Madison police, UW police, State Patrol, and sheriff’s deputies cleared Library Mall of pro-Hamas demonstrators on the University of Wisconsin campus early this morning, beginning shortly before 7 a.m., two days after their Little Gaza popped up. 34 arrests were made. Four police were injured. We’ll see if Dane County’s progressive district attorney prosecutes. As of late this morning, some of the “Students for Justice in Palestine” tents were going back up.
In New York, police cleared pro-Hamas hooligans at Columbia University live and in prime time last night 04-30-24. “About time,” said a CNN contributor who retired after heading police forces in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. That 300 were arrested and (far as we know) no one was injured is a testament to great police work.
We’re impressed with the lessons authorities here and in New York learned after the disgraceful George Floyd riots four years ago this summer. And the spine shown by Mayor Eric Adams of New York and Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin at UW-Madison. As for Mayor Satya? Send out a search team! We may have learned to:
1. Act expeditiously. Don’t let the dysfunction fester. You cannot ignore these bastards. Did Columbia’s president tarry a tad too much? The protesters escalated, as they always do, by seizing and vandalizing a building. What do they say about the camel’s nose under the tent?
2. Use overwhelming force, which prevents injuries to protestor and police officer. Easy to understand why. The bad guys are humbled when know they are hoplessly outnumbered.
3. Keep news media at arm’s length — as NYPD did from the quad in front of Hamilton Hall — to forestall the lawbreakers posing as martyrs for the cameras. Or hit them at dawn, when the whole world isn’t watching!
4. Come well equipped with shields, helmets, visors, and zip ties. NYPD employed what looks like an urban assault vehicle, which deployed a hydraulic staircase up to a second-floor back window of Hamilton Halll, through which at least 50 officers entered.
5. Do not negotiate with terrorists, except for the terms of their surrender and punishment.

Columbia and New York police were blaming “outside agitators.” If that was the case, for whom do they work? Is Iranian money — some of the pallets that Barack Obama air-lifted — buying disruption through progressivism’s useful idiots? Consider the source but the Jerusalem Center for Public Policy contends Students for Justice In Palestine has been linked “to Islamist and Palestinian terror organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Marxist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.” Congress must investigate. BTW: Did you notice some professor types among those resisting police on Madison’s UW campus? One of whom is reported to be Samer Alatout.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Bodes well for peaceful political conventions. MSNBC, The Nation, The Capital Times, John Nichols, Mark Pocan, and the rest of the Squad should wear sackcloth.

Students arrested should be expelled, no refunds. UW employees arrested should be fired, no severance pay or recommendations. Outside of those groups should be aggressively prosecuted.

I listened to rump’s entire idiotic speech, if you could call it that, live. Did you? It was the usual I’m the victim, I did everything, stop any war with one phone call BS. No early voting, only paper ballots and hand counts for everyone. He wants to run the election without holding any office. Still can’t figure out the abortion issue and thinks Bibi is an air rifle company in Iran. A panicky left?
