Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

A good man with a gun

saves lives!

A Florida jury is considering whether to strap down the school shooter in Parkland and inject him with poison. Notoriously, the school resource police officer ran away from danger as 17 died.

In Uvalde TX, grieving parents are furious that responders loitered in the hallways for 70 minutes while their children frantically called for help or bled to death. The old adage that when seconds count, police are minutes away — underlined and CAPITALIZED!

Law enforcement has no truer friend that the Werkes. They deter some crime but serve primarily as the intake mechanism for the criminal justice system, thanks to progressives who ban tactics like stop and frisk. Increasingly, police come into play after the crime has been committed.

A nut case opened fire at a shopping mall in Greenwood IN on Sunday 07-17-22. He killed three and wounded two before a 22-year-old shopper, legally armed with his own Glock, shot and killed the bastard, who came prepared for mayhem with three weapons and 100 rounds of ammo.

“The real hero of the day is the citizen that was lawfully carrying a firearm in that food court and was able to stop this shooter almost as soon as he began,” Police Chief Jim Ison said. He called Elisjsha Dicken’s actions, “nothing short of heroic.”

Mr. Dicken was carrying his Glock 9-millimeter handgun legally under the state’s new constitutional carry law. No need for a permit. The police chief:

“He engaged the gunman from quite a distance with a handgun, was very proficient in that, very tactically sound, and, as he moved to close in on the suspect, he was also motioning for people to exit behind him. Many more people would have died last night if not for a responsible armed citizen that took action very quickly within the first two minutes of the shooting.”

The irony is that this particular shopping mall posted signage banning weapons.

Change the law!

Germantown school board asks state to train staff in firearms & allow concealed carry in schools. — Wisconsin Right Now.

“Losing one life at a school shooting is too many and criminals do not follow laws, including gun laws, and the ‘gun free school zone’ signs do nothing but notify a criminal that there will be few, if any, people in the building that can defend themselves, and a sign saying ‘STAFF IS ARMED AND TRAINED TO USE DEADLY FORCE’ sends a message that the school will not be an easy target.”

The Blaska policy agenda:

Establishments that prohibit firearms without active screening should be held liable for resulting casualties. There’s a reason nut cases target places where firearms are prohibited — schools full of defenseless children, especially. Prying firearms from criminals, gang bangers, and nutcases (how many signals must they send?) has been a Big Fail.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Outsourcing personal protection to the professionals is killing too many innocents. Schools should authorize employees who volunteer and are specially trained to carry weapons, as Germantown requests. Post signs at every entrance: “Do you feel lucky, punk?

Well, do you?

I believe we here in America have come to a time where it is become not just a necessity but a requirement for good people everywhere to arm themselves with at least a side arm at all times.

Just imagine if the school shooters had gone into schools where the vast majority of the staff where armed and proficient in the use of firearms.

Would there have been anymore school shootings since the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton Colorado? I doubt it.

The second amendment to our Constitution reads as follows: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

A well regulated militia was US. WE THE PEOPLE!

The militia was comprised of the Minute Men. They were comprised of the farmers, the blacksmith, the shop owner, the barber, the tavern owner and so on. Back in those times there was no standing army, there was just us.

Instead of whipping out a cell phone to record the horrible event that is taking place in front of you, imagine having the power to pull out your Glock and put the bad scumbag down! Even further, imagine you and your fellow citizens all returning fire to put the bad scumbag or scumbags down.

Three rounds center mass. If they are wearing a vest, double tap to the head; or a couple of rounds to the thighs to hit the femoral arteries so that they bleed out and die within a minute.

“imagine you and your fellow citizens all returning fire to put the bad scumbag or scumbags down.”

I have imagined this and it’s not pretty. The “heros” all shoot each other and take out a few bystanders too. Not that the kid in Indiana isn’t a hero – he is. But he was probably very proficient through practice. Most people won’t do that. Most cops don’t do that.

