What critical race theory is really about

Marxism!

for our attention-deficit readers

To explain critical race theory, it helps to begin with a brief history of Marxism. Originally, the Marxist left built its political program on the theory of class conflict. Karl Marx believed that the primary characteristic of industrial societies was the imbalance of power between capitalists and workers. The solution to that imbalance, according to Marx, was revolution: The workers would eventually gain consciousness of their plight, seize the means of production, overthrow the capitalist class and usher in a new socialist society.

During the 20th century, a number of regimes underwent Marxist-style revolutions, and each ended in disaster. Socialist governments in the Soviet Union, China, Cambodia, Cuba and elsewhere racked up a body count of nearly 100 million people. They are remembered for gulags, show trials, executions and mass starvations. Marx’s ideas unleashed man’s darkest brutalities.

Abandoning Marx’s economic dialectic of capitalists and workers, they substituted race for class and sought to create a revolutionary coalition of the dispossessed based on racial and ethnic categories.

The theory is just so “cheugy.”

I think that the following words give a clear picture of what critical race theory is all about.

From the New York Post story: “Critical race guru Ibram X. Kendi, who directs the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University, has proposed the creation of a federal Department of Antiracism. This department would be independent of (i.e., unaccountable to) the elected branches of government and would have the power to nullify, veto or abolish any law at any level of government and curtail the speech of political leaders and others deemed insufficiently “antiracist.”

One practical result of the creation of such a department would be the overthrow of capitalism, since, according to Kendi, “in order to truly be antiracist, you also have to truly be anticapitalist.”

In other words, identity is the means; Marxism is the end.”

So some group of unelected, unaccountable people can change any law in the United States government or any other level of government at their whim. They can also shut down the speach by any person who is “deemed insufficiently antiracists”.

In addition, they want to abolish capitalism which means the abolition of private property. Your property! That does not necessarily mean your house. This could also mean your car, your bank accounts, your retirement accounts. The engagement ring you gave your then girlfriend, now your wife. Property potentially means anything you own.

    WOW!

Unfortunately growing wealth inequality is a real thing so something must be done. If we sit on our hands much longer that “something” is likely to be Marxism. Jordan Peterson says it’s hierarchies that create inequalities, not capitalism ( see his short talk with Dr. Oz).

Personally I think the Chinese may be doing it right. We’ll see.

Ask the Uyghurs what they think about this.

What Marxism and all the other utopian schemes for human perfection lack is an understanding of human nature in all its multifarious IMperfections. Capitalism developed first and lasted longest because it taps into basic human wants, needs, and motives–and because it depends upon the basic freedoms that make us human. Can it be improved? Yes. Can it be replaced by theories that depend on coercion and uniformity? Yes, but only temporarily … until the human need for freedom and individual agency inevitably reasserts itself.

Here is a talk by Jordan Peterson that explains in some detail on why marxism is wrong. The class struggle existed long before capitalism was even thought of. It also has existed in the animal kingdom since the begining of time.

It is a good talk, and gives a lot of information in 30 minuets.

Sorta “off-topic” but I must say the NY Post has grown bigly in my opinion, from the reputation it has had in prior years. Honest and accurate and mostly just REPORTING NEWS. No advocacy, no agenda.

Here is another aspect of the insane idea of critical race theory. The organization, America First Legal group. https://www.aflegal.org has pointed out that the Biden administration wants to give the majority of relief funds out to black and other minority restaurant and bar owners who have been hurt by lack of sales due to covid-19, but not so much to white restaurant and bar owners who have been hurt by lack of sales due to covid-19.

This is predicated primarily on the color of their skin.

That in addition to giving relief funds to black restaurant and bar owners, the Biden Department of Education “intends to impose critical race theory on all U.S. schools.” (National Review)

Here is an interview with Stephen Miller who is the head of the organization, America First Legal group, about these totally insane ideas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e20rJksy3gM

It appears that Joe first introduced the restaurant relief idea way back in January when he stood in front of the t.v. cameras as President Elect Joe Biden and talked about how he would give relief funds to minorities first. (More here.)

Joe’s lips to your ears; you heard the man, in his own words he has told you what he is. I think it can now be said that Joe Biden should not be called “sleepy Joe Biden”. No, instead he should be called “Commie Joe Biden”! This crap is straight out of the Communist Manifesto.

Face it folks, we now have a Communist and a Communist administration running America.

I wonder. If I see myself as a black woman who owns a restaurant instead of a white guy who works for a living, can I get some relief from the government? Can I say that this critical race theory does not apply to me as a black woman restaurant owner? After all, if boys can play competitive sports on a girls team because they see their gender identity as a girl, then why can’t I change my race, gender and occupation?

I mean if you want to say that pigs have wings and can fly, why can’t I?

From memory, which is a bit rusty on this subject, though it looks like I will have to get those memories better lubricated, Marx was anti-bourgoisie, which was the middle class of his time. The workers were exhorted to rise up against the bourgoisie, not the ruling class, some of whom were directly funding Marx’s work.
This same scenario is being played out today. The people making the rules and funding the protests are very safely ensconced in their gated ultra-mansions while the middle class – small businesses, people who work for a living – are being gutted.
