This is one for the books!
Never seen it so smoky as today on the SW side of Madison WI. The National Weather Service blames Canada. Why not? !!! We’ve been blaming Canada for winter for a century or more. This website shows the worst is right over southern Wisconsin (as of 4:35 p.m.) 06-27-23.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds the public of a multi-day air quality advisory due to another round of smoke from Canadian wildfires. The current advisory is in effect through noon on Thursday, June 29. The most significant air quality and health impacts are anticipated between noon on Tuesday, June 27 and noon on Wednesday, June 28.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Got to admit, sure is purdy!

Where are Al Gore, John Kerry, Gretta Thunberg and the rest of them complaining about man made co2 emissions from the fires. This is worse than when Mt. St. Helens blew up.
.
Not all bad. Went for a walk with wife this morning. Shortly into it, we were separated, and I haven’t seen her since. Quiet afternoon watching MLB.

What a tribute to the Nanny State: concerts on the square canceled. Talk about lame. Wow.
Why lame. How about the musicians who have to suck in lungfulls of air to play their horns???
Why didn’t the common council think ahead and declare Madison a wildfire smoke free zone? Too busy virtue signalling over less important matters that’s why.
