Democrats appoint foul-mouthed partisan to Ethics Board

F-bomber (One) Scot Ross is a ‘loathsome appointment’

Arrogan one scot

A real piece of work

The public square has been further degraded. (One) Scot Ross has been appointed to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission. Cover your children’s ears, stock up on mouthwash, be prepared to hit the Bleep-out button. The man is the F-35 fighter jet of F-bombing political trash talkers.

The Ethics Commission is the guardian of Wisconsin’s political morality, such as it is. (One) Scot Ross is One of the most foul-mouthed, gut-punching partisans in politics. Former head of a dark-money special ops outfit called One Wisconsin Now. Does the dirty work the Democrat(ic) party is too embarrassed to do. For the next five years, (One) Scot Ross will sit in judgment:

  • of your ethics, state public officials;
  • whether you’ve filled out the right forms, candidates for state public office;
  • source of your funding, citizen groups who wish to speak in the public arena.

He’s the (One) Scot Ross:

One Scott Ross medley

For the record …

All of which is beautiful music to Senate Democrat(ic) leader Jennifer Shilling, who used her one allotted appointment to the Ethics Commission on One Scot.

“Scott Ross has championed efforts to preserve Wisconsin’s proud tradition of clean, open and transparent government, high ethical standards …” blah, blah, blah, Schilling said, in announcing her statutory appointment (needs no confirmation) to the six-member Ethics Commission. (More here.) Schilling is leaving the Senate, so perhaps this is her farewell raspberry.

How much must Jen Shilling hate Wisconsinites to make such a loathsome appointment? asks State Rep. Barb Ward Dittrich, R-Oconomowoc.

Blaska’s up-close experience with One Scot was our appearance on WKOW-TV27’s Capital City Sunday program a few years ago. After the cameras dimmed, One Scot let loose a two-minute stream of obscene invective. Our host’s eyes turned into blank saucers. Blaska merely smiled.

UPDATED HUZZAH! WI State Journal editorial: “Shilling soils Senate exit with bad pick.”

Blaska’s Bottom Line: Who will Democrats put up next? Andrew Dice Clay?

Who else would make a good Democrat(ic) appointee?

    One Scot Ross seems to know how to play just fine when he shares the screen with Bill McCoshen and is fully capable of articulating a position in family-acceptable language. So he likes to use coarse language on his personal FB page. Big whoop. Don’t get the vapors, you snowflakes. I could cherry-pick enough quotes from Blaska’s Blogge to (aside from the spicy language) make him sound unhinged.
    And Shilling is leader of the Senate Democrats, not the Assembly.

      It’s just that he appears to be the last professional person one would want to be an arbiter of ethics, that’s all.

        In AnonyBob’s world, the only time someone as ethically-challenged, and/or as morally bankrupt, as Ross wouldn’t pass muster would be if they’re an EVIL Righty.

        And why’s no one pressing Shilling to unequivocally determine whether or not she considered any melanin possessing, X-Chromosomal Unit equipped, or alternative lifestyle embracing box-checker candidates?

      Love it when Progs stick together and defend the indefensible. No cherry picking, A-Bob, those are screen captures of the man’s actual statements, unredacted.

    Sad (and telling) statement that of all the people the Dems could have picked, this is who they chose?

    All of this phony civilized bullshit over the last few centuries has gotten rather boring, don’t you think? Accelerate towards open civil war. Faster.

      Ross appears to be one of those people who’s continued existence relies upon the good graces of those around him. He lives in a world where the worst thing that’s going to happen to him when he runs his mouth is Blaska writing about him. Some people simply haven’t received enough educational beat downs during their formative years.

    It figures that: A. Progressives would assign this meaningful post to someone totally unsuitable in demeanor, inteligence and apparent civility. B. So, Of COURSE Abob would support such a clown, and then project his shortcomings on to the Squire. Two simple minds = “All Gong, No Dinner”….

    Scot Ross is partisan? OH, NO! Pardon me while I clutch my pearls! Do you nimrods have any idea of the backgrounds of the other commissioners? Obviously not.
    Oh, he’s not “professional” enough for some of you? He has a potty mouth on his outraged, hilarious and insightful personal FB page? He’s clearly professional when the setting calls for it.
    No, your real objection is that he’s going to hold this state’s corrupt and unethical GOP’s feet to the fire. Too bad, so sad. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch.

    A-Bobster, “Methinks thou dost protest too much”, are you too embarrassed to admit Ross’ limited intellect? His reliance on “shock” to overshadow his lack of knowledge? I think so, since you describe his FB page repetitive slobberin’ as “insightful”. Yep, don’t let go o’ them pearls just yet. He’ll be making ya quiver all over when he interacts on that board, and displays all his (“potty mouth…. outraged, hilarious and insightful”) delightful, gracious & special attributes…
