Imagine that four white punks had tortured a disabled black kid and F-bombed Barack Obama for public amusement. There would be an desperate run on storefront plywood in Chicago. Sturm und drang from MSNBC. Turgid tsk-tsking from The Nation’s stable of socialists. Don Lemon extra Red Bull nasty. The victim invited to the White House.
Inconveniently for the identity politics industry, the victim was white and the perps (most of them) proud of their depravity.
The nation’s race baiter in chief offered his typical Mike Dukakis, non-judgmental sangfroid:
“What we have seen as surfacing, I think, are a lot of problems that have been there a long time,” said Obama, a longtime resident of Chicago. “Whether it’s tensions between police and communities…”
Tensions between police and communities! One no more culpable than the other. Tensions with police! Now do you understand why the four thugs beat on that poor kid? They’re the community and they have tensions with police. Time to take down a disabled white kid!
Repentance? Contrition? Not on two of these four faces
“For the next 25 minutes, the abuse continues for the world to see. The victim is repeatedly kicked and punched, but his screams are apparently ignored.” CNN reports:
Hands tied; don’t torture
Video of the attack shows the 18-year-old victim cowering in a corner of a room, tied up with his mouth bound in plastic. His eyes exude fear as his attackers get ready for their next act. One assailant slashes his sweatshirt with a knife. The young woman streaming the abuse on Facebook Live repeatedly turns the camera back to herself.
An attacker then takes a knife to the victim’s head, carving a patch off his scalp. For the next 25 minutes, the abuse continues for the world to see. The victim is repeatedly kicked and punched, but his screams are apparently ignored.
Fortunately for the sensibilities of Well Off White Men like Paul Fanlund, the Black Lives Matter hate group has been absolved of complicity. “Police said they have not seen any connection to the Black Lives Matter activist group, contrary to some reports on social media,” CNN reported. Whew! That’s a relief! No paper trail connects to BLM grand wizard DeRay Mckesson.
Yes, Chicago police are formally adding the hate crime enhancer, which the Policy Werkes here has never liked. All crimes against the person are born of hate. But if it’s going to be on the books, it ought to be applied ecumenically.
Are conservatives seizing on the race hate angle? Sure. They’re only responding to the news media and liberal politicians (led by Obama) obsession with race over accountability. The lie of “Hands up, don’t shoot.” It is a culture that causes elected officials in Madison to think the problem is police — not drug-abusing gang bangers.
What is most shocking is how the Chicago perps reveled in their depravity, boasted about it, shared it with the world, expected adulation. It worked that way in Nazi Germany — the more outrages, the less the outrage. Chicago — murder capital of the U.S —is truly sick (a good portion of it, anyway).
“Cruelty on that level … it’s evil. … We have allowed this racism to run rampant … because the Left has given them an excuse. … There is a sickness in the black community, my friends.” says national commentator James T. Harris (a native of Milwaukee).
F-bomb Fallujah, Aleppo, and Baghdad.
President Obama, put boots on the ground in Chicago. Take over the schools, the streets, and the services. Police the hell out of that place — and Milwaukee, while you’re at it.
Platinum subscriber asterisk: Next time the Sharon Irwins of the world lecture you that there’s no such thing as reverse racism. There’s no such thing … there’s no such thing … there’s ….
While the crime you describe is horrendous, and most certainly meets the definition of a racist hate crime, any discussion of unequal treatment of criminals should probably include the story of the white high school football player in Idaho who received no jail time after being found guilty of raping a learning disabled black teammate with a coat hanger.
“What is most shocking is how the Chicago perps reveled in their depravity, boasted about it, shared it with the world, expected adulation. It worked that way in Nazi Germany — the more outrages, the less the outrage.”
In fairness, the comparison should be not to Nazi Germany but to Dylann Roof.

David,
You have to remember only the left can use Hitler as a reference to describe anything right of center. Wink Wink Nudge Nudge.
Scott Walker has to go he called it a “Christmas Tree” that is a bridge to far.

I don’t know Dave, I’m seeing plenty of outrage all around – left, right and center. But, that doesn’t fit your narrative.
A-Bob, read my blogge before you respond. I quoted President Obama’s weak-kneed “condemnation.”

You left out the part where he called it despicable, but that doesn’t fit your narrative.

At least we can all agree that President Obama has brought much the same result to race relations as he has to health insurance, the economy, foreign policy and the Democratic Party.

A recovered economy all teed-up for Republicans to screw up again with tax breaks for their big contributors (as usual), 20 million more people with health insurance and an American leader respected around the world (except for Bibi). Race relations did take a hit; having a cerebral black man in the White House sure brought out the racists. As for the Democrats, they need work. But Trump is about to make them great again.

The economy has been all wee-wee’d up for all of Obama’s failed efforts. 9 trillion bucks on the credit card.
His legacy?
He declares war on carbon and America becomes is the largest energy exporter in the industrial world.
America’s rivals laugh and do what they will. Our allies know we can’t be trusted. Obama gets a Nobel Peace Prize for participation.
Abob, my favorite part of President Obama’s legacy is this….
He denied the smartest, bestest, most entitled Liberal in history from being the first woman president in US history.
Twice.

A citation of that Leftwing outrage would be nice but, of course, A-Bob can’t deliver.
