Madison had some of the worst smoke in the nation!

Second-hand Canada is bad for your health!

Truly one for the books, a topic of water cooler conversation throughout Wisconsin. Everyone is comparing sunset pictures. A chart in today’s print Wall Street Journal (but not on its website) depicted our air quality here in Madison as the worst of 17 locations depicted, with 234 parts per million of so-called 2.5 fine particulate matter pollutants. The standard for healthy air is less than 50 micrograms. In any event, the air today is much better, according to the U.S. EPA and the sky watchers in Blaska Tower.

Photograph posted on social media attributed to Kenton Fowler shows fishermen on Lake Monona with the WI State Capitol in the smoky background.
Thursday 06-29-23 southern Wisconsin entered the nation’s smoke belt.

Wildfires in Canada have burned an area the size of South Carolina. Pretty amazing! Of course, there’s a lot of Canada up there. The indentured servants closed down Stately Blaska Manor and activated the air scrubbers.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Now if it would only rain!

Remember when everyone burned autumn leaves? (!!!)
Gee our old La Salle ran great!

Heck, it was even smoky up in majestically forested Iron County and Saxon Harbor on Lake Superior, compromising The Gotch’s ability to enjoy his daily constitutional: A brown-bagged 40 quaffed while the surf rolled in off’n The Gitch.

Returning on Wednesday afternoon via County M from Hwy 113, all you could see of Lake Mendota from Bishop’s Bay was a brown haze!

Are there any OTHER REASONS to HATE CANADA….?

It’s Canada’s revenge for all the acid rain that the U.S. put in their lakes in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

Over 400 police calls each day for last 2 days but chief explains 12 and 8. Talk about coverup of increasing crime rates
