Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Has the abortion whirlwind been unleashed?

Was Chuck Schumer right?

We would only point out today that the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization affirmed the right of the State of Mississippi to prevent abortion only after the 15th week of pregnancy. The converse is that abortion remains legal in Mississippi for the first 15 months.

It is fair to ask: Can one decide by the third month whether you want that child? Or do our liberal acquaintances really want abortion up to the moment of birth?

The other question is how many pro-life offices and crisis pregnancy centers will be fire bombed in the coming days. And to what extent is the liberal news media liable. Take this front-page incitement at CNN: “The audacious tone of the Supreme Court’s Roe ruling is breathtaking.”

abortion bans

Wisconsin is one of only eight statees to toally ban abortion. Except that WI Attorney General Rob Kaul won’t prosecute, neither will Dane County D.A. Ismael Ozanne. Even Tony Evers’s appointed sheriff Kalvin Barrett is opting out.

As your Dane County Sheriff, I have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution and enforce laws in a fair and impartial manner. I do have to prioritize my limited resources to focus on crimes that most directly affect the people I serve. These crimes include, gun violence, homicides, sexual assaults, vehicle thefts, human trafficking, impaired driving, and domestic violence to name a few. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office does not have the resources nor expertise to investigate medical professionals conducting medical procedures in medical facilities.

So we must defer to our Platinum Subscribers:

Does abortion trump (!) inflation?

I think you mean 15 weeks not 15 months.

If we can’t trust them to tell the truth before they are appointed; how can we trust their opinions when deciding cases. Why can’t we find the one who leaked the opinion; or is this another cover up? How many pro-abortion offices have been bombed, doctors killed, staff assaulted by pro-lifers?

Nonsense. They did tell the truth when asked about abortion. At the time it was the law of the land and that is what the justices testified to. However, ANY law can be reconsidered IF the right case is brought before the court. THAT is what happened. No justice was dishonest in answering the Roe question. What is dishonest is saying that they were dishonest….

Both Manchin and Collins have publicly said they were misled during interviews.

Nevertheless, they were quite honest in their responses to questions about Roe, as I pointed out. Regardless of what Manchin and Collins think…..

The Constitution was strengthened by this decision and damn well about time. There is no reference to abortion therein. Full stop.
‘Every power NOT given to the federal government reverts back to the states.’
Abortion is the pluperfect example of legislating from the bench and that is wrong.

Has the abortion whirlwind been unleashed? Oh yes – you have no idea.

Simply put – you are a victim of a cynical con game gone awry. The Koch brothers funded the anti-abortion movement (the Federalist Society) because it was the only path to achieve their desired tax cuts. To get a governing coalition they had to unite New York City hedge fund managers with evangelicals (as you know, this is a game of addition). This was a cynical agreement – you support us and we’ll finance your movement. This con was a little different though – like Max Bialystock in the Producers, the libertarian Koch brothers did not expect and did not want to win. “How could this happen? I was so careful. I picked the wrong play, the wrong director, the wrong cast. Where did I go right?”

It is not the first time you have been conned. The Taiwanese gangters from FoxConn picked your pocket for millions of dollars. The Walker campaign managers paid themselves six million dollars and then shut down the campaign. The difference in those cons was it played out exactly how it was planned.

What is the final result? You will see an increase in abortions, not a decrease. Within weeks, you will see a massive advertising campaign outlining luxury buses to Illinois leaving daily from Madison and you will not pay anything. Imagine – free abortions with door to door service. What cost you $500 two weeks ago is now on the house. If you work for Google, Disney or Dicks Sporting Goods, they will even reimburse you up to $4000 for your troubles.

Has the abortion whirlwind been unleashed? Yes, and that wind will reveal and then destroy the fragile Republican coalition.

The Gotch’s sentiments as well, Steve.

DG has a nasty habit of cutting-n-pasting without citation, a common tactic of the intellectually prepubescent.

    2. Are you really arguing that no one genuinely believes human life begins at conception? That every pro-life person is an actor paid union scale by various Koch Brothers?

No – exactly the opposite. The pro-life political activists won this long-shot political battle through sincerity, tenacity and perseverance. Those who financed and led the movement less so ( GH Bush, Dole , Trump and the Kochs were all strong supporters of abortion rights at one time).

This falls under the category be careful what you wish for. You touched upon one of the unitended consequences when you ask does abortion trump inflation. If it moves suburban women (a Trump obsession) by 2 percent in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, it will be impossible to win the Presidency. Frank Luntz is down in his basement right now pulling his topee out.

Of more immediate concern to the true believers and those of us who want to see the number of abortions reduced, you have released a time bomb that will increase the number of abortions in the short-term. Instead of resources going to a comprehensive adoption system, millions of dollars will be released in an abortion travel agency plan.

        What have you won?

The only folks that will burn, loot and murder over this ruling are people that would do it thinking they could get away with it. I doubt that feminists are in need of booze, athletic shoes or Goodman diamonds.

The whirlwind that has been unleashed is inundated with despicably unhinged Lefties (forgive the redundancy), not the least of which is Jennifer Rubin.

Execute? Yikes; this broad is serious!

    It gets worse.

Take a wild guess who despicably unhinged Lefties are blaming?

None other than Hopeless Changey AND late Lefty demigod RBG; a smattering of despicably unhinged Lefty misplaced anger:

*Columnist Scott Feinberg called Ginsburg a “hero” whose decision not to retire “helped lead to the destruction” of Roe v. Wade. “Sadly, this will be a big part of her legacy,” he tweeted.

*Podcast host Katie Halper mocked the late justice in a sarcastic tweet. “So glad RBG kept planking instead of retiring from the Supreme Court,” she wrote.

*Rebecca Fishbein, a freelance writer for liberal outlets such as Jezebel and Vice, suggested Ginsburg and President Obama were responsible for this outcome.

*Responding to a tweet sent by the former president blasting the Court’s decision, Fishbein wrote, “hm well maybe someone could have convinced rbg to retire.”

*BILL MAHER SAYS RUTH BADER GINSBURG ‘SHOULD’VE QUIT’ UNDER OBAMA: SHE DIDN’T ‘TAKE THE HINT

*Journalist for The Independent, Skylar Baker-Jordan, griped, “But at least RBG got to die in office.”

*Freelance journalist Eoin Higgins agreed, taking shots at both Ginsburg and Obama for the demise of the abortion precedent.

Wow, isn’t interesting how those on the progressive, socialist side of the coin want to disregard any law that they disagree with but then will trample all over the Constitution and the right of the people when it suits them.

People being held in jail for over a year and a half for the January 6th protests without access to lawyers, phones, doctors and family even if they were not in Washington D.C. on that day. Federal agents raiding the houses of those who criticize the Biden administration.

The President, the attorney general, our governor, our state attorney general, our mayor among others in power all saying that they will not prosecute any person who disobeys the supreme court ruling that makes the Wisconsin 1849 law on abortion in effect.

Gosh, I didn’t know that we are now ruled by an oligarchy.

If you want to change the Constitution, change it in the way the Constitution of the United States or the State of Wisconsin allows it to be changed. That was the problem with the original Roe decision. It completely disregarded the 10th Amendment which reads and I quote:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

The Roe decision was clearly an overreach. Legislation from the bench. Even Ruth Bader Ginsburg, no conservative in any sense of the way, said this decision was deeply flawed.