I’d rather see stiff punishment for gun crimes. And I am talking cruel and unusual punishment.

      1. Alright, “heroes” (Your snotty quote marks) are shooting at the perp but hitting each other. You think they’ll be unlucky enough to kill 21 innocent bystanders before they take down the bad guy?

    One eye,

When I talk about a well regulated militia, I am talking about people who are very proficient, very well practiced at using their firearms.

I do however agree with your statement about “cruel and unusual punishment”. A rope over the top of a light post in the middle of town would be an excellent way of dispatching those who kill their fellow citizens.

I’m in favor of more capital punishment but I was thinking why let it go that far?

Felon in possession of a gun? Your reward is castration. Look to countries like Singapore and the Phillipines. Or continue with weakness and see the same shit over and over.

You and Bill live in the same fantasy world. Do you really want to be in the situation where every yahoo tries to play hero (snotty or not) Hell you may take out the bad guy then Harvey Wallbanger takes you out. How the heck is he supposed to know who the bad guy is?

What I’d rather have is highly trained and practiced individuals who have special privileges to carry a firearm. That isn’t what we have now, not even for our police.

The hero in Indiana would have immediately been arrested and charged with various felonies, including murder, if what he did to the active shooter had occurred in Manhattan or Los Angeles (and a good chance in Milwaukee or Madison) as the Regressive (TM) district attorneys in those locales view the criminals as the real “victims” and the actual victims as collateral damage. Exhibit A – the bodega operator in Manhattan who was arrested in the killing of the thug / professional criminal who assaulted him in his booth and all the guy was doing was protecting himself. DA Bragg charged the assault victim with 2nd Degree Murder for the trouble of self-preservation!

I see that DA Bragg finally came to his senses (if he had any) after 3 weeks and dropped the charges today. I saw that in the news after I wrote the comment above. My God, Bragg isn’t qualified to be dog catcher in Manhattan the way he abuses his authority.

  5. And see how the press is burying this story. Buffalo, Uvalde and Highland Park were all front page news. Everyday following had multiple front page follow ups. Months later, those stories are still being analyzed and covered with more coverage. We got all the details. Cartridge count, bios of the victims and the perps.

This story? Small article on page 5 on the day after. Very little detail. First two stories didn’t even identify the hero, or the caliber/make of his weapon. They would have given more coverage, if only the body count was higher, and nobody had stopped him.

You’re assuming they can read. You’re also assuming they care to read. And assuming they catch your drift. Then assuming it will scare them, or they that dying is a big concern.

I think such a sign screams ” free guns in here if you can get ’em”

Not my fault if they can’t or won’t read it.

Good luck getting at my guns. They and the rest of my property are protected by multiple layers of security. The last layer is the one that the degenerate will like the least.

  7. So here is the headline from the follow up story from Yahoo News:

“The ‘hero with a gun’ story is a statistical unicorn
When an armed bystander fatally shot an assailant at an Indiana mall, the country again debated the wisdom of easier access to guns.
Only 22 of 433 incidents ended this way ”

So there you have it. A Unicorn. So rare, it’s almost unbelievable.Only 22 of 433 incidents ended this way. Not even worthy of notice, and certainly not anything you can expect to ever happen again. Not if we have anything to say about it! Because we believe in fewer guns, regardless of the facts! This doesn’t fit our narrative. We don’t want a wild west where untrained vigilantes are shooting up the place in the name of self defense.

The police had this to say about the Greenwood Mall HERO:

“He engaged the gunman from quite a distance with a handgun. It was very proficient in that, very tactically sound, and, as he moved to close in on the suspect, he was also motioning for people to exit behind him. He has, to our knowledge, no police training and no military background,” the police chief said.

And yet, he fired 10 shots from his Glock 9mm around 15 seconds after the scumbag begin shooting. 8 of those shots hit the scumbag and he collapsed after attempting to retreat to the bathroom. It is ridiculous to imply that this would not happen more, if more Good Samaritans were armed.
