Weaponizing positivity

Went downtown to photo the latest insult to Wisconsin military veterans but the most recent batch of graffiti slathered on the Wisconsin Veterans Museum on the Capital Square had already been painted over this noon (09-17-2020).
One property owner told the Werkes he had to shell out $400 to get a three-quarters inch sheet of plywood over his window and do it NOW before they hit my place! That’s not gouging, that is supply and demand.
One storekeep has a bright idea. Put the plywood on hinges so can lower for business during the day and raise at night.
Shopkeepers are considering getting the pull-down steel mesh grates that one sees in the seedier parts of Karachi, Pakistan. Count on city planning experts to object. The ones that make the great clanking noise.
Law enforcement in for shave & haircut
Budget time is approaching in the Peoples’ Republic. Which alders will move to defund the police? Ol’ Sparky (our Eisenhower-era mainframe computer) predicts Alds. “Mad Max” Prestigiacomo, Tag (You’re it!) Evers, Shiva Bidar, and Rebecca Kemble (Progressive Dane, all) will be front and center. Sparky also spit out the names of Huey Newton and Stokely Carmichael but we attribute that to a short in one of its North Korean budget vacuum tubes.
County Board meets tonight to listen to citizens on next year’s budget, including a $132 million jail rebuild (smaller but more humane). All the usual cop haters will flood the zone. Far as I am concerned, Sheriff Mahoney endorsed the Derail the Jail people. Until he gets off his knees he can live with them.
Indoctrination starts young
This past Sunday (09-13-2020) the Kids March for BLM featured an anti-racist baby reading. S-bomb you not. School board member Ali Muldrow (Progressive Dane/Cops Out of Schools) was a featured speaker. Movement for Black Lives organizer Allison Bell Bern said … kids are like sponges at these events.”

Your “focus on the positivity” ass argument is truly [f-bombed] up. It exalts your privilege. It dismisses the pain and hurt that come with blackness. Your “choice” is an undesirable privilege. Who chooses to ignore pain, murder hurt? Breonna killers still [F-bomb]-ing free.
Alright then.
Blaska’s Bottom Line: Is positive that weaponizing that guy with the baseball bat and bullhorn, blaming the police for criminality, and forcing a run on plywood are making a a once vibrant Downtown fleeting or unobtainable.

I am pleased to see that someone is talking about the kids BLM March. I have been a volunteer for 29 years for one participating agency. I was not only shocked that they were participating (feedback sent) and was appalled to see the video of a woman holding a megaphone to the kids’ mouths telling them what to shout. Some of the children were too young to even spell Defund, much less know what it means. No racist cops was another megaphone shove into a kids face. They took advantage of these children. Kids need to know what is going on, but on a kid level. The same agency that I have supported sent out an email saying that they stand in full solidarity with Jacob Blake, who had a felony warrant out for his arrest. What on earth are we teaching our kids?

Thanks, Amy, you kinda tell it like it is. Apparently kids can no longer just be kids -they hafta be activists like mom & Dad (mostly moms; Dads typically are “elsewhere”). It’s a shame that the 3 R’s, family togetherness and feeling secure are now denied so many children. And it really wasn’t so long ago that kids could enjoy being just kids. Wha’ happened ? Disgusting but… “Whirl is King… “

Not that they would wake up and smell the burning ashes of State Street and businesses (read tax revenue) going the way of the buffalo. If they do, those expensive condos downtown wont be expensive and Monroe Street will have turned in Willie Street, circa 1980s….

It’s going to be a long hard fight to defeat the War On Police. I’m surprised the BLMing, … the Burning, Looting and Murdering, … could happen so easily and that our cold Civil War could turn into a hot shooting war so quickly. If it can happen in Kenosha, it can happen in your home town, too, Toto.
In a morally relativistic environment where PC feelings trump inconvenient facts, reality always takes a back seat. This is clearly seen in the BLM Big Lie, “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”. It never happened. But BLM built their movement on it. You can ask any Leftist today, and they’ll tell you Michael Brown was shot in the back while he had his hands up. That’s a lie. Brown was shot in the top of his head after failing to get the officer’s gun as he lowered his head and bullrushed him.
George Floyd had trouble breathing before anyone ever knelt on him. Newly released evidence indicate a “fatal level” of Norfentanyl, Methamphetamine and 4-ANPP was found in his bloodstream, suggesting he died of an overdose, not asphyxiation.
For America’s sake, the facts about Jacob Blake better come out sooner rather than later.

My brain fell out reading this. After picking it up off the floor, dusting it off and putting it back in, I realize that Madison can only implode and maybe someday be reborn again as a cornfield, which will be completely devoid of white supremacy, the need for cops, and will feed the world. That is what they’re going for, isn’t it? Oooops…my bad.

So as I recall all persons who hold a public office in the State of Wisconsin have to swear an oath that includes the following words:
“Official Oath

After reading both Constitutions my question to the Mayor and Governor would be: Just how did you support the constitution of the United States and the State of Wisconsin and discharged your duties of office when you Mayor, ordered the Police to stand down during the riots and looting and you, Governor, did nothing to call out the National Guard during the rioting and looting of Madison and Kenosha?
Especially when you consider to include the words in the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.
I find it amazing that we make 18 year olds swear an oath of office when they join the military that includes the words:
“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
If we expect 18 year olds to take that hill when ordered to do so, or die trying, why do we allow our elected officials to blatantly disregard their oaths of office?
An oath means something or it is little more than useless words fed into a paper shredder. To the Mayor and the Governor these oaths are as useless as they who uttered them.
