Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

A good read for insurrection day

This blogge is enjoying a nice uptick in traffic.
Time to spend a little capital.

If we had one New Year’s wish/fantasy it would be for Ron Johnson, Kevin McCarthy, and Robin Vos to go on Sean Hannity and the radio talk shows to announce that Joe Biden — delusional geriatric that he is — won the election and that Donald Trump is a psychotic, treasonous liar. A grease stain on the party.

The Werkes awaits a book due out this week. The Steal: “the attempt to overturn the 2020 election and the people who stopped it” will arrive at the Stately Manor on Friday — one day after the first anniversary of the failed January 6 insurrection. One chapter focuses on Rohn [pronounced “Ron”] Bishop, then party chairman in Fond du Lac County, the birthplace of the Republican party. We excerpt:

His whole life was wrapped up in his Republican identity. … He named his two daughters after ‘80s conservative icons— Reagan and Maggie, for Britain’s Maggie Thatcher. Beneath the stars and stripes that fly over his driveway is a red 2006 Pontiac with the license plate GOP 4ME.

When Bishop had driven an hour southeast to do door-to-door work in the reliably Republican suburb of Mequon, just north of Milwaukee, he’d seen “Biden” and “Black Lives Matter” signs on front lawns, which shocked him. This was not his grandfather’s Wisconsin anymore.

book cover "The Steal"

As far as Bishop was concerned, Trump had hurt himself badly by discouraging people from voting by mail. When the President had suddenly inveighed against the practice, it came as a surprise to the state’s Republican leaders. Not long before, they had mailed pamphlets to every GOP voter in the state encouraging it, with a picture of Donald Trump on the front giving two thumbs up. Now he was telling Fox News, “I think mail-in voting is going to rig the election, I really do,” later tweeting that it would produce “the most CORRUPT ELECTION in our Nation’s History!”

Bishop countered by urging that the President’s comments be ignored. “It’s such a bad idea to scare our own voters away from a legit way to cast their ballot,” he tweeted. …. He had contradicted the Oracle. It didn’t matter that he made sense. Heresy was heresy…. He told one [radio] interviewer that they had to give the President “a few days” to accept his loss. …

A truck driver called him and screamed at him for helping Democrats steal the election. … The driver was moving through northern Wisconsin and seeing Trump sign after Trump sign. He hadn’t seen any Biden signs. So how could Trump lose Wisconsin?

“Well, do you ever drive your semi in Dane County?” Bishop asked. …

“No,” said the driver.

Bishop suggested that his sample was flawed. …

“You really think Joe Biden got 84 million votes?” [a co-worker] asked.

“Yeah.”

“No f—ing way. He never left his basement.”

“Yeah, that’s right,” Bishop said. “Trump was unpopular enough to drive Democrats to vote for a doormat.” …

In February, months after the state elections commission struggled over whether to certify the election results over the protests of Republican electors, Bishop was reelected to his party chairmanship. His neighbors came out in a blizzard to support him. After all the abuse he had taken for telling the truth, Bishop was touched.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Bishop was subsequently elected to the Waupun city council. Sometimes the truth hurts; occasionally, it is rewarded.

Do you have your own truth?

Do we rend our garments and cry uncontrollably all week, only Jan. 6, or does it last 12 days?

Worse than 9/11, Pearl Harbor, the Holocaust, and the War of 1812 combined!!!!!!

Be sure to watch CNN (aka the child-nooky network) all week for wall-to-wall coverage of the solemn festivities—errrrr, remembrances of this darkest time in our Nation’s history. The day that only the unarmed insurrectionists died while trying to destroy Democracy itself!

Cry, cry, cry! And then cry harder!!!

And be sure to triple-mask and get your 4th shot! Socially distance and shelter in place!!! AAAARRGGHHHH!

  2. Who but nut cases deny 9/11, Pearl Harbor, or the Holocaust? Y’know, AdamC., you could help put January 6 behind my beloved Republican party by stating that the election was NOT stolen and that Trump encouraged and abetted the unsuccessful insurrection. Or was January 6 just spontaneous combustion?

