Blaska Policy Werkes

David Blaska, going out of his way to provoke progressives in Madison WI to make America safe for democracy!

Take a knee, America

It’s good politics!

Next shoe to drop (or knee to bend):
Colin Kaepernick to start for the Packers!

America is taking a knee. Police Chief Vic Wahl and Sheriff Dave Mahoney knelt Wednesday, June 3, 2020 before Madison’s racial-industrial complex. Forgive us father, for we have sinned. It’s not just those four police in Minneapolis, Minnesota (no change of venue is going to keep them out of prison). Nor is it the occasional bad apples among the 800,000 law enforcement officers nationwide.

Law enforcement as a class stands kneels guilty as charged of rounding up people of color so that we can fill our prisons. Breaking up families by arresting dutiful fathers for nothing more than spitting on the sidewalk. That’s the message being sent.

⇒ More kneeling than at a Catholic Mass (no more than 50 worshippers at a time)

Take a knee

It’s one thing to take a moment of silence, even on a knee, to remember the dear departed. But this bit of virtue signaling is a buy-in to the Colin Kaepernick school of endemic white guilt — a blood libel, particularly, on law enforcement which (the Marxists lecture) are nothing more than modern-day slave catchers.

Abject debasement and self-flaggelation is good politics in progressive Madison. The first brick has yet to be laid for the sheriff’s newer, smaller, more humane jail. The county board could still yield to the Derail the Jail crowd — they’re the same people running the George Floyd protests. Mahoney may need to order more GPS ankle bracelets. That’s IF District Attorney Ismael Ozanne even brings prosecution.

Colin Kaepernick fist
Madison is searching for a superintendent of public schools. Freedom Inc.’s Bianca Gomez could be in the running. (Here’s betting that police will be expelled from the four public high schools at the next opportunity, even though all four are minorities.) Interim Chief Wahl says he does not want the permanent job (and who could blame him?). Madison may choose a chief that makes David Couper look like Bull Connor.

If it’s knees we’re going to be taking, may we suggest remembering the 135 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty last year, nationwide? How about David Patrick Underwood, the federal law enforcement agent killed protecting the federal courthouse during the George Floyd riots in Oakland CA? He’s African-American, too. Or the 50 people (mostly minorities) shot in Chicago over Memorial Day weekend? The next day, another 28 were shot, including a 5-year-old girl standing with her family? None of them by police.

Police kneel, black power fist
Some knelt, others raised fists in Madison

Go ahead, apologize for the legacy of slavery, although Wisconsin bled to free the slaves and was an important cog on the Underground Railroad to freedom. We’re sorry about the disparity in school graduation rates; must not blame kids for roaming the hallways instead of attending classes taught by those (apparently) racist Madison teachers — all dues-paying labor union members.

It’s a damn shame that 55 years and $22 trillion (today’s money) of Great Society giveaways, subsidized housing, food stamps, free bus passes, affirmative action, state and federal anti-discrimination laws, university grievance studies, and midnight basketball have failed. Implicit bias, obviously.

Blaska’s Bottom LineIt would seem disempowering to play the victim of the white supremacist power structure in a city operated by progressive Democrats the last 50 years. Where the district attorney, two judges, the city council president, a state legislator, and four of seven school board members are minority race. But the liberal-progressive-socialist enterprise teaches victimhood and there’s something about reaping what was sown.

What are YOU apologizing for today?

  1. This should tell you a little bit about the validity of the claims that some of these advocate groups are making…

    1. You won’t see even one person from the advocacy groups like Black Lives Matter out protesting when the police kill a white person, they’re bald-faced transparent hypocrites.

It’s not about killing. It’s the manner in which he was killed and the false report filed afterword.

What I posted was not specifically about the Floyd killing; only a boneheaded imbecile would think so.

They, meaning the racist advocacy groups in Madison trying to get all black prisoners released from jail, really don’t give a damn how black people are killed by the police or even if they’re actually violent criminals, to them the fact that it happens is evidence of systemic racism against blacks. The problem is that those same people don’t give a damn if a white person is killed by police. The graph above shows that police kill more white people than they do black people, in fact it’s nearly twice as many or more, but yet these racist advocates only want to continue the false narrative that there is systemic racism against blacks and they just don’t give a damn if white people are killed by police – they’re immoral hypocrites.

Your missing the point steve; maybe you were distracted trying to write insults. People can pull numbers out of thin air all they want. A cop may kill a person, but this was cold blooded MURDER. That’s the point. If a cop shot a white guy and than stood there and emptied his gun, then reloaded and started shooting again there would be an outcry. “What’s your chart about steve?” now that’s funny.

        3. It’s also really interesting how organizations like Black Lives Matter make it their general practice of condemning all police with claims of systemic racism based on the actions of few bad apples but they sing an entirely different song if anyone should dare to condemn all blacks based on the violent criminal activities of a “few” bad apple blacks. The blatant moral hypocrisy of these groups is astounding.

Anyone that calls this cold-blooded murder is too ignorant of Murder/Capital Crime predicates to dignify with a reply and too monumentally STOOPID to engage!

      1. RATS!!! I forgot to put the title on it. Can you please add the following above the photo…

Number of people shot to death by the police in the United States from 2017 to 2020, by race

The filename of the photo also says that.

  2. I wasn’t responsible for slavery neither were the Republicans or my forefathers so, therefore, I will not take a knee. I have nothing to feel guilty about. Treat everyone equal is the way I was raised. It’s called the golden rule. No one gets special treatment.

Damn right. Unless they don’t have 24 hours a day like everyone else I know, don’t bleed red or sleep. People are people. Live and let live.

Anyways, I always find it amusing if Madison is such a racist city, why live here? Your not a tree. Move to your racists free city or better country.

I will donate to that cause.

Take a knee, not on your life. That is pandering and rewarding a negative behavior.

According to the L.A. Times today, Los Angeles will be looking to cut their police budget by up to $150 million, and re-allocate those funds to “Communities of Color.’ Come on Madison, you going to let L.A. ‘out-progressive’ you?? Let’s get with the program!

Apparently arresting 4 MNPLS officers counts for nada, zip, zud. Being satisfied w/ that would spoil the fun, and Heck, let’s get our next Xmas shopping done free in the meantime. Overall, the response by MDSN folks in charge degrades its concerned citizens –Kneeling by the Chief of the MPD and the Dane County Sheriff? And a mayor who applauds chaos, property damage and theft? Yoiks ! And worse yet, it emboldens smug, ignorant and churlish comments by Richard, the Chickenhearted….
