Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Santa is real, Sidney Powell is not

Christmas nuts and (rasp)berries

Astronomers at the Werkes have located the Star of Bethlehem over Madison skies. Which explains why Madison has no Wise Men.

Star

We thought Madison’s new police chief was Black

We hear that protesters mobbed another residence — this one of a member of the Madison Police & Fire Commission — Sunday night. Not happy their choice of chief wasn’t selected. They wanted Ramon Batista. To be honest, not sure why.

Here is Madison Ald. Mad Max Prestigiacomo, as white as a loaf of Wonder Bread, trying hard to talk coherently (and failing) about the selection of Shon Barnes, the city’s new chief:

I honestly don’t have words right now on the hiring of our new Chief. Couldn’t tell you why I allowed myself a little bit of hope this time, but of course, the system is ALWAYS reinforcing its white supremacy. …  by the time we hit our climate deadline (extremely soon) the lethal and harmful effects of white supremacy will increase exponentially. It’s hard for me to coherently talk about the catastrophe we are headed towards. I for one, am feeling quite hopeless and fearful.

The Mayo Bowl? Think we’ll pass the me-oh my-oh.

The correct amount of Covid stimulus check: $0.00.

Another Facebook idiot asks whether Trump should declassify Obama’s phone calls to Iran. We say, Go For It! Should wreck Obama’s chances of re-election! While he’s at it,  reach in that top drawer of the Resolute desk and pull out Obama’s college transcript. And yes, we get it, Melania was a fashion model and Michelle was not. O.K.? Are we good?

State Reps. Paul Tittl and Shae Sortwell are making one last attempt at Christmas.

We are putting up the Christmas tree one last time on Tuesday (12-22-20). We have invited all legislative staff and legislators to sing Christmas Carols together around the Christmas tree and then we are taking it down and will divide up the ornaments we will deliver them to area nursing homes to show the love of the Savior.

Incidentally I have got a box of chocolates I am delivering to the Governor’s office prior to the set up and singing to let them know I am  trying to show the Christmas Spirit not a disagreement with him and his staff.

What are Sidney Powell and Michael Flynn doing …

… in the White House in the first place? We are sore amazed that the people who say they are defending the Constitution want to suspend that very same Constitution and impose martial law (a military takeover). Unrepresentative government, the very thing the Patriots rebelled against.

Bitter enders offer this “proof” of a corrupt election: “3,129,000 voters registered in Wisconsin but 3,289,143 votes counted.” Where do they get this stuff?

The  Wisconsin Elections Commission  has  voter  registration statistics available on its website  elections.wi.gov/node/7220 . The total number of registered voters  in the state  on  Nov. 1, 2020 was 3,684,726. Wisconsin allows same day voter registration, which may  also  mean the registered voters  for election day  could  be higher than  3,684,726.

Blaska’s Bottom Line: If Democrats could steal 2020 why didn’t they do so in 2016? And flip the Senate both years, while they were at it?

DUH …. maybe they did not have the TECH in place …… in Michigan it took to 2018 …. 2018 was a practice run for 2020. Whitmer, Nessel, Benson, Stabenow used the same locale, TCF Center Detroit, and the same equipmet & tactics, to STEAL their way into office.

madmax MUST resign his seat to a POC or he is a RACIST too:
All the WHITE PRIVILEGE spewing “liberal” politicians CLAIM to be a pro-Affirmative Action Liberal so why have they not all RESIGNED and allowed BLACK People to HAVE their seat …. after all liberals are perfectly happy to help Blacks step in front of “Ordinary” qualified Whites and take their jobs FOR EQUALITY.

        Dave,
You failed to read the fine print. Trump did not provide a specific deadline for draining the swamp and intended to get around to that during his second term.
The swamp consists of *2 million loafers* and will require several terms of tough guys like Trump to reform.
Interesting how fixated you are on his *swamp rhetoric* and how little you congratulate him on his accomplishments while facing the fiercest and most intense fire of opposition since Lincoln. Sometimes I wonder which side you are on…

I will concede the Orange Master underestimated the maniacal level of venomous opposition he would encounter even from within the RINO party but am surprised how you seem to revel in that miscalculation. A touch of TDS perhaps?

True, Batman. The swamp has been so deeply polluted for decades that it will take more than one person to change it. Especially when that person is under constant fire from media, big tech, the left, and RINOs.

I think one of the reasons some conservatives don’t like him (aside from his brashness & insulting John McCain) is that he’s a threat to the status quo. He represents sweeping change, and that makes people uncomfortable.