Trying to force statements to be uttered ordersin line with prescribed words in a certain sequence is REALLY beneath you, David.

That is a tactic employed by the “antiracist” woke.

Take responsibility for watching too much 24/7 cable news which is pushing a political narrative that you are buying into. They want everyone to be in mourning the entire week, chanting prescribed word-sequences in hushed tones about a 3-hour beer belly putsch that involved unarmed people and the only ones who died were Trump supporters.

Do you still buy the lies told including that a Capitol police officer was killed by a Trumper with a fire extinguisher, one of countless inflammatory lies about that day, the New York Times quietly retracted it months later.

I am not bowing down to a weird bizarre unholy week being pushed by the Child-Nookie Network to try to help the Dems avoid electoral disaster later this year.

Sorry if you can’t see this for what it is, and if any of my comments cause you an upset stomach that is all on you.

        2. How come a great Patriot such as yourself wasn’t storming the Capitol January 6?

Here is Donald Trump on 01-06-21
I hope Mike is going to do the right thing. I hope so. I hope so. Because if Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election. … All Vice President Pence has to do is send it back to the states to recertify and we become President and you are the happiest people. … [or] we’re stuck with a president who lost the election by a lot and we have to live with that for four more years. We’re just not going to let that happen. … We’re going to have somebody in there that should not be in there and our country will be destroyed and we’re not going to stand for that. ….

Democrats attempted the most brazen and outrageous election theft and there’s never been anything like this. So pure theft in American history. Everybody knows it. … we look at the facts and our election was so corrupt that in the history of this country we’ve never seen anything like it. …

Mike Pence is going to have to come through for us, and if he doesn’t, that will be a, a sad day for our country because you’re sworn to uphold our Constitution. … you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. … With only three of the seven states in question, we win the presidency of the United States. …

… all of a sudden Bill Barr changed. If you hadn’t noticed. I like Bill Barr, but he changed, because he didn’t want to be considered my personal attorney. And the Supreme Court, they rule against me so much. … The Dominion Voting Machines employed in Fulton County had an astronomical and astounding 93.67% error rate. It’s only wrong 93% of the time … You will have an illegitimate president. That’s what you’ll have. And we can’t let that happen.… this election was stolen from you, from me and from the country. … You’re not going to have a Republican Party if you don’t get tougher.

So I hope Mike has the courage to do what he has to do. And I hope he doesn’t listen to the RINOs and the stupid people that he’s listening to. … If we allow this group of people to illegally take over our country because it’s illegal when the votes are illegal when the way they got there is illegal when the states that vote are given false and fraudulent information. … we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.

“…we become President, and you are the happiest people.” And if he had, we would be. Instead we’ve had one year of an administration headed by the 21st century’s answer to Warren G. Harding, a doddering old coot without a single accomplishment to his name despite a lifetime of political insidership, without an original–or even coherent–thought in his head, without the ability to stand up to the political bosses, tech oligarchs, and loony leftists who script his every word. No wonder we’re the saddest (and angriest) people.

Of course, one can debate endlessly about who were the patriots and who were the tyrants on Jan. 6th though that point is firmly settled as far as I’m concerned.

Marking the one-year anniversary President Trump is still fighting the good fight, announcing a preemptive press conference about J6. Tuesday’s truth might be enough to stem the flood of Leftist tears, irrational TDS-fueled hatred, fear and loathing, but I doubt it. Lefties have help.

It’s one thing for bug-eyed liars like AOC or Schiff spewing it was Trump’s “Big Lie” that caused all the violence on 1/6, but with wascuwwy wino wepubwiccans, (H/T: Fudd), Adam Kinzinger and Lizard Cheney on board the hate train,… who really needs dystopian D卐M☭CRATS?

