Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Who will be the last Republican Baghdad Bob?

To excuse Florida Man’s toxicity?

Near as we can figure, Muḥammad Saʿīd Al-Ṣaḥḥāf is a youthful 85 — not too old to become Florida Man’s spokesman for a second term. Who better to justify another attempted putsch after the ‘Dem-o-RATS’ steal the next presidential election?!

Fondly do we remember Baghdad Bob. He was the PR flack for Saddam Hussein who insisted that Iraq was turning back George W. Bush’s coalition forces even as his boss was burying himself in that upright bolt hole in the sand.

When your job is to spin the truth, Baghdad Bob was a one-man uranium-enriching centrifuge!

We’ve got our own B-Bobs in the Republican party. No one spins like Florida Man’s hard-core base. Call them Timothy Ramthun’s 6 percenters. One even defended their hero’s supper with Kan-YE (of little faith) West and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes as “reaching out.” These are the same people who believe Hugo Chavez jiggered our voting machines, that John “Fifth Amendment” Eastman is another Justice John Marshall, that January 6 is all Nancy Pelosi’s fault, that Mike Pence betrayed America, and that the My Pillow Guy got it all figured out. Anyone who disagrees is a RINO!

They’re parroting Florida Man’s Dog-Ate-the-Homework excuse. Fuentes was just some guy who came to dinner with Kanye West — as if THAT invite could be excused!

“Enough with the Jim Crow stuff. Who cares? Oh, they had to drink out of a different water fountain, big f***ing deal. Oh no, they had to go to a different school,” Fuentes said in one video. “It’s better for them, it’s better for us.”

“I’m getting really sick of world Jewry — that’s what it is! what it is! — running the show, and we can’t talk about it,” he said in another video

John McCormack quoting Nick Fuentes in National Review

Roster of RINOs keeps growing!

Like Baghdad Bob, we suspect Florida Man’s bitter enders know, in the reptilian corners of their cerebral cortexes, that it’s over for their side. It is just that — like Saddam in his bolt hole — they’re in too deep to admit it. In the meantime, they will turn the centrifuge up to warp speed 11 to slander these Republican RINOs:

Gov. Brian Kemp: “Racism, antisemitism and denial of the Holocaust have no place in the Republican Party and are completely un-American.”

Mike Pence: “President Trump was wrong to give a white nationalist, an anti-Semite, and a Holocaust denier, a seat at the table and I think he should apologize for it.”

Sen. Marco Rubio told reporters … that Fuentes is an “evil . . . assclown” who was “legitimized” by Trump’s meeting.

As well as Florida Sen. Rick Scott, Montana Sen. Steve Daines, former Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, West Virginia Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio, Former NJ governor Chris Christie, Arkansas GOP governor Asa Hutchinson.

→ Even Herschel Walker is keeping his distance from Florida Man. — Read it in Politico

Hosting racists at Mar-a-Lago is Trump's equivalent of Mandela Barnes hoisting that 'Defund I.C.E' T-shirt.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Our Christmas wish is that platinum subscribers like Mark Lemberger and Fred Milverstedt, and opinion leaders like Ron Johnson, Tommy Thompson, Scott Walker, (and yes) Vicki McKenna and Mark Belling, will finally say they’re tired of cleaning up behind the politically incontinent loser.

Who will be the next big name to turn RINO?

Good example of a straw man argument in the opening paragraph.
“If you do not renounce Trump thrice before break of day you are blah blah blah, woof woof woof.’
An intelligent man always sits and listens to his opponents. Ronald Reagan taught me that.
How can a man you so rabidly hate legitimize anything or anyone?
You’ve got a hard sell to believe Trump hates his daughter, son in law and grandbabies as Orthodox Jews but hey! It’s Donald Trump. Anything goes when he is so stuck in your head.

I think you have put your finger right on it, Mark Lemberger. I’ve been trying to understand why it is that nothing Trump does ever splashes back on to him.

Host a couple of antisemites for dinner?

“So what? It’s Donald Trump, anything goes! And you can’t call him a bigot because his daughter married a Jew, right?”

