Predict the Nov. 5 elections!
Hey kids! What time is it? Time to consult sooth sayers, spray Windex on your crystal ball, and shake the Magic Eight Ball. Let’s have some fun with these political wagers:

1) Plus or minus: how many percentage points (to the first decimal) does Trump under-perform or over-perform senate candidate Eric Hovde in swing-state Wisconsin?
2) Of the 99 members of the Wisconsin Assembly, 64 are Republican. How many Republicans will be sworn in after Election Day?
3) Of the U.S. Senate’s 100 members, 49 are Republican. How many after November 5?
4) Do Republicans a) hold or b) lose the U.S. House of Representatives?
5) The two Madison public schools referenda, yea or nay and yes or no?
6) City of Madison WI $22 million spending referendum, up or down?
7) Who wins U.S. Senate: Tammy Baldwin or Eric Hovde?
8) Who wins Wisconsin? Kamala or Donald?
9) Who wins the Electoral College?
10) What day/time does the media call the election?
Blaska’s Bottom Line: (with the help of Ol’ Sparky, our Eisenhower-era youknowwhat) the Werkes reveals its un-educated guesses here.

You predict a Hovde win?? Interesting. It would be good, but polling now seems he does not have much of a chance.
Squire: You give a lot more credit to the wisdom of Madison and MMSD voters than I do. With the plethora of nontaxpaying voters like UW students allowed to vote in our local elections, I just don’t see how the referendums won’t pass. Hope I’m wrong.
WHERE do the riots begin?
Is there anything left to loot on State Street?
A Kamala victory would be a relief of sorts. It would be final, conclusive evidence that the Republic is dead. The not knowing is more stressful.

The Gotch
Everyone should read Daniel Henninger’s opinion in today’s Wall Street Journal. Among other things, he reminds us how close the Dems came to eliminating the filibuster during the Biden-Harris administration. If not for Sinema and Manchin it would have happened, which would have led to statehood for DC and Puerto Rico, control of the judicial branch, no limits on federal spending, Medicare for all, and voting at age 16. Keep in mind that a 50/50 Senate with a Democratic President means a 51/50 Dem majority. If Kamala wins, the above changes could happen sooner than you think. All the more reason for never Trumpers to get over it, hold their noses, and vote for him like my wife and I did.
If Donald Trump loses this race, it will not be the fault of Never Trumpers. It will be Donald Trump’s fault and nobody else’s. You can only stand to hear that somebody doesn’t want your vote so many times, before you believe it
Hope you’re wrong, Squire. I agree with Elon Musk that of Harris wins this election we will no longer have free elections ever again.
Or free speech. When the Dems get rid of the 1st amendment and then the 2nd the rest will fall. As Barack Obama said ” fundamentally change this country” will happen.
Or, at least, for another four years. “Ever” is a long time.
Oh ye of little faith – the Senate will be at least 51/49 Repub because of Sheehy in Montana and Big Jim in West Virginia.
I would like all the referenda to go down, but at least 1 of them will if people still read the Wisconsin State Urinal.
Sherrod Brown is in the race of a lifetime in Ohio and so is Casey in PA these last few weeks – could be a couple of dark horses.
Tammy is a do-nothing Senator and should be fired – why is she having ads touting working with Trump when he is Hitler??
All the Donald needs is one of Wisconsin, Michigan, or Pennsylvania – methinks PA is not looking kindly on the fact that Trump was almost killed on their soil.
Overall, I feel confident about a Trump win. However, I get nervous about all the stacked cards against him: lawfare, MSM bias, social media censorship, Harris campaign lies (sorry Squire, I disagree with you about Progressive election meddling).
[…] Mike calls to say the Werkes’ election predictions are goofier than Kamala Harris at a town hall. (He was more diplomatic, but we get his gist.) Mike […]