Any normal, regular American must admit that Biden’s inauguration was something usually only seen in some turd-whirled banana republics. It was a historic first for any freely, fairly, and duly-elected president to guard his installation protected by 26,000 armed troops and a 12′ fence topped with concertina wire hastily erected around the Capitol. Quite a celebration, but bad optics.

For the rest of the week we’re going to hear all the spin. span, spun over-heated hate and hyperbole of a msm narrative. It’s all the co-conspirators and willing accomplices the #GetTrump hive-minded media have. Hang on for another hive-minded hate-fest against us.

For the same reason, Antonio Brown, stripped down and threw a hissy fit during the Tampa Bay vs N.Y Jets game. You are entitled to your opinion of the events of that day. You had always been on the fence with Trump even prior to his election. I voted for Cruz in the primary. The people that showed up were never going to stop anything, I saw empty offices filled with people, throwing papers, destroying property. How many fires, bombs, guns, weapons were found on these individuals. Any pocket knives? Were there fun milkshakes, bricks and Molotov cocktails. I could have farted and caused the amount of damage that occurred that day. It was a stain on the party and will be for a while to come but by turning this into something it was not or repeating leftist talking points helps nothing.

Oh boy a makeshift gallows, chanted bad things. No one was ever in serious harms way except for the idiots that partook in the hissy fit. Now we are onto everyday is January 6th, 2021, want a bunch of malarkey. Creating an Insurrection holocaust museum, statues and landmarks. Wait whom were the people that died again. One police officer whom suffered a stroke from natural causes the rest were the undesirables.

Courts decided all Cured Ballots were going count, so they counted. Now it is time for Republicans to start setting up quasi legal ballot harvesting operations if they want to win elections. State Billionaires need to give money to help oversee elections in swing districts since it has now been deemed legal. The party can stay in denial, or use what the courts determined as legal to get the votes to win again. no signatures, no biggy, no addresses no biggy. claiming to be an invalid, claim away. It also helps when they put up candidates that can back there actions up with serious use the English and Spanish language. We may be in fewer numbers than we have ever been but we carry the message they so long to hear.

You ask a couple of very good questions, my friend.
I hope Dave Blaska will try to answer them.
Regardless, this topic is guaranteed to get lots of clicks.

“So why all this strife/rancor amidst the ranks of GOP supporters? Pointing fingers and assigning blame for old bad news is for what future purpose?, you asked.

Maybe it’s therapeutic/cathartic for all the NeverTrumpers, RINOS and end-stage TDS-sufferers to vent all that built-up bile from their venomous spleens.
Maybe Lefties will want to try to “post-presidentially” impeach him again?
Maybe Lefties lemmings want to “taint him with hate, so he won’t score in ’24.”

CORRECTION: Blaska voted Trump/Pence in 2020, Blaska never assaulted a Capitol policeman, Blaska never lied to America about a “stolen election” or that the vice president had the power to overturn an election, Blaska never exhorted his followers to “If we allow this group of people to illegally take over our country because it’s illegal when the votes are illegal when the way they got there is illegal when the states that vote are given false and fraudulent information. … we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” Blaska never promulgated the myth that January 6 was the work of Antifa, Nancy Pelosi, or the FBI, Blaska does not engage in “What-aboutism.”

Because of a lack of integrity, ethics and a dearth/death of investigative journalism in the hive-minded media, I’m pretty sure we’re NOT all acquainted with the facts of J6.

I could be wrong, but it depends on what you read, watch or listen to. You certainly can’t get any unbiased truth from Ms. Media’s MSNBCNN, WaPo or the NYTs.

Here’s a first-hand account and previously unreleased video of The Fedsurrection.
As the dulcent-toned Paul Harvey always said, “Here’s the rest of the story.” :

Julie Kelly @AmericanGreatness has also done yeoman’s, (yeopersons?) work.
She’s done a serious series of stories on the subject. She’s a must-read.

