Two juvenile and one adult were arrested. A taser-style weapon was taken from this adult after they attempted to use it on another individual. Members of the crowd attempted to disrupt one of these arrests and pepper spray was required to protect the arresting officers from these individuals and secure the arrest. A police officer incurred a minor injury during the arrest.
Michael Johnson of the Boys & Girls Clubs commented, “You can see from the video that a police officer was kicked in the back by one of the young people out there. Totally inexcusable! Kids can’t even have fun at places like this anymore and it’s not cool what happened last nigh. Those involved should be held accountable for their actions.”
The Madison Police Department requested assistance from our law enforcement partners in the area and eventually 27 officers from at least 5 area law enforcement agencies were on scene. The Madison Fire Department staged ambulances nearby in the event they were needed. All of these resources were necessary to break up the fights, disperse the crowd, and restore order.

School discipline wouldn’t hurt but the solution to feral kids in the black community needs to come from the black community.

How cavalierly that guy assaults a police officer! That is disgusting. Every cop needs a body camera NOW. And assaulting a police officer needs to get you 5 years, no parole. Stop handling these thugs with kid gloves and giving them $1,000 bail. Freedom Inc. will cut the check (with your tax money) and put them on the street within hours.

250 kids engaging in this behavior means 250 families, 250 mothers, 250 fathers (probably 200+ of them absentee) …. all either turning blind eyes to this behavior, or worse, setting the example and encouraging lawlessness, fighting, mob violence, and attacking officers.
No amount of money, no white liberal do-gooders and race-shaming apologies, is going to fix this.
If this behavior happened in some white enclave, the white progressive would turn into Bull Connor in 2 seconds flat.
Never mind that most of the kids are probably not vaccinated or masked.
As long as this happens in a rundown dumpy warehouse in a chainlink-fence enclosed concrete wasteland off Verona Rd. South of the Beltline, far enough from the Monroe-Dudgeon lovingly restored Craftsman homes, that’s acceptable to Sharon, Karen, Barb, Bill, Dave, and Steve as they tsk-tsk about systemically racist oppression at their wine-and-cheese party.

Your vignette of Madison’s liberal elites is spot-on (in fairness, I suppose one should admit that they’re the easiest of targets). These are the same people who funded the racist mural just of Monroe Street–the one the local media gushed over like it was a long-lost Picasso. I often wonder how they manage to look at themselves in the mirror without letting out a howl of existential despair.

There is no social program or amount of money that will fix this problem. Leftists say they care about black people, yet they refuse to promote strong families. This is the ONE factor that can change the trajectory of people’s lives.
You’re also right of course, about limousine liberals not tolerating this behavior in their own neighborhoods.
Let’s introduce low cost housing in Monroe-Dudgeon then watch as the excuses pour from the limousine liberals on why it’s a bad idea. For an area that preaches “diversity & inclusion” they should be welcoming this. Hypocrites.
Lovingly restored Craftsman homes. I don’t see the attraction of that area. I know the limousiners probably think it’s tres chic Bohemian, with the exception of a few newer buildings & businesses, it looks run-down to me.

These are the people who found lights on a high school football field intolerable because it disrupted, however negligibly, their perfect little lives. Imagine how they’d react to the prospect of living next to the people they “champion” … from a safe distance.

Never in my life would I ever think to hitting a Police Officer. I grew up with the respect for the law and all of my elders. First starting with God and His Son Jesus, my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, couches, I was told the difference between right and wrong.
I am deeply saddened by the now unescapable fact that many of my fellow citizens do not know the difference between right and wrong.

Maybe have BLM. Freedom Inc , Urban Triage & any other “Defund the Police “ people volunteer ( not get paid) to supervise these little “cherubs” at public places. It would be an interesting experiment. And they couldn’t call the police. They should find out what it would mean to not have police officers.

It’s not uncommon for police from neighboring communities to respond jointly, in fact, it’s SOP.
In dealing with gang wildings and feral behavior, the enforcement arm of the law, … the police, … must be used. Using soft-on-crime social service solutions in order to get social justice, is a recipe for disaster. Appeasement just allows more criminal behavior.
To stop bad behavior, it must be confronted, … head-on and harshly, … not enabled.
Those who gather around to beat a fallen officer are angry, because for the first time in their lives, someone has had the audacity to tell them “no.” The police may be the only real authority and/or disciplinarian they’ve ever known, and it fills them with rage.
In the absence of the police backed up by strong city government, … not the kind that currently exists in the glorious People’s Republic of Makistan, … radical racists would destroy the city. Decent normal, regular Makistanis would cower in their homes, defending themselves as best as they could and waiting for a policeman who never shows up. The weak, the elderly, the disabled, the poor and minority communities would be the hardest hit by roaming gangs of thugbuggerists. More “no-go autonomous zones” would spring up, each ruled by a murderous warlord heading a small legion of heavily armed progressive predators.
One thing is certain, before blacks can become fully franchised and share in the promise of America, they’ll have to reestablish the basic building block of society, … the black nuclear family, shuck off their stylin’ victimhoodies and reject the smothering, infantalizing custodial patriarchy of Progressive Plantation.
For your own freedom, don’t just BLEXIT and walk away from the Democrat Party,… RUN.
