Madison Police report on assault of Sen. Tim Carpenter, D-Milw.

06/24/2020 – 12:10 AM Address 200 block W. Main St.

The MPD has now been able to make contact with a state politician who was attacked and beaten by an angry mob late Tuesday night, or early Wednesday morning. The victim’s name has been widely reported by media, but it is the protocol of the MPD not to identify crime victims. [It is State Sen. Tim Carpenter, D-Milwauke.]

Sen Carpenter downThe politician said he was walking to the State Capitol around midnight when he saw a group of demonstrators in the street. He decided to use his phone to capture what was happening. As he did, three people rushed toward him, saying something about his phone. One knocked it out of his hand. He said he was then sucker punched. He fell to the ground and was battered by several people.

A [news] media member, who witnessed the assault, told police approximately ten people punched and kicked the politician while he was on the ground and as the politician tried to explain that he is an ally.

When the beating stopped, the politician tried to dialogue with his attackers, explaining who he was, and asking for his phone and glasses to be returned. They were, and someone identifying herself as a nurse came to his aid.

Feeling “lightheaded, stunned and dazed” he next stumbled toward the State Capitol, where he laid down on the grass. He made contact with Capitol Police who called for an emergency medical response. Paramedics treated the politician, but he declined to go to a hospital.

Capitol Police escorted him into the Capitol, and told him not to leave the building because of property damage and unruly behavior that was continuing to take place outside. The politician later sought medical help at a hospital. He told the MPD he was still feeling pain in his neck, arms, ribs, and head.

The MPD is working on identifying the politician’s attackers. Anyone with information is urged to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014 or by computer at

Geez. If police were not told to stand down they would have intervened, have the ID of the attackers and not need to use Crime Stoppers.

One wonders if, with the idea that some or all of the mob attacking Carpenter might have a shred of character, some might turn themselves into the authorities for prosecution. They’re publicly portrayed on video, if it makes any difference.

(There he goes again, talking about character.)

“But I’m an ally”, he bleated as the mob came for him.

It’s like these idiots have never read a history book.

Sad lament of a career Lefty, am I right?

It’s TRES cute they think that just because they wear Black Lives Matter T-Shirts, Gosh I’m Nice lapel ribbons, I’m Dialed In wrist bands, and sport Look At Me Hopey Changey/☪☮e✡i☯✝ bumper stickers on their Toyota Pious’ that the Browning of America will be giving them a pass.

BE ADVISED LEFTY: You’re in for a BIG surprise!

Lefty devouring their own; it’s almost too much to take.

Speaking of hate crimes real or imagined, how long before that alleged incident of a young woman being burned by racists is uncovered as another Jusse Smollett-style caper?

Question: Will we, as a nation, ever experience sanity again, or are we destined to be ruled by the deranged, unhinged, and morally bankrupt ad infinitum? I keep hearing that the pendulum swings, but just not seeing it,
