Woke progressivism never quits
It appears that Judge Amy Coney Barrett has gone from a “cult member” for being a devout Catholic to a possible “white colonizer” for adopting two Haitian children.
Where most of us saw a loving interracial family at the White House ceremony on Saturday, Ibram X. Kendi, the new director of the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University, saw a possible case of effective baby snatching by “White colonizers.”
On Saturday, Kendi wrote “Some White colonizers ‘adopted’ Black children. They ‘civilized’ these ‘savage’ children in the ‘superior’ ways of White people, while using them as props in their lifelong pictures of denial …
Lefty academics see RAYcism behind every tree, and trees are symbols of RAYcism themselves because most of which have used for lynching.
When they can’t see it, it must be MANUFACTURED to keep the glassy eyin’ lock-steppin’ unquestionin’ imbecilic Lefty base on tilt.

Like too many other social justice warriors, anti-Trump deranged people and anti-white racists, it appears that Boston University Professor Ibram X. Kendi has completely lost his mind and fallen over the edge of reality.

I am so-o-o confused, isn’t adopting (as in Madonna, or Potter-Carre), or collecting (a-la Angelina Jolie) minority children, the absolute “Gold Standard” of virtue signalling? Was Gibt? Help me to understand, Steve.

What does that say about Jim Doyle??

Given his overtly racist and bigoted comments, it would seem Ibram X. Kendi could benefit from taking some classes at the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University.

Ever wonder why colleges and universities today host places like the Center for Antiracist Research? Why not just call them what they are: Ministry of Leftist Propaganda, Academic Division?

Wasn’t it the French who did that?

Some may make that claim, Amos, but The Gotch is surprised to see you doing so, if that is in fact what you’re doing.
They’ve had it to themselves since 1803; at what point must Haiti take ownership of its status as a bona fide Third World $#!THOLE?

Yes, I am doing that. You might want to investigate the post-colonial history of so many of these countries, along with “Shithole” countries like El Salvador, are where they are today. Not saying that there aren’t a number of factors at play with every situation, but it’s pretty hard for people to peacefully establish democracy and freedom in a country where attempting that is pretty much guaranteed to get you imprisoned, tortured and murdered, isn’t it? Isn’t that the story of pretty much all of Central America, to give just one example, during the mid to latter part of the 20th century? Do you think that these repressive governments -whatever the skin color of the rulers – wouldn’t have been overthrown within weeks or months – by people with the same skin color – if it weren’t for powerful foreign countries (the US FAR more than France!) creating/backing these brutal dictatorships?
If you don’t, then I guess we should just agree to disagree.

I cannot reply directly to Amos’ comment, so I’m posting a simplistic reply here. Since Spain and Portugal took/invaded Mexico/Cuba/Central America/South America starting in the 1500’s, there was A. The indigenous population, B. the Colonialists and C. later: Criollos (Colonists born in those countries). The Spanish/Criollos were lazy, corrupt, greedy & harsh occupiers, as they were in their own countries. As C. “mestizos” (indigenous & Criollo mix) came about, the imbalance resulted in violent uprisings, (Mexico had 31 Presidents/dictators from overthrowing Spain in 1814, to Diaz in the 1880’s). This was paralleled thruout Latin America. To summarize, all those countries, including the Caribbean islands, were corrupt & inept 400 years ago and became more self-destructive as generations passed. No outside force, political slant -or country, ever made much difference in the ultimate decline of these countries into absolute self-inflicted Hellholes.

Haiti (then St. Domingue) was very prosperous at the time, not that the African slaves weren’t horribly treated.

We’ve got our own ‘white colonizer’ in Joe Parisi.

Rather odd, isn’t it, how in the late ’50’s Democrats embraced John F. Kennedy whole-heartedly, despite his religious affiliations? Despite the much-more-stringent Catholic restrictions on birth control, as well as forbidding abortion in its entirety?
And then this “Scholar of Anti-Racism” conflates that same religion with White Colonialism? Because this large & loving Barrett family has two children of color?
Or is it because they’re a family with a caring on-site father and a responsible mother, which in the Black community is not common.

What a dastardly thing to say.
I believe that the people who find “racism” around every corner are they themselves, the most racist.
There is nothing on this green earth that will ever please them. Nothing. They have dark hearts and I truly have come to believe they need professional and/or spiritual help.

Any on the Left who believe Judge Barrett’s loving decision to adopt Haitian children was a “prop” should read the poignant “Finding Chika” by Mitch Albom.
He’s the Detroit sportswriter and spiritual guru who likewise adopts a precocious Haitian girl after the earthquake there several years ago. The girl ultimately dies of a childhood illness.
Anyone who believes these altruists adopt for the sake of appearance have no heart. They have blood-pumping devices, just no heart.
