Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Sorry, no good news today, either

We have a few theories

We remain intrigued by the Far Left’s challenge against incumbent Ald. Sheri Carter in District 14 on the city’s south side. They’re putting up Brandi Grayson, the cop-hater with a bullhorn.

Madison progressives define “insurrection” depending on who is doing the insurrection-ing. Fire bombing the city-county building isn’t sedition? Wrecking the Capitol grounds? Chasing the elected school board into the night?

⇒ “Brandi Grayson will determine your degree of racism.” (While you wait? Does she have no-contact drive-through?)

Grayson belongs on the Common Council because her “theoretical foundation is centered on Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome.” Or so we are told by a supporter in the 01-14-21 WI State Journal. This supporter is no doubt suffering from Post-Traumatic Glacial Erratic Rock Syndrome.

Blaska wonders if he has a theoretical foundation. If we ever had a mantra we’ve forgotten it. Still trying to figure out Facebook. We did have a slogan, stolen from the great stage actress Lynn Fontaine: “I can be bought, but I cannot be bored.” We’ve replaced it with: “Don’t piss me off!”

  • We hear that Ald. Barbara McKinney Harrington suffered a medical incident last night 01-13-21. Undergoing heart surgery today. A speedy recovery is in order.
  • About Covid-19, we’re at the stage where if you’ve got an arm, hold it out and get the shot. Enough wasting time on who should stand where in line.
  • About that Impeachment, Part 2. It is never going to be sent over to the Senate. Pelosi has made her point. Trump and his hardcore couldn’t resist feeding ammunition.
  • Do watch Disney/Pixar’s movie Soul. Heart-warming, funny, futuristic, and lovable animation. An uplifting, It’s a Wonderful Life kind of message. That’s our good news for the day.

What is YOUR theoretical foundation?

Slavery was outlawed in America nearly two centuries ago. It is still being practiced widely in other continents — including Africa.

Therefore, there is no such thing as “post-slavery” when it’s still happening in Africa, is there?

Anyway, the more relevant syndrome for the trauma that is manifested in swaths of American society is one that “folks” readily admit to among other “folks” if not publicly:

    1) Father absence, and
    2) Really effed-up family situations including domestic chaos, addiction and abuse

Pre-1800’s slavery is about as relevant to these problems as is medieval serfdom.

Wonder how long it will be before “Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome” becomes part of the MMSD curriculum. To paraphrase Herr Goering, “When I hear someone say ‘theoretical,’ I reach for my pistol.

The second he read that 1st paragraph, The Gotch would’ve bet the farm…heck, the machinery, & out-buildings to boot, what his google search would reveal.

It’s what happens when you dare to address Inconvenient Truth:

The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief have RETRACTED this article [1]. Following publication, serious concerns were raised. Subsequent review of the publication process and the article by the Editor-in-Chief concluded that the article was published without proper editorial oversight. I’m not an academic, but even I see multiple assumptions based on opinion, “facts” without attribution or citation, and holes in logic big enough to drive a truck thru. I know you’re all fans of Mead, but how this initially got published in what I assume to be an academic journal is a head scratcher.

That you’re no academic has never been doubted by anyone here.

Mead’s a Hahvahd boy, who made the big mistake of breaking ranks with Superiority Complex afflicted/White Guilt inundated Lefty Elis by (a)rguing that employment is an obligation of citizenship.

          It gets worse.

“Asians do well in school, most blacks and Hispanics do not, with proportionally far fewer getting through high school, and even fewer through college, compared to whites.”

You still struggle with verifiable, if hand-wringing & brow furrowing facts, facts Lefty hasn’t had a chance to, you know, like, work with, massage, and average.

And did you even bother reading the citations?

Didn’t think so, Lefties look for Root Causes only as far as they need to slobber RAYcism before they take a knee in solidarity.

If you had you’d have seen a treasure trove of career Lefties referenced, even Lefty Demi-God Patrick Moynihan, author of The Moynihan Report THE NEGRO FAMILY, THE CASE FOR NATIONAL ACTION

The Gotch wonders how long it’ll be before they cancel Moynihan’s RAYcist report; reckon they have to get that real REAL mean Chamberlain Rock out of there first so the snowFLAKES aren’t triggered.

Meaning it’ll have to wait until they can read for comprehension.

Brandi Grayson on the City Council, really?

Another person playing the role of a perpetual victim. I recently heard that Brandi makes about $100,000 a year as the head of Urban Triage. Not bad money for a person of any color here in Madison. I’m white and in my mid 60’s, still working, and don’t make anywhere near what she supposedly makes. She is what, in her 40’s, and makes way more money than I do.

I’m for one, tired of hearing of those who are perpetually offended and how they think that “whitey” is the reason why they have not done as well as they should have. Perhaps Brandi would like to come down to my world and take care of a building to include such jobs as cleaning out a urinal with a drain snake, or how about pulling a toilet so that you can clear the line of obstructions? Cleaning someones puke or piss off the floor. Shoveling snow, salting the lot, the sidewalks, mowing the lawns, picking up trash.

See, I don’t care if she makes what she makes. I just don’t want her to criticize people like me for being white when she make way better money than I ever have.

I went to Brandi G’s campaign website (so you don’t have to)
—On coming to Madison at age 10, and growing up in the city. (under “About Brandi”)
“And I knew I was home, I knew I was safe, and I immediately fell in love. For the first time I saw the possibility of a future ahead of me.”
“The community I discovered — social workers, counselors, teachers, neighbors —protected me, empowered me and provided for me”. “They supported me and cared for me in ways I’ve never experienced.” (She goes on describing her life in the bosom of this “supportive” and “caring” city)
“Madison is the city that I love, and the city that has loved me back in many ways.”

—But under “The Issues/Equity and Social Justice” I get:
“Wisconsin is the most segregated state in the country, with Dane County being one of the worst places to raise a Black child in the nation.” (etc)
—Step Back!! Don’t Get Bit!! —(?Was Gibt?) —Do the Ho-Chunk have a term for “Woman speaking whose tongue is forked like a snake”s”?

Or she’s learned how gravely ignorant most of the Lefty base is, and how the rest can be White Lefty Guilted into submission?

After further research, it seems that Madison became irredeemably racist shortly after she quit working and became an activist. Does that make any sense?

The laughably talentless who can do neither, Lefty activism.

Fortunately here in America if a majority of voters decide who they want in office, it’s who they get in office. Nothing worse then a flagrant attempt to overthrow an elected representative of the people through violence. If you failed to speak out against the attempted coup by rightwing morons, please STFU about who might get elected to office any office.

Why is it that when lefties loot and vandalize they’re “social activists” but when righties do the same they’re “morons”?

Could it be the difference between seeking out ones constitutional rights on the one hand, and trying to deny others constitutional rights on the other. I would have had no problem with the rightwing extremist morons demonstrating against the election of Biden ( at least that would have meant they accepted the fact that a large majority of Americans voted for Biden) but to demonstrate against the legality of a just and legal election and claiming some (mostly black) ballots shouldn’t be counted is one helluva difference. Not surprised at all you can’t distinguish between the two.