What really scares me in Biden’s New Deep State Dystopian Democracy is that regular, normal American citizens can be held in solitary confinement, without bail, for freely exercising their God-given Constitutional 1st Amendment Right to peacefully assemble for redress of their grievances.
If it really was an “insurrection”, why have none of the protestors been charged with crimes of treason or insurrection? The most with which they’ve been charged, (or, pled out to), is illegal trespass and/or illegal parading.

CORRECTION: Charges include Obstruction of Law Enforcement During Civil Disorder; Obstruction of Justice/Congress; Obstruction of an Official Proceeding; Destruction of Government Property; Conspiracy; Obstruction of an Official Proceeding and Aiding and Abetting; Obstruction of Law Enforcement During Civil Disorder and Aiding and Abetting; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon; Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers Using a Dangerous Weapon; Engaging in Physical Violence in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon; Corruptly Alter, Destroy, Mutilate, and Conceal a Record, Document; Striking, Beating, or Wounding of Another Person within the Territorial Jurisdiction; Engaging in Physical Violence in a Restricted Building or Grounds; etc.

Tempus fugit . Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana. I can hardly believe that it’s been one year since the Democrats in collusion with the FBI/DOJ, Capitol Police and Deep State Confederates (pun absolutely intended) staged a riot at the Capitol building and the #GetTrump media blamed the violence and chaos on President Trump and a few hapless trespassers who are still rotting in jail as guests of the junta, alone and abused.

CORRECTION: 12-17-2021 — Robert Palmer, 54, of Largo, Florida, wept as he told US District Judge Tanya Chutkan that he recently watched a video of his actions that day and could not believe what he was seeing.
“Your honor. I’m really really ashamed of what I did,” he said through tears.
Palmer said in a handwritten letter to the judge that he felt betrayed by Trump and his allies who fed them conspiracy theories.
“Trump supporters were lied to by those at the time who had great power,” he wrote. “They kept spitting out the false narrative about a stolen election and how it was ‘our duty’ to stand up to tyranny.” — Source here.

Upon further review, … most sentient Americans will agree, … Biden cheated.

I think that all this talk about the J-6th insurrection is just a cover up of the things that the Demorats
are now doing. Things like trying to bury the whole Jeff Epstein saga. They also need to bury anything Hunter Biden did as far in the ground as possible. Keeping Kamala’s rather obvious incompetence out of sight is another goal. Finally, keeping the drooling, brain addled dementia patient some call the President under lock and key always is a big help to them.

Whether or not Biden actually won the Presidency or not is still a question to me. Do I think that the Dem’s cheated? Yes! Do I think election laws, particularly in this state were broken. Most definitely! (Think democracy in the park.) Do I think that their cheating won them the election? I don’t know.

Can’t believe what? That 1/6 was an event that stained our country or the rope and chants for hanging Pence? I bet you think Sandy Hook is faked too.

No kidding, Mark+Lemberger. You hit the nail on the head.

Here’s some more good reads for Insurrection Day.
Please consider some other Conservative POVs:

Political violence should always be condemned, but a majority of the people present in Washington, D.C., and on the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6 weren’t violent. Yes, hundreds of people stormed the U.S. Capitol in a riot, but tens of thousands of people of all ages, races, backgrounds, and lifestyles gathered together that day at the Save America Rally to protest the Democrats’ sleazy election manipulation and hear from President Donald Trump. https://thefederalist.com/2022/01/03/peaceful-demands-for-secure-elections-do-not-constitute-insurrection/

      1. “Political violence should always be condemned.” Then why hasn’t Trump done so?
The Federalist, which you quote, called the insurrectionists “lunatics and fools.” Trump calls them “very special people.”

Here are some suggestions for you all from our friends at Babylon Bee

    1) Share your celebration plans with all your friends on Parler: Yes, Parler was shut down by the deep state, but it’s back and still the easiest way to coordinate with federal agents.

    2) Gather the whole family around the TV to watch the big Macy’s Jan 6th Day Parade: This year the balloons are shaped like all your favorite insurrectionists! Yes, even Wacky Podium Guy!

