Shot from the south side of East Doty Street in downtown Madison WI Friday 12-19-25 around 11 p.m., it shows police pulling school board vice president Maia Pearson out of an automobile that Brandi Grayson-Tuck had been driving.
Maia Pearson was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She also chairs the City of Madison Police Civilian Review Board. Brandi Grayson-Tuck is CEO of county human services contractor Urban Triage. She was arrested for three counts of disorderly conduct and one of drunk driving. All are misdemeanors.
The video was taken by a bystander who had visited the third annual Black Men Coalition Foundation’s Revitalize Gala at the Edgewater, where Brandi Grayson-Tuck was given an award. Afterwards, the two women drove to the Merchant restaurant on E. Doty Street where they parked in a no parking zone, marked by orange cones. Once inside, she was told to move her car. The owner called police. She returned to the car where she established that she was a driver and therefore subject to drunk driving charges. The bystander had also driven to E. Doty Street and captured this video. We wrote about this case Monday and earlier today.

I just feel sorry for you and your lovely family, and many friends, having to be subjected to living at the mercy of such creatures. I left because I really couldn’t see a way to fix it in any of it. Seriously though this could be Brandi’s out: She was set up by a rival, patriarchal non-profit who ensured she would be over served at the award ceremony.
Far fetched yes but recall Urban Triage was responsible for fanning the flames of the ridiculous Whitehorse school accusations not long ago. Nothing is beneath them.
This is just research by Ms. Pearson for her appointment to the oversight board. She had to see how MPD treated people of color when they arrest them. Ms. Grayson-Tuck should be reminded of Uber and other services for people who have had too much to drink.
Do you realize how drunk they must have been to believe that locking yourself in the car was going to make it all go away? I’d expect Pearson to be automatically booted from the oversight committee by virtue of resisting arrest.
You might expect it her to get booted. But if history is an indicator, the oversight committee will see this as a badge of honor. I recall that one of their requirements was that one of their members have an arrest record. Well, Pearson now checks that box.

That’s a terrible video, you can’t identify any details just general shapes and general movements. My cell phone can produce MUCH better videos than that without trying. The video is completely useless unless the people in the video say it’s accurate. Lets be honest, AI can create a video like that, here is a screenshot from a AI generated video I just asked it to create and it’s far quality than that video and I intentionally asked for a low quality video.
Personally, I’m not going to dive into this quagmire and offer any opinions based on what I’ve heard, read, or seen in this video. I get the fact that they were arrested, but beyond that I need more facts.
After studying the video some more, I thought I recognized the spot it was taken. I have confirmed that the video was taken from across the street at 106 E. Doty St., many year I worked out of an office on the lower level of that address. It’s a half a block down Doty from the Merchant Restaurant. What I cannot confirm is when it was taken, but based on the claims me confirming the location, I suspect the video is legit.
The video is very legitimate. The provenance is unimpeachable. It was night time and the scene unexpected. You doubt the great and all-powerful Oz?
