Our word of the day is ‘Chutzpah’
(Yiddish for “what nerve!”)
This is the school board president who kicked cops out of
Madison’s troubled high schools
NEWS ALERT:
Detectives from the MPD’s Violent Crime Unit, the MPD’s Gang Unit, with assistance from many MPD officers, have arrested two Madison teens in the murder of 11-year-old Anisa Scott.
Andre P. Brown, age 16, was arrested on Northport Drive earlier today. Perion R. Carreon, age 19, was arrested Wednesday, for an unrelated crime, while driving a stolen car on Thierer Rd. Carreon had a loaded handgun in his waistband at the time of his apprehension.
Brown and Carreon have both now been tentatively charged with being party to the crimes of first degree intentional homicide and with attempted first degree intentional homicide. Under Wisconsin Law, adult court has original jurisdiction over Brown due to the severity of the crime.
Both he and Carreon are in the Dane County Jail.
This continues to be an active and ongoing investigation and VCU cannot rule out the possibility of additional arrests. Bringing to justice those responsible for the senseless murder of a child has been the top priority of the MPD.
School board president Gloria Reyes: “I am deeply saddened by the passing of 11-year-old Anisa Scott. These senseless acts of violence will create long lasting trauma for our young people…. As a former law enforcement officer and deputy mayor for public safety, I know firsthand the work that can and must be done to keep our community safe. As the president of the Madison School Board, I know firsthand the negative and far reaching consequences violence has on our families, our students, our staff, and our entire school community. We must prepare and implement a plan of action to prevent violence and to stop this horrific rise in violence.”

Have we already forgotten?
It was just this past January, before COVID-19 shut down school early: “Madison West High School student arrested after loaded gun found in backpack.”
“BB gun found in East High School student’s backpack, principal says”
13 responses to “Gloria Reyes: City must act to stop rising gun violence”
At least Covid-19 will give the district more time to implement a strategy for keeping kids safe without officers in the schools.

Ms Reyes comments eloquently highlight the fecklessness, cultural rot, & cranial excrement hosted by most levels and areas of “leadership” of this once notable city. Pablum, bromides, cliches,
hand-wringing, kick-it-down-the-road… a never ending tsunami of B.S. to “‘splain-away” failure.

Number of views TELLS US THE GRAVITY OF THE PROBLEM. PS, do not Google the lyrics for these songs. Content will you remind you of Jeffrey Dahmer.
remember these for comparison to those video’s that YouTube censors or removes.

Sentient’s point, for those disinclined to wade into the You Tubes (from the first example we sampled) seems to be that Black rap is misogynist and vile. F-bombing Dresden and Tokyo.

Primary point is this —– the view counts provethe popularity of such content.
Two implications:
1. Validating and embracing the culture in the videos attitudes is the antithesis of virtue. It is no mystery WHY there is an educational gap in the nation.
2. With values like these, reflect on the quality (sic) of citizens who embrace this culture. Re-imagine how any positive culture or society can be created with these values?
Impossible.
Reform? Fundamental change that will reduce drive-by shootings? Never in a trillion years. Only question that remains –> HOW to remove (inoculate) this culture from destroying the traditional values upon which our society is premised.

This is representative of “leadership” across the country unfortunately, not just in Madison.

Blah, blah, blah. Reyes had an opportunity to make an impact statement when voting for cops in schools. Instead she cowered, like most politicians and figureheads. Worthless.
And how many times must we hear variations of “We must prepare and implement a plan of action to prevent violence and to stop this horrific rise in violence.”?
Just do it already. Actually, if you want to stop violence, start by pushing for personal responsibility instead of treating every thug like a victim with unmet needs.

Reminiscent of our Mayor asking OTHER people to speak up about the gun play epidemic.
“Somebody ought to do something about this!”
Right, I just wish there was somebody in a position to do something meaningful. If only.
