No man is an island, unless he lives in Dane County, Mr. Donne. The Madison WI metro area plays by its own rules — the science be damned!
The federal Centers for Disease Control (there’s more than one, apparently) say (plural) take off your facemasks if you are fully vaccinated! The State of Wisconsin Department of Health says “The science is clear: if you are fully vaccinated, you are protected.”
Not so fast, the 550,000 residents of Dane County. Surrounded by too much reality, the Madison area holds out like that clueless Japanese soldier on a forgotten Pacific atoll. Never mind those “Science Is Real” signs. Or that Dane County is the most vaccinated populous county in the nation! Zero-risk Dane County says keep wearing the mask.

Buried deep within his beat-up wallet, the head groundskeeper at the Werkes carries a frayed card that attests that his veins are pumping Moderna mRNA vaccine (mint chocolate flavored). The Covid-19 Get-Out-of-Facemask-Jail-Free card is wedged in with the just-renewed state Concealed Carry card. Freedom these days comes via a government-issued card, apparently.
You know the thing (as President Biden would say): The head groundskeeper hereabouts sees no scenario where he would ever show such a card or frequent any place that would dare demand their production. So, how can anyone tell? Who wants to make Blaska Dane County’s test case?
Nonetheless, we are certain that years from now, we’ll espy some idiot bicycling on the John Nolen causeway past Lake Monona fully masked. Facemasks have become a partisan fashion statement like those multi-lingual “No One is Illegal” yard signs and BLM bumper stickers. A sign of faith-based belief, like the Hindoo’s red dot on the forehead or Catholics’ Ash Wednesday cross.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Like the early feminists burning bras, we feel the local Republican party (it does exist but we won’t betray their whereabouts) missed a beat by not staging a public mask burning.

David Hogg’s statement is unbridled political bigotry. It’s as if Hogg thinks that not wearing a mask is the 21st century’s version of the Scarlett Letter identifying only those “evil” Conservatives. This is the kind of thinking that eventually leads to justifying political persecution. This ignoramus has become the social media equivalent to a modern progressive politician.
This is the United States of America you can wear a mask outside or not, it’s your choice, I won’t judge you either way. Just be courteous and respectful of those around you.

The mask has become a symbol of virtue to some people. They portray themselves as more caring & compassionate because they wear a mask even if no one is around them.
I will wear one in businesses that require them . But Dane County rules are just going to confuse people. God save us from the regressive Progressives.

Even with Wal-Mart and Costco lifting the mask mandate for the vaxxed, we’re still relying on people’s honesty. If someone asks you, “Are you vaccinated?” , you should answer, “‘Nonya’. As in, ‘It’s nonya bidness’. Asking violates HIPPA laws.”
Viruses are very, very small. Your home made stylish face diaper won’t protect you from a virus. Hoping a mask will protect you is like putting up a chain link fence to keep out mosquitos.
The “science” hasn’t changed, just our attitudes, and now, thankfully, our behavior. Too many pansy-ass, proglobotic portsiders preemptively surrendered their freedoms and blindly obeyed their elite masters voices. Low-flow, lemming-like Lefty Luddites change back to normal much more slowly. When the “woke” realize we’re no longer listening or obeying their mandates, they’ll finally figure out they’re the ones being canceled. And once we regular, normal people finally find freedom again, it will be exponentially much harder to impose another massive (governmental or corporate) Covid-control mandate due to this proggy pandemic. Fool me once shame on you, … fool me twice shame on me.
We might even develop herd immunity to the silliness of group think.

As much as I love listening to the birds of the air as I sit and drink my coffee before work, I know that my Father in Heaven thinks of me, my poor excuse for a human being, is worth far more then they are.

Absolutely ludicrous. But not really surprising, as evidenced by solo masked cyclists/joggers onna bike paths, cars onna Beltline, windows rolled up & masks on. A shame that Festa Italia hadda give up this year -so close! But social distancing rules took precedence, even tho, as noted in the Blog, this county is quite secure in its VAX count. Further shame? Festa encourages me to park my ’58 ALFA Veloce inna grass by George Fabian’s famous scooter. One or both or 3 could be missin’ in subsequent years…

So now we have the CDC coming out and saying that it is okay to not wear masks if you have been vaccinated. But despite that statement from the CDC, we here in Wisconsin still have to wear masks. Why is that so?
Why is that so when in the State of Florida they have been open for business and the schools have been open since August and restaurants have been open since the fall of last year. There is no “mask mandate” in Florida.
Why is that?
Why is there such freedom in Florida when we in Wisconsin have been regulated to death with mask mandates. We have now come to the point of covid fatigue.

Face it folks, we now have the worst President and the worst Governor we could ever have. In less than 6 months we are trillions of dollars in debt, our national boarders are a open door to anyone wanting to come into this country, we are now teaching critical race theory in our schools to our school children, that is the most racist theory I can think of. The idea of critical race theory has been discredited for years. Even Dr. Martin Luther King made this statement: “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” I was a little boy when Dr. King made that speech. It left a powerful impression on me as I could not see any difference between me and the friends that I had who were of a different color other than they were of another color than I. Girls were girls and boys were boys and there were good people and bad people.
So why are we now teaching our children to judge others based on the color of their skin?
So why are we teaching this bullshit now in our schools? Why is governor mask mandate so concerned about us having to continue to wear a mask rather than the racist theory that teaches our children to judge others by the color of their skin?

Lefties have more than an affinity for masks, they have a true love affair. A mask your virtue-signaling obedience to the government. It creates faceless Americans, devoid of personality, following orders from all-knowing “expert” health officials.
The absurdity of wearing a mask has always been apparent to anyone who examines the rules.
Why should we obey the so-called experts when they’ve been so wrong so often. It’s ridiculous to wear a mask into a restaurant, then several feet away, take it off at a table for several hours, only to place it back on for a few seconds to leave. It’s not based on any scientific or health studies, none of that “sciencey” science that Lefty worships as his idolatrous god.
Fortunately, more Americans are becoming woke, rising up and demanding this nonsense ends.
We should end this quackery just as quickly as the mandates were imposed.
At this point, healthy Americans should not be wearing a germ-laden mask. It should be worn only by those who are elderly and/or have serious health conditions. It is time for the healthy and vaccinated people to put the mask away. If we see any wokescold Lefty Karens wearing a mask outdoors, while exercising or riding in their Pious all alone, … it’s time to ridicule and mock them, … for they’re being truly usefoolish tools.
Lefties are quite willing to submit to government authorities, while Conservatives and Libertarians are more Independent minded, enjoy their freedoms and have a tradition of questioning authority.
Going from mandatory mask wearing, isolating oneself for two weeks to flatten the curve, … to “may vee zee your vax/travel papiers, please?”, so quickly is truly amazing in a free America.

GDHM: Wearing a mask outdoors is a personal choice which does no harm. Some people have immune system problems and can’t take the vaccines. If a Tom, Dick, Harry or anyone else mocks them, they have a perfect right to return the ridicule.
