Your to-do list for 2022!
The gray lab coats here at the Policy Werkes (an ornery bunch if ever …) jump started Ol’ Sparky, our Eisenhower-era mainframe computer, fed it kitchen scraps from Christmas dinner, turned the dials all the way to 11, and let the machine shake, rattle and roll overnight. The result: this forward-looking Brave New Year Agenda for 2022 anno domini. In no particular order:
1. Get the Covid vaccine. (Ask for the chocolate mint favor.)
2. Bring Department of Public Instruction into the governor’s appointive cabinet.
3. Delete requirement that school district superintendents possess a doctorate in education.
4. Quit springing repeat criminals on low bail!
5. Elect a reformist Madison school board.
6. Build a new and bigger jail in Dane County.
7. Return control of the classroom discipline to teachers and schools to principals.
8. Reinstate school resource police officers.
9. Abolish the Civilian Police Oversight Board!
10. Greenlight low-cost, modular nuclear power plants in WI.
11. End Mike Gableman’s stolen election snipe hunt.
12. Create a secure residential school locally for delinquent minors.
13. Charge parents when their dependent children commit crimes!
14. Abolish critical race theory and fire all equity and inclusion bureaucrats.
15. Preserve Wisconsin’s old red barns and water mills.
16. Sign that Baltimore back-up quarterback who almost beat the Packers.
17. Build a local political party to counter Progressive Dane.
18. Encourage the Madison Chamber of Commerce to come out of hiding.
19. Construct an architecturally spectacular Catholic diocese cathedral in downtown Madison.
20. Charge hate crime hoaxers (you know who) with hate crimes.
21. Leave Ukraine and Russia to settle things between themselves.
22. Quit blaming Democrats’ poor election results on gerrymandering.
23. Arrest “protesters” who deface public buildings, impede vehicular traffic, trespass on private residences, or shout down public meetings.
24. Remove all racial designations from U.S. Census and other government forms.
25. Defeat Tony Evers and Josh Kaul.
26. Take panhandlers off busy street median strips!
27. Charge Hillary Clinton, James Comey, James Clapper, Adam Schiff et al with criminal conspiracy.
28. Increase unreasonably low speed limits on major thoroughfares to previous levels.
29. Put Blaska on the WI State Journal editorial page advisory board.
30. End government funding of Freedom Inc. and Brandi Grayson’s Urban Triage.
31. Quit renaming that baseball stadium in Milwaukee.
32. Hire an offensive coordinator for the Badger football team who calls the plays.
33. Elect Madison school board at large rather than by seat number.
34. End the mask mandate!
35. Return the Chamberlin rock to the UW-Madison campus and restore Fredric March’s good name.

I understand the frustration driving this but I’m not sure where you’re going with this one.
Charge them with what exactly?
You can’t charge a parent for being an ignorant parent and being stupid is not illegal.
You can only charge people for things they do that are actually illegal.
Do you want to create new laws making parents legally liable for any crime their kids commit because any law such as that would face some serious United States Constitutional challenges.
Maybe there could be some kind of revisions to the “law” as to what is considered criminal neglect in the parent/child relationship but any revisions would have to pass constitutional muster.
I understand the frustration of kids committing loads of crimes and getting nothing more than a polite slap on the wrist but you need to be more specific as to what you actually mean in this case.

Contributing to the delinquency of a minor: is where an adult knowingly encourages a minor to partake in prohibited acts of juvenile delinquency aka illegal/criminal activity.
When that actually occurs, I completely agree!
What about when that doesn’t occur?

Morally, civically and legally responsible for their dependent children doesn’t automatically equate to a parent being criminally responsible for the criminal actions of their dependent children.

I agree and on that note I’d revise that to read…
Make any question regarding race on any form, for any purpose, illegal nation-wide and only allow one exception, individual medical records.
Race should be completely stripped from any consideration for anything therefore any question regarding race must be legally abolished. This is the only moral path to actually achieving the dream of living “in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”.
This is #1 for me, all else will follow when we have a solid moral foundation to build upon.

No time until later for detailed comment but last I knew, #3 on you list is FALSE. I have a Superintendent’s License from DPI…and I am only MA – ABD and 120 cr in Ed Admin so I got a DPI certificate for both Principalship and Superintendent.

Screw #1. Recognize natural immunity for those of us who are amongst the 98% who survived the infection and have the antibodies to prove it. It’s not even a vaccine, just something that is supposed to mitigate symptoms when you eventually do get infected by this now-yearly endemic. (Pretty sly, them re-writing the definition of vaccine after the fact…)

Number 36. Quit blaming innocent drivers who leave their keys in their cars warming them up….it is the criminal who is the blame here, just because their parent told them if it’s not locked up it’s yours is the guilty one here. With a phd u would thunk they would thunk. Quit making the owners the criminals, it’s not working.
