Another liberal professor is a target for being open-minded

Now the speech police are after Professor Steven Pinker of Harvard University. For observations like “Protests focus on over-policing. But under-policing is also deadly.” Pinker …

… is a big supporter of Democrats, and donated heavily to former President Barack Obama, but he has denounced what he sees as the close-mindedness of heavily liberal American universities. He likes to publicly entertain ideas outside the academic mainstream … and he has suggested that the political left’s insistence that certain subjects are off limits contributed to the rise of the alt-right.

    There are too many hyper-Nazi/Commies.

What is the modern equivalent of burning his books? Asking for Antifa and BLM.

    • Gary Kriewald says:

One modern equivalent is ripping down statues that represent something that doesn’t align with your fanatical notions. By doing so, you’re saying, “I don’t like seeing this, so you’re not going to see it either.” When you burn a book, you’re saying, “I don’t like readinig what’s in here so you’re not going to read it either.” Write Speaker Vos and demand that the statues of Hans Christian Heg and Lady Forward be repaired and resituated and that the bill be sent to the city of Madison for failing to take measures to protect them.

Some brave civil servant bean counter should isolate the increased tax burden generated from the riots, err, peaceful protests, prior to the next property tax bill going out and then rapidly execute their escape plan to avoid a brutal beatdown by the mob enforcers.

I especially like Pinker’s 2015 Tweet, RE: (I condensed still using his words) “which suggested that the high number of police shootings of Black people may not have been caused by racial bias of police but rather by police having disproportionately high numbers of encounters with Black residents.” NAILED IT !
