This blogge lacks ‘important context’ for moral clarity!
“Calling it progressive to send children of color the message that achievement is White is an irony lost on the woke.” — William McGurn, Wall Street Journal.
Training seminar instructs Coca Cola workers to be “less white.” (Read & Weep!)
Muppet Show comes with trigger warnings! (Babylon Bee does it better.)
Bari Weiss bailed out of the New York Times and its prison camp of Stalinist groupthink in2017. Now she writes a blogge called “Common Sense.” Like Jefferson’s fireball in the night, Ms. Weiss reminds Americans:
“Something morally grotesque is swallowing liberal America.
Almost no one wants to risk talking about it out loud.”
We do, here at Blaska Policy Werkes. It’s called “identity politics.” It has taken hostage entire school buildings and elected councils of government in cities across America — from Madison WI to Portland OR and back to Baltimore MD.
It ruins careers and silences speech. It yanks Abraham Lincoln from his pedestal. Substitutes a numeral for schools named after George Washington. Demands a huge boulder deposited by a glacier thousands of years ago be scooped off UW-Madison’s Bascom Hill because someone in the 1920s referred to it with a slang racial term.
Thousands upon thousands of dollars are wasted on corporate re-education camps in which your very denial of racism is proof of your racism. Law enforcement spins the revolving door ever faster lest richly deserved punishment be adjudged disproportionate by the externalities of epidermis.
Ms. Weiss relates the story of a low-level dormitory staffer, salary $45,000 — at prestigious Smith College, where the tuition is approximately double her salary. This is Jodi Shaw’s story:
In July 2018, the culture war arrived at our campus when a student accused a white staff member of calling campus security on her because of racial bias. The student, who is black, shared her account of this incident widely on social media, drawing a lot of attention to the college.
Before even investigating the facts of the incident, the college immediately issued a public apology to the student, placed the employee on leave, and announced its intention to create new initiatives, committees, workshops, trainings, and policies aimed at combating “systemic racism” on campus.
“Shaw was required to attend a mandatory Residence Life staff retreat focused on racial issues. The hired facilitators asked each member of the department to respond to various personal questions about race and racial identity. When it was my turn to respond, I said “I don’t feel comfortable talking about that.” I was the only person in the room to abstain.
“Later, the facilitators told everyone present that a white person’s discomfort at discussing their race is a symptom of “white fragility.” They said that the white person may seem like they are in distress, but that it is actually a “power play.”
‘In this environment, people’s worth as human beings, and the degree to which they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, is determined by the color of their skin.’
The Bottom Line goes to Jodi Shaw:
“Under the guise of racial progress, Smith College has created a racially hostile environment in which individual acts of discrimination and hostility flourish. …. It is an environment in which dissenting from the new critical race orthodoxy — or even failing to swear fealty to it like some kind of McCarthy-era loyalty oath — is grounds for public humiliation and professional retaliation.”
I’m going to say this outright…
RACIST: a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group.
1. If I’m considered a white supremacist and/or racist simply because I was born a white person, then black people are equally black supremacist and/or racist because they were born a black person.
2. Those that tell white people that they are a white supremacist and/or racist simply because they were born a white person are in fact being racist.
3. Those that call others racist without verifiable evidence to support the accusation are immoral racist hacks.
I have zero, and I do mean zero tendencies towards white supremacist and/or racist beliefs. When I see racism from others I call them out for their immoral behavior; and equally, when people are called white supremacist and/or racist without actual evidence to support the accusation I call out that immoral behavior too. I have zero tolerance for racism and zero tolerance for unsupported accusations of racism.
If others don’t like how I express things regarding race they can piss up a rope.

Well, you said it with a lot more eloquence than most. I’m sure the race baiters would still find fault with your statements. And, if so, I agree with the rope thing.

Do ya think? According to them, denying your own racism is one of the most racist things you can do. Projecting racism onto the oppressed, who are INCAPABLE of racism is worse. And now you guys are talking about ROPES? (I don’t even want to touch that!!)

Dave, none will speak out against, save yourself. To speak out against it will get one canceled from their group. For the local political leaders membership in that group is inseparable from their self identity.

No elected or appointed political leader will ever speak out against this. They have nothing to gain and everything to lose, which certainly would be the case if they did.

Jodi Shaw – Former Smith College Employee “Twitter” post:
“Hey everyone GoFundMe has placed my fundraiser under review and there is now a hold on *all* funds. I fear it is for ideological reasons. If so, it shows what we are up against. For now, please donate through my PayPal.”
You can Dang well bet that GoFundMe will apply no warnings to Tony Robinson’s grandmother when she eventually relies on free buck to re-open the case. Earlier, they applied no warnings to the Tony Robinson’s families successful attempt to extort a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the City of Madison….
So I’m kinda doubtful that any weasels in WI politics will have the courage or wits to speak out. Pretty perilous these days for ANY of the non-Woke population.