Umm, wrong. Who his daughter marries and how she raises her children says zip about Donald Trump’s biases.

I think yours is the head he is stuck in. There has never been a candidate in history so dead in the water, but there you are right behind him. KEVIN MCCARTHY just threw him under the bus over Nick Fuentes! Who is still on the MAGA team besides you? Oh, Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Green Taylor. Okay, Kari Lake (loser) too. Name another.

Jared and Ivanka have bailed. Don Jr. and Eric were NOT at the announcement. Get the hint?

  3. We’ve all gotta remember something very important about Donald Trump; in the mind of a full-blown narcissist, like Donald Trump, any publicity that draws attention to himself is great publicity in his mind. Positive publicity can be repeated verbatim and negative publicity can be used to claim that he’s being unfairly attacked by the political left; therefore, both conditions keep Trump in the forefront of people’s minds and in Trump’s mind, that’s a good thing.

If the media would stop feeding the trolling beast, that is Trump, he’d simply wander off into the sunset to find the next obsession that feeds his narcissism.

    1. Bad advice. Like ignoring unusual bleeding or persistent cough. Florida Man is a former president who has announced for re-election. The answer is not to ignore but to cut out the cancer.

      1. David wrote, “Bad advice.”

Actually it’s the correct advice for dealing with that kind of narcissist but it’s not politically feasible because the political left would never do something that’s actually good for the country but would probably be bad for their power grab. Donald Trump is the evil the Democrats have been looking for to take down the Republican Party and put the Democrats in total, permanent and absolute power.

David wrote, “The answer is not to ignore but to cut out the cancer.”

Cut out the cancer by literally feeding the disease with the very food that causes it to thrive, good luck with that approach.

Republicans need to nominate someone other than Trump, but then Trump would probably run as an Independent and suck votes away from the Republican candidate. At this point in time I see the 2024 Presidential election as a lose-lose for the Republicans unless Trump swallows his narcissism, completely walks away from the seeking the Presidency very soon, stays out of the limelight and keeps his loose-cannon mouth shut.

Of course Trump could endorse and campaign for President Biden in 2024 if the Republicans piss him off too much, that would turn the race on it’s head with no predictable outcome. 😉

It seems different this time. Now that he is politically weakened, reluctant former bedfellows are emboldened to cut ties. Kevin McCarthy just kicked him to the curb. He is running out of friends. As he slowly self-destructs in a desperate attempt to attract attention, more and more will feel free distance themselves at least.

The threat to split off as an independent is an empty threat. Know why? Money. Trump isn’t nearly as wealthy as he pretends. He sure as hell isn’t in the same league as Perot or Bloomberg. two guys who actually COULD self-finance. Trump isn’t even a billionaire. which is why he has guarded his tax returns like a junk yard dog. He’s not cheating on his taxes, he’s losing money! Word is he’s got nothing but losses for over a decade. As a CPA, I can tell you that there are tax strategies where losses are “good” to have around, OCCASSIONALY. But losses are only good if you have prior OR later gains to offset. Eventually you have to make a profit, and ten years is a long time. The deep Republican pockets have cut him off. Trump will continue to give them all good reasons leave (maybe dinner with David Duke this time.)

    4. Mark Lemberger asked, “Why vote Republican?”

Here’s an excerpt from my September 30, 2022 blog posts titled What Happens When Americans Openly Ignore Their Own Blatant Self-Evident Hypocrisy?

I’ve been an independent my entire adult life always doing my best to vote FOR something and not AGAINST something. I’ve voted for Democrats and Republicans across the board in all levels of political offices from President to Congress to State & Local all the way down to School Boards but after what I’ve witnessed over the last 15 years I can no longer justify voting for any Democrat for any office. Democrats are totalitarian wolves in faux Democracy clothing.

