Make Gaza great again!

The 53st state? (after Greenland & Panama?)

Permit this dues-paying RINO to say a good word about the insurrectionist in the White House. Maybe five or six. We like the way he thinks. Which is outside the box. Sometimes outside the solar system. (Matt Gaetz at Defense orbits Alpha Centauri.) But still …

There has been no greater disrupter in the White house since Ronald Reagan, about whom, days into the job, some crisis or other reared its deformed head. Advisers related the actions previous chief executives took in such situations. The Gipper asked why did he go to all the trouble to get elected, if only to dance the same old soft shoe? They laughed at his Star Wars. Israel calls it the Iron Dome.

Reagan called the Soviet Union for what it was; so-called wise heads at State quivered at his sledge-hammer of a demand, Tear Down This Wall! My old boss Tommy Thompson replaced major welfare giveaways of 50 years standing with get-to-work programs. Scott Walker crippled the disproportionate power of the teachers unions. How the heathens rage even to this day!

 Gentlemen, start your bulldozers!

Gaza

Donald Trump in his first iteration moved the American embassy to Jerusalem. Statement made! Trump v. 2.0 wants to take over the Gaza Strip. Someone should! Israel allowed it self-rule and look what they got! (California, we should note, also has self-rule.) CNN ran a montage of past U.S. presidents vowing a two-state solution, imagining that Palestinian and Israeli would live side by side in peace and harmony like that syrupy ’70s Coke jingle. Trump and (apparently, although not explicitly) Bibi Netanyahu have decided to quit banging their heads against the same stone wall.

Empty Gaza out, put a construction fence around it, give some no-show jobs to the Soprano family, and put the damn thing out for bids. Run a subway through the tunnels of Hamas. Invite the world’s best architects. Plop a Trump hotel right in the middle with views of the Mediterranean Sea like no one has ever seen before. The Monaco of the Middle East. Girls, golf and gambling!

Meantime, what to do about the 1.8 million inhabitants (if that many remain) of that wretched strip of desert? (We thought shortly after October 7 that a small, low-altitude nuclear burst would be more humane. But did they listen? No-OOO!)

Palestinians have proven to be political and social poison wherever they settle. No sane government would want anything to do with Palestinians. — Hot Air

If Egypt and Jordan won’t take Gaza’s wretched refuse (we don’t blame them), maybe the president of El Salvador will. Who knew he has the largest prison in the world! (Robin Vos, take notes.) Could we inject the Gazans, like that plague bacillus, into Putin’s Russia? (Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has the buses.)

Um, got to go. People at the door. Looks like the high school kids from Elon Musk’s strike force. How did they find me? Did they not see the blood on my door post?

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Alright, alright, alright — taking over Gaza is a crazy idea.

You got a better one?

Seems Hakeem “FIGHT_IT_IN_THE_STREETS” Jeffries has met what some of…er…us have established as the burden of proof.

      Should we start the clock…?

    From ethicsalarms.com (bolds/caps/italics mine throughout):

“The more I learn about the USAID the more disgusted I get. The lack of morality or ethics in the US overall is very disturbing. Aside from the illicit spending, there is another side which doesn’t get much press coverage.

“I spent the last 4 years of my career working for a government agency (Not the IRS or FBI) chasing down people who defrauded the government on the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EIDL) which were instituted during the pandemic. THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO CHECKS OR INVESTIGATIONS MADE WHEN TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS WERE MADE AVAILABLE – all one had to do was fill out a form online, make up some social security numbers and FEINs, and submit. And from the first day, the amount of fraud was staggering. You may have seen a few stories relating to this on episodes of the ‘American Greed/COVID Cons‘ tv program.

“The sad thing is, the IRS has admitted that they do not have the resources and WILL NOT GO AFTER ANYONE WHO TOOK LESS THAT $80K.

“I hate to stick up for the IRS, but they do definitely need those additional agents to handle this type of investigation and ascertain that as much legitimate tax revenue as possible is collected (how it is spent is a whole other issue obviously).

IT HAS BEEN ESTIMATED THAT AT LEAST $250 BILLION WAS GIVEN OUT TO FRAUDULENT APPLICATIONS.”

Or the Macau of the Middle East. Look what happened to this sleepy former Portuguese colony after China declared it a “special administrative region” and developed it into the Las Vegas of the far East. It’s roughly the same size and population as Gaza. Anything would be an improvement over what’s there now.

The Saudis can take over Gaza and make it into their “special administrative region”, Vegas-style, complete with beachfront venues. Give the royal kiddos something to manage. Other times it would be “midnight at the oasis, send your camel to bed, let’s kick up a little dust”, as in the old song Midnight at the Oasis.

The U.S. should stay out. After Trump making nice with BB we must have assorted Islamic radicals aiming to terrorize us (not that we didn’t before).

In 1972 Beirut was the Monaco of the eastern Med. World class casinos, five star all sorts of things then came the Palestinians then Syria then Hezbollah.

Let us remember that Joe Biden gave Iran $5 billion dollars to play nice which they used for tunnel construction and October 7th.

Palestinians in general and Hamas in particular do not want a two-state solution. If there’s ever going to be peace in the Middle East, it will not happen before every last one of these jihadist groups are deep-sixed and never allowed to return. If Israel doesn’t finish the job now, it’s only a matter of time until there’s another October 7.

On a happier note, I don’t know which one is more entertaining; President Trump (say it with me) speeding down the highway of history or watching his enemies self destruct.
Some power that be has reimagined karma.

Jihad will always reconstitute itself, like some amorphous, asexual organism, continually reproducing. Islamist radicals are an old problem. (Note: the Jefferson administration managed to sweep them away from the Barbary Coast).