    3) Perform a historical reenactment of the violent, bloody battle by wandering slowly through your city hall, taking photos: The violent surge on our nation’s Capitol can easily be recreated by ages 3 and up. For added flair, open all gates and move barriers to the side in remembrance of the police officers who did exactly that.

    4) Make sure to put out Tang and cookies for Trumpy Claus: He won’t leave a signed check on the podium you stole unless you do.

    5) Hide fraudulent ballots around the house for the kids to find: A great home activity for your young ones. It’s never too early to sow doubt in the democratic system.

    6) Dress up as a buffalo: Dress to impress! The buffalo is the noblest of creatures to be hunted. So majestic.

    7) Gather the family around the fire to relisten to Trump’s speech ordering you to loot, kill, and destroy: Okay, so he explicitly said to be peaceful, but we know what he really meant.

    8) Conduct readings of Pelosi’s written refusal of Trump’s request to have 10,000 National Guard on standby: There may be no record of this refusal, but imagining what it did say makes for a great party game. Your kids will love eating ice cream and pretending to be the House Speaker.

    9) Surround your house with concertina wire and 25,000 national guardsmen for 9 months: If you want to be patriotic you’re going to have to leave those decorations up for the long haul. The razor wire will complement the Christmas lights you forgot to take down anyway.

    10) Just go about your life like 99.9999999% of Trump supporters did last year: It’s what Trump would have wanted.

Remember, have a safe and fun January 6th, patriots! Stop the steal! USA! USA!

  12. In my opinion; this really isn’t the kind of capital that a critically thinking American should be spending when the actual facts prove that there was no “insurrection”.

There are serious national and psychological consequences to sliding down the slippery slope of parroting the word “insurrection” to describe the protest on January 6, 2020 that turned into a riot, using the word “insurrection” is pure political propaganda*. Facts remain facts regardless of propaganda rhetoric; there was no violent attempt to take control of the government of the United States of America and the FBI investigation into what happened on January 6, 2020 has proven that beyond any doubt; in fact, absolutely none of the rioters or anyone else have been charged with “insurrection”.

Using the word “insurrection” to describe the events of January 6, 2020 is legally and morally wrong.

In my opinion; this is a slippery slope that indirectly enables immoral action (see link below) to be pursued based on false accusations and that is something that critically thinking people in the United States, like yourself, should avoid at all cost. Spend your capital wisely.

As I always do; I support the protesters on January 6, 2020, regardless of whether I agree with their reasoning or not just like I have all the other protests across the USA in the last couple of years, but I do not support the riot that took place on January 6, 2020.

If the Progs cannot fantasize over this political panty raid and their existential threat of viruses they’ll have to recognize the failure of Democrats coast to coast. Not a pretty prospect. The Virginia election showed that “Trump! Booga booga!” is not a winning message. What else have they got? The economy?
In the run up to the next election Po’ Slo’ Joe is not gonna get smarter any more than Kamala is gonna get more competent.
When anyone mentions the “Misery Index” of the Trump vs. Biden administrations the Dem response will be “Blame it on Covid”.
    Good luck with that.

you know (not that you mind read but you get the pulse of the other side), I don’t really believe Biden won, though he did. I had more faith in the people of our country (and state) to really seek out answers away from the mainstream media sphere of influence and ask really hard questions when both candidates had a resume that you could refer too. However, they didn’t, and Biden won.

My biggest response to your article is your misrepresentation of the word ‘insurrection”. Not one, NOT ONE, of the people charged have been charged with citing, or conspiring, or any other form of enticing an insurrection. The definition is something, as an educated writer, you should be aware of. Words matter. Be literate and aware of the words you choose. Most of us that do vote are concerned for our nation, and actually pay attention, are watching and listening. STRIKE one to you, sir, for misleading words……….

    1. Mr. G., thanks for weighing in. I only point out that not Robert E. Lee, not Jefferson Davis were ever convicted of insurrection (or treason), although, surely, they insurrected.
