Following the school to prison pipeline
Wednesday, April 24 in Madison WI
9:10 a.m. — An MPD detective effected the arrest of a 16-year-old suspect (HM) for repeated acts of sexual assault of a child (inappropriate touching of a 15-year-old female). MPD was recently made aware of a series of inappropriate behaviors initiated by the suspect toward the victim occurring over a span of approximately 2 weeks in February of this year while at school (La Follette High School). The suspect was subsequently conveyed to the juvenile reception center.
11:16 a.m. — Officers responded to a disturbance at a middle school involving a juvenile suspect/student (12-year-old AAF) who was previously suspended and banned from school property. However, the student showed up at the school, caused a disturbance, and subsequently refused to leave. Despite 45 minutes of dialogue, officers attempted to take the juvenile into custody, at which point the student fought with the officers, injuring both officers in the process. The student was unharmed. The student/suspect was transported to JRC. Investigation continuing.
6:48 p.m. — Officers were dispatched to Elver Park for a large group of 20 or more males allegedly pulling out guns and threatening each other. When officers arrived on scene, they noted several individuals (some of whom have gang ties) leaving the area. Three individuals were seen getting into a car and driving to the other side of the parking lot before abandoning the car and fleeing on foot. A K9 sniff of the abandoned vehicle revealed the presence of marijuana. It should be noted that this same vehicle has been involved in three pursuits during the past few weeks. Investigation continuing.

Investigate the Obama regime
There is no doubt that the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign. As Barr made clear, the real question is: What predicated the spying? Was there a valid reason for it, strong enough to overcome our norm against political spying? Or was it done rashly? Was a politically motivated decision made to use highly intrusive investigative tactics when a more measured response would have sufficed, such as a “defensive briefing” that would have warned the Trump campaign of possible Russian infiltration? — Andrew McCarthy in the New York Post.

Mueller report indicts Barack Obama
The partisan warfare over the Mueller report will rage, but one thing cannot be denied: Former President Barack Obama looks just plain bad. On his watch, the Russians meddled in our democracy while his administration did nothing about it. … f you consider Russian election interference a crisis for our democracy, then you cannot read the Mueller report, adding it to the available public evidence, and conclude anything other than Barack Obama spectacularly failed America. Subsequent investigations of this matter should explore how and why Obama’s White House failed, and whether they invented the collusion narrative to cover up those failures. — Dan Jennings at CNN.

Love the man’s clear-eyed, unsentimental prose and his unblinking commentary on Bret Baier’s Special Report news program on Fox. Charles Krauthammer had a wicked sense of humor. He was a true conservative, critical of Trump (in stark contrast to orange-nosed Sean … Continue reading
