Our liberal-progressive-socialist acquaintances were born anti-cop. Blaming police is part of their genome. They are tireless, committed, and creative in their ways to harass police.
Now they are flush with cash — $3.35 million will buy a lot of lawsuits, hearings, inquiries, probes, press conferences, rallies, and general mischief.
There is a cabal of eight Madison alders who will do their best to demean Madison police. One of them is Rebecca Kemble, a member in good standing of Madame Brenda Konkel’s far-left partisan, Progressive Dane.
Kemble wants the council’s Subcommittee on Police and Community Relations, of which she is a member, to order MPD to launch a new investigation of the Tony Terrell Robinson Jr. shooting. (Isthmus broke the story.)
That subcommittee was created on top of the Police Department Policy & Procedure Review Ad Hoc Committee — the one that asked for a got $400,000 for a Berkeley, California firm to “study” MPD’s policies, procedures, culture and training.
That is on top of a complaint solicited by Progressive Dane against the chief and filed with the Police and Fire Commission.
That is in addition to a civil rights complaint filed with the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin.
We mentioned a “cabal.” Its membership consists of the members pictured here. They are the same ones who voted to allow scam artists claiming to be “homeless” (they’re not) to panhandle in the median strips of our busy city streets. We wrote about it here.
Madame Brenda notes that if the mayor supports something — as he did the ban on median strip panhandling — most of these types will vote against him.
On a far-Left council, these eight are the dizziest.
