Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

They teach our children

how to fail.

One almost hopes that our public schools do NOT reopen after the coronavirus pandemic, given the destructive brainwashing therein.

Which is why Deb Kerr has a capital idea. If elected as the statewide school marm on April 6, she would yank the WI Department of Public Instruction out of the progressive playground of Madison and scatter it to the four corners. Places like Bonduel, Patch Grove, Ogdenburg, Moose Junction. Places with woodsheds.

Problem is our schools of education churn out thousands of super-Woke versions of Jennifer Cheatham. It’s not just Harvard, where the guilty White woman landed, or the University of Wisconsin-Madison but every education department from Superior to Parkside. Talk about your super spreaders!

UPDATE AND CORRECTION: We have removed the photo of a Verona middle school teacher. Verona schools got back to us and said her T-shirt was supposed to represent “For the Culture.” The first line of the T-shirt (which was partially obscured on the right side) read: “F [ Black power fist ] R” not “F [ fist ] K.”

 A teachable moment

Today’s Hero in the Spotlight (a new and short-lived feature of the Werkes) is U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman, R-WI. This true intellectual is being “called out” by identity politicians for opposing legislation that disincentivizes marriage.

“I know the strength that Black Lives Matter had in this last election. I know it’s a group that doesn’t like the old-fashioned family.”

Rep. Grothman is saying the same thing that U.S. Sen. Patrick Moynihan, a Democrat from New York, said 55 years ago. The Moynihan Report warned that the hoped-for gains from the Civil Rights Act of 1964 would not materialize unless the disintegration of the Black family were not reversed. In the vernacular of 1965:

“The Negro family in the urban ghettos is crumbling. … So long as this situation persists, the cycle of poverty and disadvantage will continue to repeat itself.”

So did Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.:

“The group consisting of mother, father and child is the main educational agency of mankind.”

Not the WI DPI?

Always the most courageous person in any room, Grothman is correct about the official Black Lives Matter organization. Until it was recently scrubbed, the organization’s website declared:

“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement …”

Glenn T. Stanton in The Federalist confirms:

BLM, as an organization, seeks to dismantle the very institution that mountains of published academic research has consistently demonstrated as most likely to strengthen and empower Black Americans and their children: the traditional, nuclear family.

Blaska’s Bottom LineDestroying the family is even more destructive than BLM’s other major goal of abolishing police.

Know any conservative teachers?

All Idjits, Yep, I had a candidate come to my door her main selling point was she is about Equity. I basically asked her one question, did you vote for the presidential candidate that supported equal opportunity for all or for the one that guaranteed equal outcomes for all. She said I voted for Biden, I responded by saying you chose poorly and please kindly leave my property and do not expect my vote. so far no spray paint or windows broken… yet. I did the same thing when Christine Taylor came to our house way back when she was running for state legislator in our district.

Actual liberals in Madison who still have a pulse and a few working brain neurons should reflect carefully on the hysterical screeching directed at Rep. Grothman for simply quoting one of BLM’s core founding principles, namely dismantling the traditional family including a refusal to even use the word “father” in their manifesto!

Of course the screeching and howling critics cannot erase the simple fact that 70 to 80 % of Black children live in homes without a father.

THIS is the real problem. THIS is their “culture” and the fallout is severe and costly for all of us but particularly for children.

No amount of Big Daddy Joe spending, laws, or executive orders can help this situation.

The screechers and howlers know this truth deep down inside, and it’s why they screech and howl.

A lot of the screeching and howling you mention stems from BLM’s horror that if one person stands up against their bullying, others might follow (not in Madison, of course). Let’s hope Rep. Grothman doesn’t follow the usual script and offer a groveling public apology for speaking truth to power.

Coming soon to a classroom near you:

Today we have an episode from Democracy Prep, a public charter school in Las Vegas, Nevada. William Clarke attends the school. He lives with his mother, Gabrielle (above), who is biracial. She works at a local fast food restaurant. All Democracy Prep seniors are required to take what is clearly a Critical Race Theory and intersectionality-based class called Sociology of Change. In that “re-education” class, William and all the other students, were told to openly declare their race, gender, religious, and sexual identities. The next step was to attach negative labels to those identities, after which students were instructed to “undo and unlearn” their “beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that stem from oppression.”

William has has light skin and green eyes, and is the only student in his class that might be called “white.” He is actually mixed-race, and did not feel he should have to declare himself “privileged.” As a consequence, he was given an F for the course, which prevented him from graduating.

