Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

To hell with Hollywood

Blaska passes for pissedย

Hollywood after WW2 made message films like Gentlemen’s Agreement (anti-semitism)ย and in 1949,ย Pinky โ€” the latterย the story of a light-skinned African-American woman trying to pass for white. The heroine was played by a white actress, Jeanne Crain, and not Black actresses Lena Horne or Dorothy Dandridge, who vied for the role. Today, that would be called cultural appropriation. But it was also just poor casting.

Jeanne Crain
Jean Crain or Ms. Pronouns?

You know weโ€™re making racial progress seven decades later when the co-president of the UW-Madisonโ€™s hard-Left Teaching Assistants Assn. (an ally of Progressive Dane) fakes being Black. Yeah, CV Vitolo-Haddadย is mostly Italian. But her pronouns remainย โ€œtheyโ€ and โ€œthem,โ€ the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel helpfully informs.

Mizz Pronouns joins Rachel Dolezal and GU professor Jessica Krug (a UW graduate) in seeking undeserved status by identifying with a supposedly oppressed culture. Perhaps race is, after all, nothing more than a social construct. (The Werkes wants Shaq O’Neill to play Blaska in the movies. Or Chuckie, if he’s not busy.)ย Affiliated with identity fakers areย the race-crime hoaxers โ€” frauds like Jussie Smollett, Althea Bernstein, and the grandma of them all, Al Sharptonโ€™s Tawana Brawley.ย Black privilege, anyone?

โ‡’ MUST READ: “Hate crime hoaxes are more common than you think.ย A political scientist found that fewer than 1 in 3 of 346 such allegations was genuine. โ€” Jason L. Riley.ย ย ย

It is 9/11 in 2020

Today (09-11-2020) is anniversary #19 of that day America was attacked but, as filtered through the sensibilities of a liberal-progressive-socialist acquaintance, yet another cause for partisan grievance: ย

I am fascinated this morning by all of my Trump-supporting friends who have photos of New York’s twin towers on the facebook pages, asking us all “never to forget” the 3000 people who died in those attacks, and yet who don’t give two s***s about the nearly 200,000 people who have died in the past six months.ย

That hissy fit prompted this response from one Roberta Howard Hunter, a researcher at Rutgers University:

“Because there were brown people they could blame for 9/11.”

“Brown people caused 9/11?” Now we are royally pissed!

This, that and the other thing

How is it that 14 Madison alders KNOW the identity of whomever uttered the C-wordย at a city council meeting? We would like to see state Democrat(ic) party operative Douglas Hyant submit to a voice recognition test. Thereโ€™s an old saying from grade school, he who smelt it, dealt it.ย ย

The Recall Satya effort collected 20,000 signatures, we are told. But 5,000 of those failed to include the circulatorโ€™s name at the bottom. An easy mistake to make, considering that most of the petition drive occurred on-line. The signatures were not submitted to the city clerk for an official count. (53 apparently mailed directly to the clerk.)

No, the Werkes did not count them ourselves. The signatories will not be exposed to harassment by the vindictive Left. Which was always a challenge for the recall effort โ€” BLM progressivism is all about intimidation.

We are not ready for pro football.ย The Houston Texans football team hunkered down in the locker room during the playing of the National anthem? Weโ€™re done! The name of police resister Jacob Blake on a helmet? Outta here!

silent movie

Nuremburg racial laws, the sequel

Now the Academy of Motion Pictures has slapped more identity politics requirements on its Oscar awards than a Madison city council job description. Beginning in 2024 (with a phase-in next year), films hoping to qualify for the best picture category will have to meet inclusion standards both on camera and behind the scenes.ย The New York Times explains:

To meet the onscreen representation standard, at least one of the lead actors or a significant supporting actor must be from an under-represented racial or ethnic group, whether that means Asian, Hispanic, Black, Indigenous, Native American, Middle Eastern, North African, native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander.

There are alternatives: 30% of all actors in secondary or more minor roles could come from two of the following categories: women, L.G.B.T.Q., an underrepresented racial or ethnic group, or those with cognitive or physical disabilities. Or the main story line must focus on an under-represented group.

Blaska’s Bottom Line:ย We’ll give you an under-represented group: conservatives as anything but villains.

How do YOU identify?

Thank God these fascist pricks were not around to enlighten Pablo Picasso et al. in the ways of political correctness or the world would be filled with nothing more than variations of Satya art.

Hello again, Batman: Apparently it’s OK for you to call people “fascists” (“fascist pricks”, even) but not me. Not that I’d want to anymore. And after you pointed out my rudeness to Liberty, too, which I acknowledged. Interesting.

There’s precious little real intellectual diversity in any Leftist institutions, … the entertaintment/academic, government/media military industrial complex, (beware of).

The once hallowed halls of academia have been turned into a warm comfortable nest for indoctrination, propagating the pusillanimous pap and proggy propaganda of the hive-minded communists, socialists, secular-progressive totalitarians and infested with low-flow lockstep liberal lemmings, pro-abort feminasties, gender-bending cis-normative LBGTQIA-EIEIO barnyard menagerie of sex confused, man-bunned, Peter Pan Pajama Boy Proglobots, radical environmentalists, TDSers, #AngryBlueFisters and #HateAmericaFirsters.

A UW student today can be exposed to every form of hateful Leftist collective orthodoxy without ever having heard a single, solitary Conservative POV. They can matriculate owning a worthless degree in Grievance Studies, in massive student debt, and hating all our traditional shared American values, their parents and their God and Country.

