Huge fire and explosion just after dinner / supper hour at 7 Tuesday evening (07-10-18) in Sun Prairie, the Squire’s old stomping grounds. Main and Bristol Streets are the heart of my old home town. That’s the old city hall pictured at right. The new city hall is a couple blocks to the east and the city council was meeting. Fortunately, the gas leak was reported a half-hour earlier so that people could be evacuated. First responders are dong an excellent job. Many of our family members were and are SP volunteer firefighters.

My thoughts go out to all of them, volunteer or not, they put their lives on the line. Godspeed young man.
It made the National NBC News this morning and this evening, when they interviewed Barr’s widow.
Have to hand it to her, if I’d just lost the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch I wouldn’t be holding it together that well.

I think all of us, who can never agree on anything here, can agree this is a terrible event and a tragic loss.
So it would be wrong of me to say I thought it was Old Baldy hearing that Stormy Daniels had been arrested?
Not necessarily wrong but probably in poor taste.