        Saw this on Tucker.

Refusing to graduate a student because he won’t submit to the mob? So much for free thought.

        Hope the family sues.

    Dave,
I have a kid in the Madison school district, where so little is expected. I was communicating recently with a teacher – one who I respect and is old-school. This person said: “I won’t go on about ….current policies on expectations… but you would not be happy. Kids can just do whatever and we are supposed to accept it. How are they going to function outside of school? There are circumstances, of course, for some students, but we are treating all kids like they are not capable. I had a special ed teacher tell me that she doesn’t “believe in rigor”. What? I about fell over.”
They’re doing a terrible disservice to the kids by lowering expectations.

      Tony,

That’s terrifying, and you’re correct in that they’re shortchanging these kids.

“I don’t believe in rigor.” Jesus. How are these kids going to compete in our growing global economy? What will this mean for the country’s future?

If Grothman had three baby mommas your criticism would have some merit.

His point is 100% valid and although many would never publicly admit it, despite their screeching and howling they know it is truth.

        1. I’d concur if Grothman were able to see that in forms of marriage, sadly he does not. (Stands back and waits for the strike… 🙂

I’m married without kids, yet see that the trend of abandoning the traditional family is destroying this country. It’s not rocket science.

Marriage and kids is not for everyone. If someone truly doesn’t want that from life after careful consideration, it’s their choice and they shouldn’t be shamed.

We should be alarmed however, that people in positions of power are actually advocating against the same traditions that help create healthy humans and a prosperous nation.

Ask yourself WHY eftists against marriage and why they feel the need to disincentivize it.

It is not THE only problem, but I agree it is a real problem amongst most families that tend to stay poor in the united states from one generation to next generation. Life is hard and raising children is not easy for most of us. But the thought of doing it without another a partner whomever it is seems almost unimaginable to me.

Most of this began with LBJ’s “Great Society.” Most of us have heard some of his infamous quotes. Just compare some of the “stats” from the 60s, to the current figures.

“The group consisting of mother, father and child is the main educational agency of mankind.”

Why is this concept so difficult for elitist progressives?

They preach “follow the science” yet ignore strong evidence that a solid foundation early in a child’s life will greatly impact outcomes later in life.

It’s easier to blame other people for your own problems, but it’s also the cheap way out. Limousine liberals & race hustlers are doing a huge disservice to Black Americans and to ALL Americans with their phony wokeness.

Why does public education exist at all if its only goal is to keep children ignorant, create SJW wokescolds and promote proglobotic propaganda? That is not a rhetorical question; I honestly want to know. What is the purpose of public school if no one will be taught that 2+2=4? Or worse, that the correct answer to 2+2 is racist? The answer is obvious: public school is to indoctrinate, … not teach.

Thomas Sowell said it better, “It’s not that Johnny can’t read, … it’s that Johnny can’t think.”

I once heard a sobering story about how Russian communists had mis-educated generations of schoolchildren. These kids learned nothing about history, science, math, art, literature, comparative world religions or anything else useful. They simply were taught communist propaganda for their entire young lives. How, …. please tell me how, … does this differ from what is currently happening in the American public education system?

Full disclosure: Mrs. GDHM taught for MMSD until she got fed up with the radical Leftist indoctrination, and she was able to retire.

      Good Dog, Happy Man,
Your comment read in part: “I once heard a sobering story about how Russian communists had mis-educated generations of schoolchildren. I have found a really good channel on youtube that teaches history. https://www.youtube.com/c/HouseofHistory/videos. History, like what happened in Russia after Stalin took over. Two video’s in particular stand out.

      1. Prelude to the Great Purge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjfnRBTdKGo
      2. Stalin’s Great Purge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jil4OCsxT_U

After reading about both events and reading the “Gulag Archipelago” by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, and a book called “With God in Russia” by Father Walter Ciszek, along with many other books about this topic; these video’s are a prelude of what is coming next in our country.

The godless among us want the state to become God. The founders of BLM are all trained Marxists. BLM along with other Marxist organizations want to take over this country. In order to do so they will have to make the state, or one man God, and remove all other religions as they would compete with their God.

But in doing so they don’t realize what the natural progression of things to happen once they have achieved their goal. Only one person will be the new God. And in order to achieve that goal many others who are vying for that position will have to be eliminated.

Even those who carried out the mission of eliminating those who vied for that position will be eliminated. This will be the fate of the fools who are presently trying to tear down this nation.

      Why can’t they see this?

Just look through the eyes of history.
