Because we support Brittany Kinser for Public Instruction

No political battlefield is more strewn with casualties or more taken with hostages than our schools. Race relations, DEI social engineering, anti-Semitism, vaccines, immigration, and policing are fought on battlefronts from the neighborhood grade school to Ivy League universities. Issues of declining educational and disciplinary standards pit parents v. powerful teachers unions and their allies in the schools of education and the Democrat(ic) party.
We’re already seeing the abuse Brittany Kinser is taking from the education-industrial complex. The candidate for WI Superintendent of Public Instruction supports charters and vouchers. Denounces the incumbent for jiggering test scores to hide the dumbing down of our students under Jill Underly’s watch. And because Ms. Kinser is running against the Democrat(ic) party’s chosen one, Ms. Underly.
Which is why Blaska’s neighbors have taken to calling Blaska a fascist.

It’s a ‘mute’ point!
Be forewarned before you cite declining test scores. On the NextDoor social media site, one Karin K. out of Madison’s Westhaven Trails offers this rebuttal to Blaska for citing reliable statistics:
I do have to wonder why we’re ceding the importance of corporate standardized tests to this fascist. … Someone who infamously put playing patty cakes with Republicans above any and all legislative goals. All they’ve ever shown is how good a child is at taking the tests, and are a horrific way to run a system. …
Our neighbor may be taking her talking points from Chicago’s teachers union president. “Stacy Davis-Gates loves to call private schools “fascist” and “racist,” the New York Post reports. “But it turns out she sends her son to one — De La Salle Institute (average tuition: $14,750 a year).
What does it tell you that Madison parents filed 1,212 applications through the state’s Open Enrollment program to get OUT of Madison public schools while only 337 wanted to get in last school year?
Open school district enrollment is now underway through April 30.
Applications are being taken for vouchers (with income limits).
Gerald E. on NextDoor: “Is it Blaska? I have him muted. He’s a crank.”
Arnie Olsen on South Prairie Rd here in Madison accuses Blaska of being unable to “quietly make a choice FOR YOURSELF, based on your personal beliefs, but rather you have an unquenchable thirst to impose those beliefs on everyone else too, yet you always use terms like freedom, liberty, choice, etc. specifically to con people.”
We were forced to respond: “Arnie are you new to Madison? You don’t think MMSD has a political agenda? DEI-driven, steeped in critical race theory = equality of result, not equality of opportunity. Dumbing down educational standards. A behavior education plan driven by identity politics.”
Richard S. Russell of Madison’s Oakbridge started this particular on-line debate — it is lengthy. We suspect similar debates are repeated in communities across the state:
It seems to me that either the incumbent, Jill Underly, or Sauk Prairie Superintendent Jeff Wright understands what public schools are all about and would do a good job heading up the public-school system in Wisconsin. … Kinser is supported by Moms for Liberty and is all in on parochial and home schooling and using public funds to pay for private schools. In other words, PUBLIC schools wouldn’t be her top priority.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: You’re correct, Mr. Russell. Supporting public schools would NOT be Brittany Kinser’s top priority. Educating kids WOULD be her top priority.

Gotta love Arnie’s comment–“an unquenchable thirst to impose those beliefs on everyone else too”. Of course he was not quenching HIS thirst for imposing any belief on anyone when he wrote that…..
David,
I can’t find the whole conversation on Nextdoor with Chris that Karin K. jumped into to get the full context, but is it possible that Karin K. could be calling either President Trump or Elon Musk a fascist instead of you?
No. See the follow-up I just added to her quote.
Thanks for the update.
Yup, you were the target of the fascist remark.
It’s as if Karin K. reads your blog, she posted that last comment at almost the exact same time that I posted my question in this thread. That’s actually quite convenient, because now Karin K. will be able to see that I’m calling her a f’ing moron of epic proportions for making that absolutely unsupportable FALSE claim. She’s just another internet troll that can’t support her arguments with actual facts.
Here’s my note specifically to Karin K.: Prove your fascist claim or be tarred a trolling ignoramus.
Glad I came back in here to see Karin K’s follow up on fascism and Dave. It is astounding that someone who proves her utter ignorance of basic historical terms like fascism is running the schools. It is no wonder she hates tests of what kids know. Knowing anything is clearly not any sort of priority for her.
David, has finally been awakened to the typiucal hateful politics of the left that almost always aligns itself with todays Democrat party. They are the party that kicked Tulsi out, kicked rfk jr. out. They need to be retired permanently to the ashheap of history.
You should be proud of the enemies you make on this issue. If by some miracle, Madison’s NAEP test scores suddenly turn around and rise over the next few years, Ms. Karen K will drop the meaningless “corporate” from her label for standardized test scores and heap praise on Madison for pulling off such an educational renaissance. I doubt it will happen, of course, but with Trump at the helm you just never know.
Regarding neighborsnextdoor (THEY Report/YOU Decide!), the preponderance of despicable Lefties there are clearly $#!tting themselves sideways because a fact-based Universe flatly rejected their consummate idiocy generally, and Kacklin’ Kamala specifically, and chose (say it with me) President Donald J. Trump.
The Gotch, familiar with the monoculturally larded, Useful Idiot slobberings of both Karin K. and Gerald E. (having had…um…words with each) is left to ponder: Why he hasn’t been blocked by those two (2)?
Perhaps he needs to up his game…?
“Educating kids WOULD be her top priority.”
Bravo Indigo November Golf Oscar!
Can you even fathom the depth of d!p$#!ttery necessary to be so ideologically phuqued that that wouldn’t be THE priority?
The Gotch
WOW! Karin (not Karen, that would be too priceless) sounds like the childless cat lady from central casting.
Dumb-ass progressives. Keep it up please, you’re killing your party.
If Blaska is being called a fascist by a Madisonian, chances are he’s on the right track and some ACTUAL fascist’s ox is about to be gored.
Blaska, please delete the above.
“But it turns out she sends her son to one — De La Salle Institute (average tuition: $14,750 a year).”
Lest we forget a legendary Blaska foil, the race-baiting, breathtakingly hypocritical Ali Muldrow takes the same approach, while despicable Lefty can only plaster a goofy Crazy Guggenheim/Canckles Clinton look on their pudgy faces.
The Gotch
If someone calls you a Fascist the appropriate reply is to call them a retard. They will become apocalyptic at which you respond with “retard, retard, retard”.
Beat them at their own game – if they chacterize any disagreement as “hate”, you MUST characterize any disagreement as STUPIDITY.
And yes, FU to Snoop Dog and Tom Brady, you two useful idiots.
While not a big fan, The Gotch will say that Snoop Dog pulled off an Image Resurrection for the ages; from dope smokin’ hate rapper to spoxdroid for just about everything.
The Gotch
Speaking of spoxdroids, will Mahomes and Kelce cut back their shilling to focus on, you know, football?
That was a BIG can of whoop ass.
Wear their claims of facism, post mutes/deletions, and other cancellation as a badge of honor. It’s proof to the reasonable people watching that progressives can’t handle opinions contrary to their own and want to live in an echo chamber. Ask them why they hate free speech and watch them deflect and squirm.