I dislike Donald Trump right down to the bone and I won’t support him to be the 2024 Presidential nominee for the Republican Party. That said; there’s no freaking way I’m going to support any of the LIARS, HYPOCRITES, DOUBLE STANDARD MORONS, ANTI-AMERICANS, ANTI-LIBERTY FOOLS, ANTI-CIVILITY INTIMIDATORS & INSTIGATORS, ANTI-CONSTITUTION INDOCTRINATED IMBECILES AND HIVE MINDED TOTALITARIANS of the Democratic Party cult for any elected office at any level of government.

The Democratic Party, their totalitarian shifting ideology and their immoral tactics have driven me away and I’m quite likely irretrievably broken with all things related to the Democratic Party. I will vote AGAINST Democrats in all future elections until they pull their collective heads out of their immoral totalitarian asses. Here is what I say to the hive minded Democratic Party…

No that doesn’t mean I’m now a card carrying Republican.

There’s a lot more in that blog post about the anti status quo “progressive” totalitarians that call themselves Democrats.

So in the end Mark, if you want a reason to vote FOR Republicans then consider doing so simply to vote AGAINST the Democrats because voting FOR Democrats is voting FOR the candidates that are assaulting our society’s building blocks and intentionally undermining all that has made, and still makes, the United States of America the gold standard for freedom and liberty throughout the world.

The choice is simple, vote for that which will reduce the totalitarian Democrats political power.

In my younger years (a long time ago), I also thought Democrats were the better of the two choices, albeit not by much. I’ve now seen enough examples of the big league bias and bullish!ttery that dominates major news media and entertainment to know this isn’t true, and that Democrats are at least as bad, and in many ways worse. It’s much easier to conceal and downplay your faults when you have a sympathetic press on your side that is all too willing to amplify your narrative and smear your opponents.

That’s a false statement and a borderline ad hominem. You literally posted a verifiable lie, which I quoted, and I pointed out that that lie gives the impression that you’re trolling. Posting a comment containing a blatantly obvious self-evident lie in the manner in which you did does in fact give the impression that you’re trolling. I specifically wrote that it “gives the impression you’re trolling” and not that you’re actually trolling for a reason, but that fact seems to have blown completely over your head creating a significant increase in your cranial power generation potential.

TROLLING: verb Posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion to draw attention to themself and for their own amusement.

      Disagreements are something entirely different.

Disagreement: noun lack of consensus or approval.

This comment is disagreeing with your comment and I’ve clearly stated the reasons why.

Guys, the biggest threat to my liberty, our troops, our cops is the DC Swamp. Only Two men, in my lifetime have gone against it. Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.
Trump did a better job of this one goal because he exposed its depth and reach.

During Reagan’s tenure we had the CCP as a common enemy of both parties. He failed to reduce the nascent Swamp but he limited its rate of growth.
Both men suffered slings and arrows, almost beyond belief. But they withstood it and God Bless ’em for it.
Both had the CEO kind of brilliance in that they stated their goals and did a good job against huge odds in pursuing them. Reagan took office with three goals: Revive and rev the economy, defeat the USSR and reduce government. Two outa three of such herculean tasks ain’t bad. But nostalgia don’t butter no parsnips.

Trump said he wanted to make America great again. He might have borrowed Reagan’s strategy about the Soviet Union, “Simple. We win, they lose.”
Trump won on immigration, reversing self defeating trade deals, reducing taxes, getting great growth in GDP, repatriating offshored capital and jobs and exposing the corruption the Swamp. He brought huge judicial victories, best in my lifetime.

You want to exile the man? Read about the life of Winston Churchill. As the First Sea Lord he had to wear the tragic British loss at the Battle of Coronel in 1915. That was not really his fault but then he executed the disastrous Gallipoli defeat and was forced to step down.
The anti Trump phenomena, if applied to England in the 1930’s, would have denied Britain its Churchill to lead them in their finest hour.

We used to admire such leaders.
    I still do.

What was Churchill’s reward for winning WW2 — he was (as he said himself) “given the order of the boot.” Did not contest the election, did not encourage an insurrection, did not lie about losing. Did not host anti-semites for lunch. Did not surround himself with crazies in the clown car. Saved his invective for the Axis leaders, not his own countrymen. And yes, I have an entire library shelf of Churchill books.
