for partisans who would rather vilify than persuade!
It’s a Rorschach test, the shootings of those Minnesota state legislators and their spouses. Over-heated conspiracists are grasping at whatever straws they can find (some of them plastic) to prove that the killer was an unholy warrior against their version of truth and justice.
The prevailing theory — advanced (among others) by an online site called “Democrats are Communists” — is that the fake cop killed the state assembly speaker emerita because she — alone of her liberal party — voted with Republicans to block health care for illegals. The theory falls apart when the other legislator shot did no such thing.
Our friend Vicki McKenna incites one of her “top fans,” a certain Craig Borgardt who has the Minnesota shootings figured out:
The Globalist DNC Progressive Marxists staged yet another event to incite our side into reprisals and ultimately, a nation-destroying Civil War 2. Started with McCarthy then JFK and away they go.
Reynolds does not make enough Wrap to cover that guy’s noggin!

Hey Conspiracy Nut, explain why this supposed defender of illegal immigration listed Wisconsin’s Mark Pocan and Tammy Baldwin on his hit list? At this point, we defer to Gerard Baker at the Wall Street Journal:
We don’t know for sure the actual political motivations of the suspect in the Minnesota shootings. What we do know is that he was instantly designated by competing sets of fanatics to fit their profiles of the enemy within. Social media was its usual toxic soup of allegations, rumors and flat-out fabrications about the suspect. He’s a buddy of Gov. Tim Walz who might have been motivated by some state-legislative chicanery over illegal immigration.
No, he’s a Trump-supporting, Democrat-loathing, pro-life extremist. It seems likely as we learn more that the latter is a closer fit, but does it matter? The other side will surely get the villain it longs for next time.
Words matter
Here is where we do our Both Sides Do It! dance. Who shot GOP floor leader Steve Scalise at the Republican baseball practice? Which of the last two Presidents survived assassination attempts? Quit the pretense: the former FBI director posting “86 #47” is calling for violence. For all the hyperbole of the No Kings marchers here in Madison WI 06-14-25, if Donald Trump were a king, venal though he be, the President remains restrained by the courts, by the law, and by a recalcitrant Congress. Once again, Gerard Baker:
The daily demonization of political opponents, the implicit and sometimes explicit claim that the opposition is a greater enemy than the foreign foes actively committed to our destruction — what do they think would happen? If you call your opponent a fascist or a fifth columnist for an invading enemy power, why wouldn’t people take command of their otherwise dire fate by eliminating them?
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Our political opponents may be misinformed (like Rick taking the waters at Casablanca) or uninformed. They are not traitors, they are not evil. Granted, they may be stupid but …

Vicki has gotten whacky…..
Has?? always been one. Just like all the shock jocks on the radio, blogs, etc.
whacky? just listen to van Orden run his mouth after this shooting.
Sometimes Armageddon, sometimes Insurrection.
The PD has his manifesto yet won’t release details.
If the manifesto had negative info about Republicans, we would know. Since we have no details, the manifesto must damage Democrats.
Kind of like a police report stating ” the suspects knew each other” , which is code word they are gang bangers
It’s called evidence and will be released at his trial. You need a better brand of tinfoil for your hats.
well, sooner or later Armageddon is going to happen. with all that is going on (middle east here China, Russia) something will trigger Armageddon.
In that case, Arma geddon outta here. (I’ll let myself out.)
Don’t forget the possible reversal of the earth’s magnetic poles, Steve. Trendy, but a way-out scenario.