What Donald Trump did do, quite skillfully, was to expose the depth of the corruption in a way that has left even the deepest DC cynics among us aghast. The good news is that as a result, he has galvanized passionate patriots who are fighting back against the swamp.

There is no way someone like Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan could have ever inspired us in this way.

        2. I get the inspiration thing, I really do. Dammit, Donald Trump fought. Problem was, he often fought his own shadow. The really successful leaders are fighters AND lovers. I’m thinking George Washington and Ronald Reagan, for instance. They knew when to punch back and when to dance and sing. Both these guys, BTW, got re-elected.

        3. Bat person, you are arguing the wrong case. You’ve been reading my stuff. You know that I championed Trump all the way through. Just as I did Scott Walker. But both lost re-elections. I didn’t say the voters are always right, nor do I say life is always fair. As Forrest Gump told, us: Shit Happens. But some of you are at the point of blaming the CIA, the Mafia, Big Oil, Cuba, the Trilateral Commission, and sun spots for voter fickleness. Helzz Belzz, they elected Jimmy Carter and Tony (no Christmas) Evers! Now Bill Barr, all nine justices of the Supreme Court, the Republican governors of Arizona and Georgia are in on the conspiracy! And Mitch McConnell! (He owns stock in Dominion. What? Not the voting machines but an energy company? Don’t bother me with facts.) You’re talking martial law — a military takeover of … of … what? The entire USA or just enough states to throw the election to Trump? Physically, how does that work? Mr. Lorge has already specified prophylactic hangings. He doesn’t say if they would be televised — perhaps on MSNBC?

          What say you, my friend?

I have seen speculation that the Dominion machines were at work as a trial run in Kentucky for the 2019 race for State executive offices.
Democrat Andy Bashear won the Governor’s race by 5,136 votes when all other positions were won by Republicans: Sec of State by 64,533 votes, Attorney General by 221,074, State Treasurer by 300,891, to name a few.
It seems highly unlikely to me that so many people would vote for down-ballot Republicans but not for an incumbent Republican governor.
As a political analyst, Dave, aren’t your eyebrows raised just a little bit by such results?

      1. Try this on for size: Can you think of a state more liberal-left-blue than Massachusetts? Elizabeth Warren is a senator and one of the Squad is a congresswoman. The other U.S. Senator co-sponsored A.O.C.’s Green New Deal. Who is the governor of Massachusetts? A Republican. Same with Maryland. Whereas rock solid red Kansas has a Democrat for governor. How are your eyebrows right about now?

Ethics Quote Of The Week: Biden Deputy Chief Of Staff, Jen O’Malley Dillon

“I’m not saying they’re not a bunch of fuckers. Mitch McConnell is terrible.”
—Jen O’Malley Dillon, incoming *Deputy Chief of Staff* for Joe Biden, explaining to Glamour Magazine that bi-partisan deals are still possible with Republicans.

        Excerpt from a comment:
“My answer: It’s because the “healing” they want is capitulation and obedience. That kind of “healing” is akin to “Anne Althouse’s “Calls for Civility are Bullshit” tagline. If you reject Biden’s positions to reenter the Paris Accords or the Iran nuclear deal, then you refuse to heal the nation from the deep divide caused by the Evil Orange Man Bad. Forget that reentering the Iran nuke deal will likely jettison the peace accords Trump worked about between Israel, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and a few others. Nope. You refuse to heal. Your objection is evil and you must be destroyed. Just ask Joel Epstein, who had the temerity to mock St. Jill Biden, Ph.D, MD, Esq.’s doctorate and her dissertation.”

    1. President Trump is NOT Hitler. Not by a long shot. And he was unfairly maligned by the dominant media. I do hope Hillary is brought to account for ordering the Russian collusion hoax. Hunter Biden would be well advised to buy a condo in Switzerland. News of his investigation didn’t leak because there was no market for that leak. Trump didn’t hurt MY feelings. I voted for him! But he did rub a lot of the upper middle class ladies of Wisconsin’s WOW counties and similar suburbs and exurbs. They said so in public opinion polls; the vote totals show it. And he energized his opponents, foolish though they are. In other words, he lost the election. We don’t need to go all Oliver Stone in whacky JFK conspiracies to understand. Was Barry Goldwater better than LBJ? I didn’t think so at the time and Goldwater lost in a landslide. But he paved the way for Ronald Reagan.

Dave, in response to your reply way above:

My impression of your blogging these past four years is that you did not support Trump “all the way through” with your writing and only sparsely mentioned support late in his term while holding your nose because his personality so offends you.
“blaming the CIA” Why not, they’re as corrupt as the FBI.
Trump has emphatically denied advocating Martial Law and at least one person who attended the 4hr. mtg. in question publicly asserts the same thing.

