics. C’mon! They know as a judge she can’t do that. Am I concerned about the ACH? Yes. Initially I was against it. In some aspects I still am. I was self employed. No way in hell could we afford health ins. prior to it. I have benefitted because health took a digger the last 2 yrs. However, I sure’s f**k am not going left w my vote. Life’s a risk just living.

Notes aren’t necessary when you’re telling the truth and speaking from a heart guided by an ethical core.

      Lefty needs notes.

      Solve for X.

          Evasive tactics? You’re embarrassing yourself.

Is there any earthy relation to the questions (Coons, Spartacus, Moron Savant Hirono???) that have been asked of Justice Barrett, or Justice Kavanaugh for that matter, to the ones, posed to Kagan or Sotomayer?

          Disgustingly despicable Lefties!!!

Perhaps Senator Cruz should sponsor legislation to end the unlimited spending allowed by the Citizens United ruling in order to make political spending more equitable.

The whole point is that YOU get to determine however much YOU wish to spend, and the other side does too. Legislation to make it more “equitable” would simply limit political speech, the very thing that the constitution forbids. The Left: “Shut Up” he explained.

Why are we wasting time and money, not to mention the potential for exposure to COVID-19 on Capitol hill for these hearings? Upon Justice Ginsberg’s death republican stated they’d fill the seat before the election, they stated such prior to DJT’s nomination. He could have nominated someone totally unqualified for a jurist position likes he’s done many times before for federal judgeships and the republican senate would jump and approve.