Safe spaces, Speech codes, political correctness, the glorification of superficial racial diversity, kow-towing to professional multi-cultist grievance-mongers and uneven enforcement of regulations have all contributed to the destruction of The Wisconsin Idea of “sifting and winnowing” and maintaining a harassment-free work and learning environment. But UW is no longer a place where young people can be exposed to truly diverse ideas and viewpoints.

Maybe it’s time for some Title IX-style set asides and reasonable accommodations for Conservatives in order to compensate for generations of Leftist indoctrination, discrimination and bias.

      Fabulous comment (ofthedaymostlikely) DogMan.

Students with non-marketable degrees in hate will never be able to repay their student loans and I doubt they ever intended to but they will be a drag on society.

“Inclusion standards” is another term for soft censorship (the ineviteable precursor of hard censorship). It should surprise no one that the arts have become the latest target of identity politics fanatics. Art has one true standard: the primacy of the individual imagination–which means it is not now nor has it ever been an equal opportunity employer. This is why it must be re-made in the image of race-obsessed leftists who care nothing about the quality of the art, only about the credentials of the artist–credentials spelled out in no uncertain terms by the Academy of Motion Pictures. When art is judged by standards other than its own merits, the result is third rate propaganda (as in the cringeworthy daubings that now adorn the shopfronts on State Street). Oscar Wilde once said, “There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. A book is well written or poorly written, that is all.” Try telliing that to the sanctimonious censors who are now hard at work foisting their own flawed morality on artists who should be following no guide but their own imagination.

19 years ago, …..some people like did something to some people…..

I really want to be a NFL Fan but just learned today that before the Packers Game the Archrival Vikings Brass and NFL are going to honor the family of the 7 time felon with a toxicology report showing he had enough fentanyl and meth in his system that he basically was already dead. BTW, the policeman did use brutal force and did cause his death no excuse for that person’s actions. I could get behind some of these social justice causes if they were actually about stopping Black on Black crimes and murders. This is about putting by accounts a pretty broken felonious natured man on a pedestal. Just cannot get behind crap. This might be the first packers game I miss since the 1992 season live. Looks like I will have lots of time on my hands this fall and winter. No Pack No!

Bang On! Good Dog,Happy Man…You nailed it cogently. While still early in my eighth decade &
a graduated, degreed survivor-escapee of the early 70’s UW-Madison [last century for all those gestated post millennium], I am appalled at the level of disintegration to which this institution has devolved; I do not trumpet my earlier association or achievement with said entity; historical associative significance fades quickly in the face of current hopelessly feckless leadership and hateful, insane gatekeepers [Schalk et al] of “wokeness” burnishing legions of sh!t-for-brains drones to the least-possible luster. If or when queried re: “higher edubacation” of grand progeny in the context of UW-Madison, the response….”Seriously?”

They/them/that faking being black at UW and the reaction (including a town hall next week to process through the trauma and do The Work) would be hysterically funny if it weren’t such a lie and hoax. BTW when might Althea Smollett be exposed on both counts (the incident and her racial identity claim).

Don’t hold your breath…. Kamala ain’t really a Black American either… she is India Indian and Jamaican and even her Jamaican father basically has disowned her.

    And Pocahontas too.

QUESTION 1: Ever notice how all these people and their lies end up benefiting them politically, academically, and financially???

I would think actual Black people who have actually been marginalized and battled their way out of grinding poverty would be FURIOUS at all these fakers.

    QUESTION 2:

    HOW MANY MORE ARE THERE????

The Gotch believes there are PLENTY!

That’s the everLUVIN‘ beauty of it; the promise of future embarrassing exposures AND that the guilty are sweating bullets for their unconscionable breach of both the public’s trust and the anticipation of the discovery of obsequiously craven cultural appropriation for the sole purpose of advancing their career prospects.

      Win-Win-Win!!!

I, too, am sick of being lectured/scolded by folks who USED to contribute to my relaxation and entertainment. Yes, an escape from the daily grind -which these days is a daily upbraiding by near-billionaires. NBA, NFL, MLB -even the NHL.What purpose do they serve now? Divisiveness, ignorance of facts and consternation.

BTW, same here -No missed games since1992…. Sad !

Comparing a virus* with a planned, hateful attack against our nation, then accusing US of being racist because the attackers weren’t white, is the height of idiocy. It’s also deeply offensive to the memory of those who perished that day and in the years to follow, under the hands of radical Islamic terrorists. Racist to say “Islamic”, the left says? That is what they are. Sorry if the left finds the truth offensive.

(*The virus caught us all off guard. President Trump did everything he should have done, and I argue that if it weren’t for him, more lives would have been lost. Liberals call Trump racist for banning travel to China, then turn out and say he didn’t act fast enough?)

How liberal limousine-ish to chant for peace during times of war then to snub their noses at Trump, the president who has brokered unprecedented middle east peace deals, and who unlike his predecessors, has managed to keep us out of war or conflict.

Every time the left opens their mouths, they expose their ignorance and their deep hatred not only for Trump, but I’d also argue, for this country.

The good news is that the silent majority is pushing back. Maybe not in Madison, but people ARE pushing back. The difference is that the way we’re pushing back is under the confines of the law. Because we respect this country.

You know what else is ” offensive to the memory of those who perished that day and in the years to follow?” Secretly taking millions from the fund set up to help those who put their lives on the line. Thank God for King who stood up for his state and is forcing the trump administration to replace all that money.

So your saying it was OK to take money from this fund for 4 years, never tell anyone why, and stonewall every inquiry. Who is the “deranged” one here. What difference does it make what party your from on this issue. Again; thank God for King getting back that much needed money. Psst….King has an (R) after his name.

Trolls set traps, try to incite, then sit back, hoping we’ll take the bait. Instead of addressing the issues at hand, they deflect and engage in “Gotcha!”