Yeah sure Trump was unable to smoothly navigate treacherous waters like a polished politician and mistakenly offended when he did not have to. Pretty obvious that, and you choose to spotlight it instead of covering him from a more empathetic appreciative perspective such as the fact he accomplished so much while under 24/7 scorching attacks from everywhere while surrounded by snakes.

No point in comparing him to any past Presidents except Lincoln who could not figure out a good General for roughly three years. None of us can fathom what he withstood and instead of writing to highlight that aspect of his Presidency *you mock those who know full well this election was rigged and he most likely did actually win the legal votes.*

My point is that you choose to amplify the warts instead of the miracle that Trump really is and I surmise it is because you really do not like him while mostly ignoring what he has publicly exposed and broken loose. There is no going back, no un-ringing the bell, and far less ignorance and naivete on the right all because of Trump. You simply extend your energy in an unhelpful way instead of propelling/advancing what Trump has begun. The anti-asshole movement seeded by the Orange Master needs cheerleaders not nitpickers and mocking. People are understandably and non-violently venting, not Burning, Looting, and Murdering. That is a Lefty thing.

This reads like a sarcastic rebuke of all the Trump sycophants. But as someone who has read a lot of this person’s previous posts, I suspect it’s just a misdirected screed by a ‘true believer’.

‘the Orange Master needs cheerleaders’ – reads like something from North Korea.

‘Trump…mistakenly offended’ – seriously? Mistakenly? His whole political strategy revolves around attacking anyone who dares to disagree with him. For god’s sake, he’s going after freakin Mitch McConnel now!

‘No point in comparing him to any past Presidents except Lincoln’. This is just an obscene comment. Abraham Lincoln risked everything including his political career and gave everything including his life, all to preserve this nation and our constitution. An example of complete opposites. Trump does nothing that isn’t in his own personal interests. And he is risking the health and the future of our country, all because his oh so fragile ego has been hurt. There is absolutely nothing ‘Lincoln’ about that.

‘People are understandably and non-violently venting, not Burning, Looting, and Murdering. That is a Lefty thing.’ – I agree that burning, looting and murdering are wrong. But saying that all of these things are a ‘Lefty thing.’? How about 2 dead in Kenosha? How about 1 dead and 19 injured in Charlottesville? Death threats against election workers and judges/justices? Is all that just a ‘righty thing’? All of these things are wrong. Period. Full stop. And neither side has a monopoly on bad behavior or virtue.

    Mad1218,
Your first sentence makes zero sense and your second sentence confirms that you could not have missed the point of Batman’s comment by a wider margin.
Batman is a “true believer” in the prevention of the USA from being transformed from a constitutional republic into nothing more than a portfolio for the Globalists. This transformation has been underway for a long time and our only hope is to slow it down long enough for a miracle. The self-serving frauds known as Harris/Biden are a foot heavy down on the accelerator in the direction that will increasingly strip people of their individual freedom/rights.
Batman favors Trump true believers over Harris/Biden misguided fools every day of the week!

“Cheerleaders” is an expression denoting that Trump needs support for his USA first policies to counteract the administrative state/socialists, not *more* criticism from people who voted for him. Your “North Korea” reference is worthless sophomoric garbage.

“Yeah sure Trump was unable to smoothly navigate treacherous waters like a polished politician and mistakenly offended when he did not have to.”
Batman is saying this was/is a personality flaw that cost Trump dearly but it isn’t “His whole political strategy” as you contend. It is his achilles heal, as though he is hard wired that way unable to help himself.

Batman’s Lincoln reference asserts that no Prez since Lincoln has withstood such withering attacks from all directions along with many from his own party plus the administrative state whose goal is to undermine so as to maintain power. If Trump wasn’t such a threat to politicians, globalists/socialists, MSM, University indoctrination centers, and entrenched bureaucrats, devoted to the status quo the resistance would not be as monumental as it is.

You claim that Trump “Trump does nothing that isn’t in his own personal interests. And he is risking the health and the future of our country, all because his oh so fragile ego has been hurt.”
God Almighty that is pure codswallop and off-the-charts stupid. Do you work for CNN? Others on this site have listed Trump’s accomplishments multiple times that flat out debunk your assertion.

Your attempt to equate the violence being committed by the radical Left to the Right illustrates perfectly just how skewed your perception is.

Overall, your critique of Batman’s comment is designated unsatisfactory.