Never respond or react to this. It’s not about getting along, doing better, solving problems, healing (lol) or whatever. It’s about placating the tribe and humiliation of everyone else. How many single/no children/30 something/went to college but average IQ/votes democrat white women spend their time spewing this stuff out onto the net? Far more supply than demand. It’s its own genre at this point and only they consume it. Where do they get the time? Oh yea, they’re in their 30s, single, and have no children.

Spew they may, but many childless aging white women who reinforce the woke sludge either don’t realize, or secretly fear, that they themselves will be the target of the antiwhite woke brigade.
Jodi Shaw is incredibly brave, a lifelong liberal who spoke up and got punished by her alma mater and employer. She was a lone voice of courage speaking out against the antiwhite racist neo-McCarthyites and has many allies at Smith — unfortunately almost all of them (including tenured faculty) are so fearful they remain anonymous.

Dave asks Who do YOU think will be the first Madison WI political leader
to speak out against it?
* It will not be Tommy Thompson.
* It will not be a member of the Department of History.
* It will not be Tony ‘Nevers.’
READ this as a sufficient remedy and as an alternative to self-flagellation.

For months the denizens of this blog have discussed/debated the “conspiracy theories” of the Right. (justification or lack of for actions, Q-Anon et al, RINO plots, etc.) Sometimes hard feelings were in evidence on both sides. Finally something we can all agree on. (cue music)- “Let the healing begin”
Today we peer over the fence into the Left’s backyard and see the greatest “conspiracy theories” ever foisted on humanity.
GUESS WHAT !!
Trump is not going to “spring the trap”, assume the Presidency, and send Nancy, Chuck, Joe and Kamala to prison.
BUT, neither will-
The White majority assert their “superiority” to subjugate all the races, using Police “death squads” against dissenters. Nor will they undertake the wholesale destruction of the planet. Nor will they criminalize the the behaviors, and very existence, of the LGBQT……. people. NONE of the unhinged predictions of the left would (or could) come to pass.
The people who fabricate this CRAP (not my first word choice), know that it is CRAP (again not my…). The purpose of it ALL is to (1) provoke aggressive reactions from the believers, and (2) force EVERYONE else to “go along” with it, or at least NOT speak out against it.
The degree of compliance, from all facets of society, that we are now seeing, means that it is “too late”. (we are doomed!)
I’ll see you all in the gulag, there’s no toilet paper. (unless you have the potatoes to pay for it)

re Conspiracy Theories-
As to reports of all Progressives, (Nancy, Hillary, Chuck, etc among them), being actually alien shape-shifting reptiles, I will allow the preponderance of evidence to speak for itself.

By the way, the “conspiracy theory” that Antifa provocateurs were part of the Capitol riot last month was CONFIRMED today by Capitol Police Chief Sund in sworn testimony in the US Congress.
There is broad consensus that the riot was planned in advance. I want to know why BLM activist John Sullivan is going to apparently get away scot-free despite being one of the first people to get inside the Capitol. He is heard on his own video egging others on and celebrating the breach. He also filmed close up the shooting death of Ashli Babbitt.
Why was a known BLM activist from Utah there that day? And you expect me to buy some cockamamie explanation that he just happened to saunter in, or perhaps suddenly became hardcore MAGA overnight? Or that he was the only BLM/Antifa provocateur present that day?
Come on man.

Roger that,
Liberals will take your money because “you won’t spend it right”. Liberals will tell you how to live your life because “you won’t live it right”. Now, they show up at your “riot” because you won’t “do it right”
Never underestimate the importance to the media to have a major news story on that ONE DAY. The idea that leftists would assist in that end should come as no surprise.

And Sullivan got paid for his video by CNN and MSNBC to the tune of $75,000.
I’m afraid we will NEVER get a reasonable explanation for that.

In this day and age of proglobots playing identity politics, it’s not the color of your skin that’s important, rather it’s the thickness of your epiderrmis that’s more important. Most normal
Proglibocrats preach, “Judging someone on the basis of age, race or sex is wrong. What can’t you old, white men understand about it?
Lefftis aren’t too self-reflective, are they?
If every one looks different, but thinks the same, …. that’s not real diversity.

David, you hit the nail on the head with this column. You call it “identity politics.” I call it “creeping McCarthyism.” (Except that these days “creeping” might more accurately be replaced by “galloping.”)

is on Coke.
I don’t know about Coke being racist, …
but I do know how to drink RC or Pepsi.
I’ll just have to go back to using baking soda to clean my battery terminals.

Coke may have had other intentions to this training but I honestly don’t know why it would be a good idea to say to it’s employees to be less white. I was born white but it doesn’t mean I’m evil. It just shows how I appear to the rest of the world. My actions should determine my character. You all have good excellent ideas and opinions on here and having the healthy conversation is what I’m here for. 🙂
