Kyle Rittehouse, 17, has been charged with murder over the killings on Tuesday night in Kenosha. (Source here.)
Witness accounts and video show that the shootings took place in two stages: The gunman first shot someone at a car lot, then jogged away, stumbled and fell in the street, and opened fire again as members of the crowd closed in him.
Anthony Huber has been identified as one of the men who was shot dead during the protests on Tuesday night
Cellphone video showed the ordeal unfolded after a man was shot in the head outside a nearby auto garage. The videos showed the armed man running away in the moments after the gunshots rang out and he could be heard saying: ‘I’ve just killed somebody’.

If you watch the video you can see the guy in the photo below getting shot as he aggressively advances on the man with the rifle, notice the “victim” has a handgun in the hand of the arm that was shot.

In an ironic twist the looters and rioters that are calling for defunding and abolishing police in Kenosha stood over their dead and wounded comrades and screamed for help from the police and pointing out the shooter to the police; seriously, they did. Now that they are the “victim” they want the police.
This is the world we no live in.

This one is the man with the skateboard assaulting the man on the ground with the rifle…
This one is after the skateboard assault and just a moment before the man with the handgun in his right hand (look closely it’s in the photo) drops his hand and aggressively advances (you can see this in all the videos) towards the man on the ground. He is shot in the right arm.
Also in this photo you can see that the man that assaulted the man on the ground has dropped his skateboard and is clinching his chest as if he was shot in the chest.
The man on the ground was in full self-defense mode after he tripped and fell to the ground. In my opinion view all the available video and photos I can find; regardless of what transpired before this happened, everything the man did after he fell to the ground until he stood up was 100% self defense, the only ones targeted were the one assaulting or about to assault. I’m sure there will be arguments that he was trying to murder others.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: In the video’s I’ve seen, after the man on the ground that shot others stood up he immediately walked straight to a police car at the end of the block with his hands held up. It appeared to me that he was giving up to the police. The video pans away right after he arrived at the police car.
Why is the press saying that the shooter is at large when he physically walked straight to a police car immediately after the shootings?

What you should be asking is how, after shooting 3 people, killing 2, and walking toward police with his weapon hanging from his shoulder, with people shouting to the police that he had just shot people, was he able to simply walk away? Now that’s an interesting question worth discussion.

I asked that question because I saw him walk directly to a Police cruiser, you can see it in the video. It looked like someone might have told him to get away from the cruiser and he followed police instructions. He was not trying to evade the police in any way.

Yes that’s an interesting question and one that I’m sure will be answered in time. There were multiple people in the “protest” that were carrying firearms, long guns and pistols. My initial guess as to why he was able to walk away, even though it’s clear by his actions that he wasn’t trying to evade the police, is the overall chaos of the situation greatly contributed of this.

He likely didn’t know where the Police Station was, remember he’s not a resident of Kenosha.
That said; I agree with you, he could have made additional efforts to turn himself in and there will likely be some additional charges to reflect him leaving town and the State without turning himself in. Even if every Police Officer he walked up to in town turned him away, he still left town and crossed a State line.
Note: We don’t know that he didn’t make additional attempts to contact Police officers.
In all that chaos I’m sure the police missed a few things including the shooter trying to turn himself in. Chaos make it hard to get things done the right way.

he could have bought it right here since there are no background checks on private sales. Since you can open carry in Wis. without a permit the cops had no reason to stop him. At the risk of having this site explode with comments maybe it’s time to revisit Wisconsin gun laws.

It’s going to be really interesting how the boldfaced lie above will be the story that spreads far and wide and the real story that he shot at those that were either in the process of physically assaulting attacking him when he was on the ground or in the process of overly aggressive advancing on him with a handgun but that will of course these things will be ignored because it won’t fit their narrative.
This is going to be really interesting watching how this all unfolds in the news and on the streets.

They were acting irrationally. It’s not rational to put yourself into a close quarters combat situation by physically attacking someone that you know just used their firearm to shoot someone else, it is a receipt for disaster and that’s exactly what happened. They assaulted him and he protected himself.

The rational thing to do was to follow him and identify him to police NOT attack him. Mob mentality took over as it usually does at these protests/riots and these people acted irrationally.

Thankfully, Kenosha is practically a different country when it comes to crime. Might be worse than Milwaukee, per capita. Thus many more shootings by police because they’d like to survive the day and return to their families. That said, Madison’s gangsta teens seem to be changing our profile daily, weekly and monthly. At any rate, puzzling why a 17 year old from Antioch would be there. Also, Kenosha police ignored him at the scene, so he did leave the area; but he did try to give himself up…

And the matter with that? That same ID is asked when you buy booze. When a felon is released they tell them they can’t have firearms. Does that stop them? Why should we show an ID to buy a gun if it doesn’t matter? Why should we show an ID to vote then?

I hate this. I hate the fact that it seems to be ok to execute a black man in the back while a white man shoots 2 people and gets to sneak back to Illinois. Thankfully he was arrested but he is being treated like a hero
I hate that the protesters don’t know history and instead of having peaceful protests like Bloody Sunday or the Children’s March in Birmingham they are rioting and giving the Trumpites exactly what they want.
Those protests brought us the voting rights act. Watts and the riots of 1968 brought us Nixon. Their shortsightedness is giving ammunition to those who will elect a wannabe authoritarian who has lied more times than I can count.
The left is extreme, the right is extreme. The center can not hold. I don’t know if my sanity can hold if Trump gets re-elected.
